Barry arrived within an hour of my phone call. He explained what he would do. He sprayed a yellow jacket nest that was in the wall of my house. He checked the interior of the house for any signs of them. He was very thorough. Within a few hours there were no more yellow jackets flying around.

I left a panicked late-night message after hearing mice in my ceiling. Barry called back the next morning and came out that day to lay bait traps and plug some holes outside. He worked quickly and efficiently, and is a very nice person to do business with. Best part, I haven't heard any mice since. I absolutely recommend Home Town for any pest problems.

Barry was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. His work was thorough and he was able to respond in one day (though during the warm weather he said that was not so easily done). He was very clean and careful of our house. I recommend him highly.

He didn't even really want to come out!!! He told me if I didn't want him to put poison all thru my house (I have small children) that I should set up my own traps!!! He just didn't want to be bothered it seemed. Which makes no sense since I would have had to pay him for his work!!! Don't bother calling this guy.

Within two hours after I made the initial call, Barry arrived and promptly went to work. He sprayed inside and out and within an hour, the problem was resolved. I can't say enough positive things about the service and Barry. He was wonderful and the price was more than reasonable. I will definitely use this provider again.

They were great. He was on time and very helpful. While he was working, he thoroughly explained what the problems were and how he was trying to resolve them. He found a few places where he thought mice were entering the home and he fixed them. We would call them again for any future extermination needs.

He was fantastic. I called him in the early morning and he came out that day. He was professional and knew exactly what he was doing. He was there for an hour and we found him to be very knowledgeable and great to work with. He offered us the Angie's list discount we did not even know to ask for. I would easily use his services again...but hope we do not have to.

Reasonable scheduling TAT and excellent follow-up. I had my local property management contact call Barry and he was able to come over in a reasonable time to our 3-unit building, even during one of the busiest time of the year for mice. He baited and trapped and two weeks later we still had reported issues and after giving Barry a call back he came back at no charge to inspect for follow-up. A good level of service that you don't often see, especially in the Capitol area.

Barry worked fast and clean. He did this work at a great price and even gave a 10% discount for me being an Angie's list member! He was great!

Barry called within in hour of me leaving a message. He gave me excellent advise over the phone in a 20 minute call and asked me to follow his advise first. He offered to come for a visit if required. There are not too many businesses that would do that these days. Barry returned my call within one hour. He told me he'd be there the next day between 11:30 and 12:15; he was at my front door at 11:45. Almost before he got out of his truck he spotted one nest in the bricks close to the ground that I hadn't seen. He was at my house for an hour, during which time he applied three different kinds of pesticides to the nests (leaving me the materials data sheets for the chemicals, which I appreciated.) He explained the difference between wasps and yellow jackets, and told me what I could expect over the next few days. It's been one day, and so far I haven't seen a single live wasp or yellow jacket near where the nests were. Highly professional, knowledgeable person! I would not hesitate to call him again if necessary.

It was clearly a professional job, and it could hardly have gone any better. I called Barry because he lives not far away, and because he was very well recommended on Angie's list. I was not disappointed.

Called Barry and arranged an appointment in less than 48 hrs. He arrived a few minutes early for an early morning appointment. He inspected inside the house to verify the extent of infestation, then treated area outside house where wasps were entering. Also treated two other nests. He answered all of our questions and offered a return visit if necessary. The initial treatment worked at all 3 locations.

Great company to do business with. Initial call to voice mail @ 10:00 Call back from Barry within 15 minutes. 2 hrs later he was at our house finding and eliminating three bee's nests result - no more bees.

Provider arrived on schedule to perform services. Provider treated apartment for bedbugs and then explained various aspects of the treatment upon completion. He also emphasized the need for tenant to undertake certain actions (e.g. removal of contaminated furniture and heat treatment of clothing & bedding). Price was as quoted. To date, treatment appears to be have worked!

GREAT! I contacted Home Town Pest Management on Friday evening after 6:00 PM. Barry, the owner, called me back within 10 minutes. Awesome response. I explained to him that my neighbor had pointed out a huge bees nest under the eve of my home. Barry seemed to have a pretty good idea of what type of bees they were and quoted me a price for removal. When I asked when he could take care of it, he responded, "how about tomorrow morning (Saturday) at 8:30 AM?" Barry showed up at 8:30 or a little before and took care of the hornets and the nest. Thank you Home Town Pest Management for your prompt professional service, even on the weekend.

This provider came to my home to give me an estimate to treat for carpenter bees. After checking the porches and deck, he told me that I did not need an exterminator and that it would be "wrong" to take my money. He explained that the few bees that we saw were most likely from somewhere else, I admire his honesty and would surely call him again if I thought I needed an exterminator.

Barry came to my home within a week and sprayed some pesticide in my wall. No bees since!! Great guy, gave me a discount for finding him on Angie's List and would definitely use again.

treatment had to be repeated but free of charge

Barry was great! Arrived early, explained everything in detail, what he would be doing and where. Keep kids and animals inside. Insisted on giving me an estimate, even though I told him not to bother. He was done in a timely fashion, gave me a list of the chemicals he had used, and even cleaned up after himself. I will use again for sure!

Just what was mentioned above. I am not sure if these reviews are genuine based on my first experience with Angie's List.

It was an excellent experience

The exterminator searched both the interior and exterior of house and found the ant nest. Placed ant poison around house. He came for a follow-up visit a month later when ants were still appearing and reapplied poison. Now problem is completely solved. Excellent service and very professional at a fair price.

I left a message with the receptionist (at 4:56 pm mind you) & she promised me a same day call back. Even though I told her I didn't need a call back the same day, I got one. When Barry called me back, he was a wealth of very specific knowledge about both flea bites and bed bug bites - including what pattern to look for, etc. He thoroughly discussed my concerns with me, talked about what I had done to assess the situation & what else I could do. He even made the recommendation/suggestion that perhaps what I was experiencing was not a bite at all; but either a stress reaction or an allergic reaction to a medication; change in soap, etc. He probably spent 15 to 20 minutes on the phone with me - never once made me feel rushed, took his time to thoroughly evaluate, give recommendations, etc. Turns out he was right - I checked out a medication that had been 'passed' by my dr/pharmacist as 'ok' for me & found out it contains an ingredient I am known to be allergic to. If I ever had a job that required his services, I would absolutely use Barry's Hometown Pest Management services.
