The first winter the bolier could not keep up with the heat requirements, thus he had to install a larger bolier, major issue. The first winter the Hot water coil in the upstairs unico froze up. He neglected to add Anti-freeze to the system. The first summer the AC system up stairs could not keep up with the cooling requirements, he miscalculated the unit size, he had to replace the entire air handler; and condenser unit. Major issue. Numerous leaks is the system air infiltration. Plumbing manifold was built wrong.. Had to rebuild, now looks terrible. The UNICO modules were not installed in the correct order; the heating coli is between the AC evaporator coil , thus nothing but a sweating heating coil all summer long. So.. Today 13 years later I had an estimate done to rip out the old upstairs AC/ heat unit, redo all the duct work and make it work they ways it is suppose to. When the owner of the new company asked who did the install told him Ed Bishop. His response enough said. Ed is a nice guy , but work is shoddy; and he lacks the knowledge to perform adequate heat calculations., As I have seen first hand. There are many other capable / knowledgeable contractors in the area, that have the resources to perform the job correctly. I stand by my statements; you are welcome to contact me directly.

Ed Bishop from Enhanced Living came out to give us a quote. He was courteous and professional, asking about future plans in the house and making a water heater recommendation that was significantly less expensive than what I originally had in mind. I did not feel like I had a salesperson in my house - just a friendly, knowledgeable contractor. He left a packet of information about his company and their focus (comfort and efficiency seemed to be highlights). His quote landed right in the middle of the four we received, but unlike the other contractors, he included a 37-month guarantee, which was a deciding factor for us, along with the fair price and excellent references. He also included installing a tee for future gas appliances in the quote, without my asking. I thought this was a nice little bonus, as it demonstrated forethought and will certainly be convenient when we are ready to install a natural gas range in our kitchen. Ed came out soon after we made our decision with an assistant, who was also very courteous and pleasant. Although they had some trouble with a malfunctioning pipe fitting tool, Ed and his assistant were able to get the gas pipes run and the boiler converted in one day. My husband and I were both impressed by the neat and sturdy gas pipe layout, constructed of pipes that screw together rather than the thin, bendable copper pipes I've seen in other houses for gas lines (and which are part of our old propane setup). After converting my boiler, Ed noted that the original vent exhaust had been installed upside down and that the exhaust pipe from the hot water tank was too small. Fixing the upside-down vent was a small add on to the price, but I'm glad I ok'ed it as I agreed with Ed that getting it right is the way to go! I'm also really glad he decided to change the layout and size of the vent exhaust from the hot water tank - it looks much more professional and sensible now. Installation of the water tank also proceeded smoothly. Both the boiler and hot water tank fired up nicely. Too nicely in fact when it came to our boiler! Ed turned the thermostat up to 90 on the 80-degree day to get the boiler to kick on. About fifteen minutes after he left (and five minutes after I had noticed the house was getting "mysteriously" hotter and turned the thermostat back down), Ed called to let me know I should turn down the thermostat since he had forgotten on his way out. I was hot, but at least happy to know the boiler was working properly! Unfolding from quote to completed job in just over a couple weeks, the whole process was very quick and smooth. Ed was straightforward and honest throughout, ready to answer any questions I had. The only problem we had during the project was a small gas leak. I originally thought the smell of gas in the basement was just a remnant from the work. When the smell still hadn't dissipated a couple days later, I called Ed. He came by within the hour and was able to find the leak and repair it. After inspection later that evening, our gas utility confirmed that there were no other leaks and that our whole system was safe and good to go. Overall, I am very happy with my selection of Enhanced Living. I feel confident that he will honor his warranty should anything go wrong. I will certainly consider him again in a few years when it comes time to replace our boiler and for any other HVAC needs we may have. UPDATE 1/14/2013 A few months after installation, I noticed a gas smell in the basement after returning home from a vacation. A miniscule leak somehow slipped past the utility company during the last inspection and I hadn't taken note of the smell until I was away from it for a while. True to the warranty, Ed came by and repaired the problem. We haven't had any problems since. We've put the boiler and hot water tank through their paces this winter and everything is working as it should.

Please see the above since I really answered this in that paragraph. He was always on time, patient with my questions and taking the time to decide on the system. Very nice, courteous, helpful and clearly knowledgable. From the first meeting, through the actual installation of the new furnace, removal of the old furnace, they were on time, communicated well and were artisans.
