Great...Does good job, friendly and listens to what I have to say regarding certain areas of my lawn service

Scott and his crew were very professional and timely. Most of the work was done last spring after the long periods of rain we had were over. The new grass did not come in quit as well as expected, I emailed Scott, he came back, re-seeded the areas that needed and aireighted the soil, now 6 weeks area we are very happy campers!

First, the good. Seasonal lawn care. You could set your calendar and watch by these guys who showed up, offloaded two zero turn mowers and, while those two mowers mowed, a third guy did the trimming. They were gone in under 15 minutes. No loud machines for a long time. Loved that part of it. My lawn was very neatly trimmed and maintained and I couldn't have been happier. Now the bad. There was a need to have the entire back yard peeled up, leveled, and seeded. I don't know if it's common for the types of businesses to haul that sort of stuff off, but I made arrangements with a neighbor to dump this organic material on his 80+ acre property. The business owner didn't want to have to do that - too many trips with the equipment or whatever. So, he dumped the stuff up and over my 6 ft. privacy fence. BARELY over the fence. A few weeks later, a good heavy rain caused a sort of landslide of this piled up dirt and sod, and now my privacy fence is falling down in several spaces. In the process of grading and leveling the ground, my little wooden bridge was demolished and left in pieces where it stood (out of the lawn). A post with an electrical outlet which was in the ground (left over from the pool) is now at a 45 degree angle as well. Topsoil was brought in (twice) to help level and grade the lawn, and a piece of equipment that rolls the lawn was brought in, but broke down. An area at the back of the yard, at the privacy fence, which was overgrown with weed and untended perennials was scraped up in about 5 areas, but not completely - no rhyme or reason to it. It looks like h*** back there now. Fields of Green should stick to lawn maintenance and leave the heavy lifting to people with more experience.

They come every week, do a great job for a reasonable price. It's the best 30 dollars I spend every week!

I was impressed by Scott's quick response and his overall professionalism. He stayed on site and worked alongside his team until the job was done. They cleaned the driveway and sidewalk, and there was no problem with receiving the discount offered on Angie's List.

They did a beautiful job. I actually had to leave on a trip halfway through the day and I trusted Scott and his crew to complete the work as we had discussed . I was not disappointed. An eyesore of a garden in my new home was transformed into a space I can be proud of and enjoy!

Scott was prompt and helpful right from the start. He replied to my request immediately. We set up an appointment for an estimate right away and he showed up promptly. He was able to come early to complete the work, doing it all in one afternoon! I was very happy with the work.

All I can say is from calling for estimate and when job was completed was fast and efficent. Scott and crew were in and out within 2hours, put everything out at the curb for the town to pick out, cleaned up, wouldnt have even known they were there, and everything looked GREAT.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic! Scott played a huge part of helping us design the addition, and helped us pick the flowers, shrubs, and bushes. The work was done well, and very quickly. My wife and I had some concerns about one of the shrubs - Scott was extremely flexible with replacing it. The whole experience was very pleasant, prompt and professional. Highly recommended!

I would not recommend this company. I was shocked by how quickly they did the job - not in a good way - and how little attention to detail they paid. I have used other lawn companies before and never has my lawn been damaged like it was repeatedly by this crew. I simply think they did the job too quickly to take good care of my lawn.

This is the first time I ran an entire transaction through Angie's List. I am impressed. Scott communicated with me through the entire process, quoted a fair price, and performed the work BEFORE I expected him to. I find this kind of performance rare in this day and age. I recommend Fields of Green highly.

