The estimate given by Rob who visited the house was $8000.once my items weee loaded in the truck they called a few days later to say the cost was now $12000. We were stuck: they had our stuff. Upon delivery in Florida 2 weeks later, the moving staff was nasty and rude. This is the horror stories you hear about movers come true. They lowball the estimate to get the job then double it when they have your belongings. Our advice: go elsewhere for movers. Very dissatisfied. We could understand if they had not come out to my house to see everything but they did!!!!! What a ripoff.

Excellent. Courteous, professional employees. Could have hired less expensive movers, but you get what you pay for. We made a good choice. Recommend highly!

They claim they have their own trucks and drivers. The drivers are basically separate from Verity. They both pack things but when you say something's wrong, either party will take responsibility. They packed different rooms into same boxes (bathroom with kitchen) without marking them, so you have no idea what are in the boxes. It literally was a FIASCO. NEVER EVER USE VERITY!!

The guys were amazing ... from Sal who did the estimate to the movers, Dennis and Kyle and the rest of the crew. They were thorough, careful, considerate and helpful! Even when faced with mud and obstacles they handled it all very well. We were very happy and thankful to get such great people and would use them again if it were possible. I would highly recommend them.

Mike sent a dependable, hard working, careful, and reliable crew to help us move a piano, some furniture, and other household items from Long Island, NY, to Vermont. They were careful about everything, making sure all was well packed and padded. They were to pick up on one day, store the items for a couple of days, and deliver to Vermont. They arrived in Vermont before we did! While unloading, the head mover/driver offered to find out why the heat wasn't working in the house from a previous career of his). He quickly determined the problem. The crew was personable, friendly, jovial, careful, efficient, and fast. This was my first time using a moving company. I had heard all of the nightmare stories. This was a perfect experience. Nothing broken, lost, or damaged. Fast packing and pick up. Speedy unloading. And lots good interactions with nice people.

The guys came in packed up everything efficiently, and they were very professional. Phenomenal service! I would highly recommend them to anybody.

They're the best company you could ever use. They're terrific. I used them through Angie's List. They did an excellent job. Everything was delivered perfectly. I would recommend them to anybody who's moving. The gentleman who came to the house made us choose them. I really liked the way he acted. He was terrific. I just liked him the best. I thought he was honest, fair and he could take care of my stuff like his own. He was the highest but we used him anyway. Everything was perfect and everything was accounted for. I would use them in a heartbeat. He was very professional and he gave me some very good advice. Him telling me what he told me saved me the money.

It went so well. They packed our dishes, all of the electronics and my husband's music collection of CD's, albums and cassettes. That was no small task, An employee came a couple of days before the actual move and did it all himself in one day. They came on time on the day of the move and packed it all in their truck. One week later, as promised, it all arrived on time and with nothing broken. I would definitely use them again and would recommend to all who need a mover.

IT WAS GREAT! they came when they said they would (earlier actually). The men were very professional and friendly. They had a difficult time moving a couple of pieces into my apt, but never gave up and finally made it work without a bit of damage. I would recommend them in a second to anyone looking for a reliable, professional moving company.

Robert Johnson met with us to discuss our moving plans and to give us an estimated quote. Rob was great and very helpful in making sure we had everything we needed for the move and for helping us get the best pricing possible. We got very lucky in that we were able to split the moving truck with another family that was moving. The two gentlemen that came on moving day (I wish I could remember their names!) they were fantastic! They were latino and african american. They provided excellent customer service in New York and in North Carolina. If moving has been a headache for you in the past, I HIGHLY recommend Verity Van Lines! Too bad they don't provide service when moving within North Carolina, I would have used them again without hesitation!

