Joe was very professional and discussed many ideas that I could perform to make the unfinished basement space more allergenic. The leak area around one beam that he could highlight with his infra-red tools is not so much a mold remediation job but one of a contractor who can repair a small flat roof and flashing and then open up the indoor beam and remediate from there. Joe's observations and experience provided me with assurance that I wasn't really dealing with a serious mold issue, and he provided good guidance on how to approach my clean-up.

Joe was punctual and commenced working immediately. He couldn't tell at first where the leak was coming from that caused the mold, but he remediated the mold site and disinfected it. What a relief! He came back and inspected and determined what he concluded was the cause of the build up of moisture, so that we could rectify the problme. He was very responsive and his assistant Eric who did the carpentry work is fantastic! I highly recommend Joe. He is honest and upfront and provides quality workmanship.

Everything turned out well. He came when he said he would and did mold testing. I did not end up having any mold. He provided me with a letter to submit for the sale of the home. Very thorough.

He came over for a free estimate which was under what others had quoted. He saw all the areas where there was mold and advised us very carefully on what the situation was and what would be done about it. His manner was mostly professional but he seemed a little abrupt at times. Once the work began he was on time and did a very thorough job. removed all affected wood and cleaned up all possible affected walls. I especially appreciated the fact that they removed all the shelves in the store and cleaned the brackets thoroughly. Came on another day within the week to repaint/treat the store.

Joe was thorough and quite helpful. He made suggestions that we could do ourselves, not just projects that his company would do. With his help, we were able to think through a step-by-step plan that might rectify some questionable conditions in the house. Excellent service.

I had recently had extermination service done in my apt and they discovered a leak that they believed might be causing mold. I called Mike immediately after searching on Angies list and reading reviews for someone to come in and do a mold test asap. I calle on Wednesday and spoke with Mike who told me he might be able to come the following day if his appt which he thought might be cancelled in ct. otherwise he could probably come on friday. I called late morning on thursday and he told me he wasnt able to come that day because he had to take his mother to a dr's appt but would call me back to schedule an appt for the following day. I never heard back from him and gave him a call back on friday, I left a message and have yet to hear back from him. As a small business owner myself I understand the demands of balancing biz and personal and totally understood if in fact he did have to take his mother to the doctor but to not have the courtesy or professionalism to return the call is unacceptable. I have since reached out to another company who was here to do the service in less then 48 hrs of my initial call to them.

He examined the problem the same day I called and quickly concluded that it was not a case of mold, told us that, and suggested our next steps. He did not even charge for the visit even though he came and spent time evaluating the situation.

Joseph came to my house to evaluate a mold problem in my bathroom - I don't know much about mold, and I thought it was pretty bad. After his inspection, he reassured me that I was in much better shape than I thought and suggested some things I could do myself to fix the problem, with the assurance that if I came across anything I couldn't handle that he would come back. He did not charge me for the evaluation. Now THAT is an honest contractor. I wouldn't hesitate to put my trust in his services and I'll be keeping his information just in case I should ever have the need.

Joe did a great inspection, addressing all my concerns and worries. After the inspection he told me his honest opinion and what I should do. He saved me thoudands! so happy with their company!

Joe came to my house on time. He looked at all the places were I thought we had mold. He suggested many things that I could do myself to fix the small problems we had. He refused payment even thiugh he was there over an hour. I would definately hire him again and reccomend him to all my friends.

Told me the mold I had was not toxic and how to have it removed. I have a contractor friend who will cut open the wall and remove the dead plant or animal causing it. He wS very informative and said it was not toxic. I highly recommend him.

They were excellent! They were on time, they were efficient, and they were thorough. Their price was competitive.

Joe arrived early and gave us his professional opinion regarding a possible mold situation. He provided us with a wealth of information regarding mold growth in Cape Cod style homes. Although he did not see anything that he was able to help us with, I will surely contact him in the future if we have any other mold situations. He did not charge us for his time and we appreciated his experience and knowledge regarding mold and the growth of mold.

Was fast and efficient. We'd use Joe again if we ever needed his services and would certainly recommend him.

We decided to use his advice and machinery and do it ourselves.

Joe told me he is usually in Brooklyn one day a week and would give a free estimate regarding removal of mold on that day. Joe was 100% true to his word and comes across as a genuine businessman; knowledgeable, professional, friendly, honest. He was extremely upfront regarding our issue and how he could help. I will absolutely be calling on his expertise in the future for remediation.

