The company had only a single worker on the job. He was friendly and hard working. There were times when they left the job for days without any explanation. The job took approximately 1 month to finish. The owner came by to collect his money before the job was complete. The deck, front and rear, failed the inspection by the town. When presented with this information he insisted on complete payment. He even went so far to say, "I'll get my money one way or another." He also insisted on an extra $800 beyond the contracted amount due to 'unforeseen' additional labor incurred. The failing items at inspection were stair depth and stair backers. After many threats of law suites he corrected the mistakes. Damage was down to my lawns and front walk with no offer of repair. Now, almost 1 year later, I have loose steps and splitting in the wooden boards. These I will fix myself.
Description of Work: Builder was contracted to build a rear deck (15 X 10) and remove a front cement stoop and replace that with a wooden porch (6 X 6).