We chose Verity Van Lines based on their positive reviews on Angie's list. We interviewed five companies that all were highly rated on Angie's list and Verity was the least expensive. Rob Johnson, the salesman, gave us the quotation and after we told him what the next lowest one was, he came back to re-evaluate. After doing so, he was satisfied with his quote. We confirmed with Rob that we were covered with insurance as long as Verity did all the packing. Verity showed up on time and the two men who packed the first day were quite good. Nelson, the driver, is a wonder. He calmly solved problems that left everyone throwing their hands up in the air. He has the rare quality of thinking deeply before he speaks and I give him the highest of recommendations. The next day a passel of packers showed up and it became chaotic. Beforehand we made a plan of lettering boxes as to where they would go when delivered. This went out the window, as packers seemingly tossed stuff in boxes. One packer, we were told, had no experience and he got the days work on the basis of his providing a ride to another packer. We started to have a sinking feeling. We called for an update and the woman answering the phone was brusque, unhelpful and refused to transfer the call saying that company policy was that she would have to take a message and the salesman would get back to us. This is bad business, and the call wasn't returned. A week later Nelson and a very competent and personable professional unloaded. Since the boxes were poorly and mostly incorrectly marked this became a problem. It turned out that outside of being wrong, some packers were illiterate with one notable box being marked Ketchin and frigilli. it With over 300 boxes, it took us quite awhile to unpack and what was should have been an organized plan became a haphazard free for all due to mismarked boxes. Many boxes were marked with one items and inside held many different items from all over the house. We were appalled to find so many boxes full of unwrapped, carelessly tossed in delicate items that were broken in transit due to lack of care, padding and planning. Three pieces of art were missing and we told by Dominick, the dispatch manager that "it is most likely that these items will turn up in your home as your shipment was loaded and delivered directly without a transfer of any kind." That quote is just wrong because packing the second day used a different van and we were told by Nelson that it would go into the big one later on. In Florida he said that everything was removed and put on two different vans. In out opinion this allows for the possibility of loss. This is especially true since a good number of the boxes had no numbers which fell off in transit. Broken items were considerable including a $1500 color laser printer, coat rack, lamps, a rare geode which was cracked in half with the second half never turning up, and missing art work that never turned up. In all the entire missing/broken/lost items were worth about $3,000 outside of having sentimental value which can't be quantified. Verity told us that if they didn't unpack we weren't covered which is opposite to what we were told by Rob Johnson. After our documenting of everything and sending dozens of pictures at their request, it took a month to receive a form letter saying that Verity is not responsible and they wanted to buy us off with a $200 gesture of good will. In reality included in our move was $85,000 worth of full value coverage with a $250 total deductible. We consider this cavalier treatment as a slap in the face, being totally negligent of their customers property, and when we were told that Verity had to unpack. If they did it would have taken a month and needed a space as large as an airplane hanger. This is patently absurd and we feel taken advantage of. We feel we planned well, did everything right and Verity dropped almost every ball. The only positive thing we can say is that Nelson was the most professional person in the entire company, even taking personal reponsibility for a scraped wall that would come out of his paycheck. We recommend Nelson completely but do not recommend Verity. They talk big under deliver using packers and workmen that are untrained and unprofessional. One packer was on his cell phone all day until Nelson was told this is going on whereapon he hung up until no one was watching. We wish we paid a little more and had a worry free move, instead of the h*** that Verity Van Lines put us through,.

Initially we had an estimate by a very professional and personable rep. Our household was prepped and packed by a capable and caring crew who arrived on time and worked efficiently to move our things onto their van. The crew chief Gino promised a delivery in Florida in 7-10 days. Nine days later Gino called to let us know that he would like to deliver our goods the next day. Gino arrived right on time and they made the delivery completely to our satisfaction. We want to commend Verity and especially Gino for an excellent job.

We had a very good experience, with no damage to either our furniture or property. The staff were very friendly and did a great job. They took the time to make sure that we were happy with the placement of our furniture and delivered our unused furniture to our gargage.We would definitely recommend Verity.

Verity Van Lines were fantastic. They were really great in every way. They packed stuff up for me really well, honest, nothing was broken, came on time and nice. There was nothing I didn't like. They were very careful with my stuff and when they packed, they packed very well. They arrived in Florida as promised and they unloaded and put everything in its place. Their price was excellent. I did shopping around and I had estimates that were twice their price, I had estimates that were less, they are not the cheapest but they were the best. I will use them again 100%.

They were helpful, friendly and respectful. It was a 90 year old moving after living in her home for 56 years, and the movers were really the best part of the experience. Booking the move was good. We had one person's contact that was helpful and informative. For the actual move there was a man in charge of the inventory. There was also the driver and one crew member that we were introduced to. They showed up on time both times. Nothing got broken or lost. Everything was excellent. I would give them an A++ if I could.

Rob, came to give the estimate, on time, dressed professionally, with packet on packing and moving tips. He was well spoken, polite, very professional. His estimate was fair. I actually increased the number of boxes substantially, He told me that i might have to pay another $1000. This was a fair estimation. But as it turned out, when they weighed the truck, i paid less than the original estimate. The men where on time, courteous, hard working. When the truck was loaded, there was a discrepency between the number of boxes i had listed with their count. I was permitted to write in my objection to their count. Anyway all arrived to Georgia. They had to split the delivery to two separate locations. They were wonderful. I would highly recommend them