After a few more emails we were able to negotiate a time that Joe would come to clean the roof in September. He came on October 8th. Since he didn't have a powerwasher he had to rely on a hand pump and sprayed the solution on the roof. It was not neat and after the first few rain storms the residue eventually washed off the roof. The stains are still there. Faded a bit but still there nonetheless.

Joe is very professional as well as an honest business man. After inspecting the premises he gave us some recommendations and did not charge a fee. There should be more business people like him. Refreshing to find honesty. Thank you Joe.

We made an appointment for the following Saturday (yesterday) and I confirmed on Thursday, asking for a call back to confirm. Did not receive a call back. Called again Friday night and left a voicemail (unreturned). On Saturday, it was beautiful out but I was home waiting for a contractor that did not show up but worse, did not return my calls.

Joseph is a life saver! That's my quote to him exactly. We're in the process of buying an older home in Clifton and we have an FHA loan. Well, FHA is super strict with requirements of things that need to be taken care of before the loan will close. (I'm talking even painting a basement floor that has old faded/peeling paint). Can you believe it?!! The seller is responsible for all these repairs but she's a little old lady who lost her husband recently so we told her we would help her to take care of all these trivial items that FHA requires. Mold in the basement was one of those issues. We had a mold guy come and give her an estimate. While there, the guy told us the mold was not dangerous and no big deal, and all the basement needs is ventilation to prevent it from occurring again, there was some water leaking in at some point which was evident, but nothing major and we could easily remove this mold ourselves. We thought ..."GREAT!". Then we get the estimate for the mold removal and he wanted to charge $6,000. WHAT?!! We told the seller we'd remove the mold ourselves. We bought all the supplies and followed what the estimate report said he was going to do. It was NOT $6,000 worth of work! FHA requires a certification letter from a mold professional to verify that we removed the mold properly. Our fear was that a mold guy was going to come in and take advantage of us (since we're new to this) and tell us we didn't get it all and he'll need to do this that and the other. No way were we going to call back the first guy...Mr. $6,000! lol. So we found Joe on Angie's list and saw all the great reviews. Well, I can honestly say that Joe is the most honest and considerate guy. He admitted that these FHA guys were overly cautious. He turned around with the verification letter we needed in no time and did NOT take advantage of us rookies. I couldn't believe how great he was. We were so pleased to find such an honest and considerate person still doing business today. THANK YOU JOE!!!!! People with mold issues - go to Joe. Seriously, I can't stress enough how great he was to us. We're so relieved to have found him.

Joe from Fresh Maintenance came and treated the mold. Joe treated the attic sheathing and after he finished He told me that the mold will disappear within a few days to give time for the treatment to penetrate & dry completely. Unfortunately mold grows in the cold weather and because the ROOFER blocked the soffit vents with the insulation I had a mess on my hand with the regrowth of mold. I finally got a roofer who knew what they were doing & the vents were cleared of the insulation & larger cavities were made in the wood soffits around the perimeter of the house. This allowed for adequate air flow through the soffits into the attic area. I called Joe from Fresh Maintenance & explained who I was. He remembered the situation and scheduled a time to retreat the area. He was very considerate of my situation & eased my worries that the attic is now well ventilated & that the mold will go away & I won't even know that it even existed. I can't wait to use my attic for storage again . Thanks Joe for a job well done! I am so grateful and I highly recommend Fresh Maintenance !!!!

Joe is extremely easy to speak with. He totally defined the problem and solution prior to any estimate, contracts, etc. Once the contract was in place I had to follow up with him several times and he responded in mere minutes. His crew came on time every morning as it was a 5 day process and totally gutted out the basement (mold was everywhere as this was an abandoned home). Sheetrock, insulation, beams, nails, etc were totally removed and every inch of mold was gone. Air tests came back negative. The crew cleaned up thoroughly -- no complaints whatsoever. Hopefully, we'll never cross paths again, but if we do, Fresh Maintenance is the only place I'll call.

He was great. He told me what to do so mold doesn't grow and what to clean. He gave me the name of some good products like a great DE-humidifier and if I want to paint, which kind of paint. He didn't charge me and he was really very helpful. I would use him again in a second.

Joe did an inspection and found my tenant's smoking and candle burning were responsible for the mysterious soot which had built up on the inside of a few exterior walls. Using an infrared camera he was able to rule out any water damage. Despite investing his time and providing an expert analysis, he wouldn't accept a penny. While I hope never to need his services, the only person I need to call is Joe.