I had emailed Scott with all this work and he he responded right away. He came out on a Saturday to estimate and see the work that would need to be completed. Then got back to me Sunday with numbers. I agreed to have the work done and Scott came out Monday to start the job. Professional, courteous and easy to work with. Definitely more than fair as well. Neighbors have already commented that the work he did was outstanding. Our biggest challenge was coming up with a fair number for the demolition of my shed. I had mentioned to Scott that I felt the job would have some surprises. Well not only was the cement probably 8-12 inches thick it had wire mesh in it. Right away I told Scott to change order me as it was much more work than he or I thought it was going to be. When the change order came in i was shocked it wasn't higher. I gave him more money than what he asked because I felt he deserved every penny of it. I wish I had pictures to show individuals how hard this job must have been jack hammering at that pad and hauling huge blocks of concrete. He did a fantastic job and was very careful not to damage anything in the process. Our trees have never looked better now that they are trimmed. I no longer have to worry about trimming it right as Scott knew what to do. It was also nice to get the dead tree out. In addition it is nice that the dirt mounds the previous home owners had to cover up dead stumps are gone. It looks much nicer and is all ready to be seeded next year. Best of all my fiance and I absolutely love the burning bush hedge he planted. He worked with us and was cooperative with placement. I am very happy with all the work that he did. I hope to use Scott again for the first mow of the season maybe and some other landscaping work down the road. The work took a total of 2 business days. Impressive turn around in my opinion.

Perfectly. Scott showed up exactly when he said he would and di the work promptly with no muss and no fuss. He is a cordial and caring person who knows how to keep his customers and how to keep them satisfied.

When first contacted for a quote, Scott was timely in getting back to us (the house and our son were in Rochester but we were in Maryland). When we came up to Rochester to meet him (as well as deal with other house-related issues) for a quote, he was on time and was obviously very able to do everything we needed, including making suggestions. Work was done on time and efficiently - on what was probably one of the hottest days of the summer in Rochester. His crew was professional, did an excellent job, and cleaned up after themselves when they were finished. Subsequently, as our son has now moved back to Maryland and we are getting ready to sell the house in Rochester, Scott is doing weekly lawn mowing for us and has done an excellent job for the last 2 months, including pulling some of the weeds that had grown back since the "big" job in August 2012. Highly recommend him and his crew.

I contacted Scott via email and got a reply from him the same day. He was able to give me a quote for lawn rolling and aeration. I was late in the season trying to get this done, so when Scott warned me it would take him at least 2 weeks to get to me I was not surprised. In the email I told him that I would have my lawn clear and the clean-out stand-pipe marked with orange landscaping paint. On the day that they did come, Scott and an assistant came to my house later in the afternoon so I was able to be present when they rolled the lawn. They both set right to work and were very conscious of my landscaping. I would have preferred if before they started the job that Scott would have come to the door and introduced himself and asked if there were any issues before starting the job - but that is a personal preference of mine and I can understand that I was probably one of the last jobs of an otherwise very busy day. The only complain I have was when the assistance was rolling the lawn he ran over my clean-out pipe at least 3 times. There was no damage, but I cringed when I saw it. Otherwise they did a fine job and I would use them again.

Scott was very upfront about his availability and when he would be able to give me an estimate and when he would have the work done. His estimate seemed very reasonable and the work was done when he said it would be. His crew completed the work very quickly. Overall, he did what he said he would, when he said he would at a very reasonable price---I have no complaints! I am considering using his service for the season--would like to spend more time with my daughter and less time behind a mower!!!

I requested a quote through Angie's list and Scott responded right away. I had spoken with him, he visited the house, and I had a quote within a few days. We decided to move ahead and we scheduled the work. Scott and his team showed up when expected and completed all the work in one day. They were very professional and did a great job. Bringing the brush to the front of the house to take away was a big job and they took a lot of care to clean up everything and not leave anything behind on the lawn or street. We were really happy with the response and all of the work that was done. We will certainly use Field of Green again for future projects.

Scott personally came out and examined our sick trees and wasn't sure what was causing their problem. He did recommend removing them rather than trying to cure their problems. Scott recommended an arborvitae variety as a replacement and he provided a quote to remove and replace the existing trees. While Scott's proposed price was quite fair and in line with other quotes we received, we did decide to go with a different contractor that provided a more comprehensive quote (including compost to integrate with the soil and mulching of the area to give the new trees a better chance of thriving). I would certainly give Scott the opportunity to bid on any other landscaping projects that may arise.

I have been using Field's of Green for a few years. They are great as long as there are no problems that require extra time. When there are?beware. In early May, they mowed and left large swaths of grass clippings in my yard. The clippings are unsightly and contribute to bare spots and to thatch build-up. When I complained about the mess that was left, I was advised to hire someone to bag the clippings. I expect people to clean up their own mess!
