Roll-o-matic had already replaced an old electric opener mechanism a year ago and did a fantastic job, and then helped us after Hurricane Sandy figure out how to work the manual override. When I backed into the garage door and damaged it severely (we thought), we were concerned that there would be a lengthy and expensive repair/replacement process involving lots of parts and hardware. It was none of those things. John came and fixed it promptly and very inexpensively. Roll-o-matic is phenomenal - prompt, professional and reasonably priced. I have and will continue to recommend them far and wide!

Now it is working fine. Absolutely no problem. Very satisfied.

We called on a Monday morning to see if we could get an estimate to service our two garage doors and openers which haven't worked in a few years. Gina called back as soon as they opened and said John would be at our house Tuesday morning between 8:30 and 9:30. He arrived on time and looked the job over. We discussed the repairs that would be necessary and some options. He said he would call with an estimate by the end of the day. We had the estimate by 6:00 PM and set up to have the work done on Thursday. On Thursday John called to say he could get to us a little bit earlier than originally scheduled and made sure that was all right with us. He arrived and went right to work. He seemed very knowledgable and efficient and before we knew it he was done. He then took the time to explain everything he had done. He had my wife and I try the different buttons and keypads so we knew everything worked the way we wanted. He had already programmed the two new remotes and explained how they worked. When we were completely satisfied John wrote up the final bill, which was actually lower than the estimate, and included the discount for mentioning we found his business through Angie's List. He explained his warranty and told us if we had any problems at all we should call him. He left the job as clean as it was when he arrived. My wife and I agreed it was one of the most pleasant experiences with a contractor we have had and are 100% satisfied. We will definitely be recommending John, Gina and Roll-O-Matic to our family and friends.

I though the work was wonderful. They installation is nice, tight, and level. It opens and closes beautifully. He did an excellent installation. The quality of the garage door itself was excellent, vinyl clad and rock solid. John Capatano was very personable, prompt, fast, and he cleaned up wonderfully. He didn't leave a trace. You wouldn't even know we had an old door there. I also feel for the quality of the door and workmanship, it definitely was worth the money I paid. I'm very satisfied, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Roll-o-matic Garage Doors to anyone I come across.

Roll-o-Matic is an excellent mom-and-pop shop specializing in garage doors. Gena, who works in the office, was responsive and helpful in answering questions. John did the work and did an excellent job; I was very impressed with his work. He put extra time in to make sure the lock that came with the door functioned correctly as well. I can't speak to price as I did not shop around, but I felt it was very fair. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

They were fabulous. They had a family crisis but they still met their deadline. They were the nicest people. My mother was also very impressed with their service. I would highly recommend Roll-O-Matic. They are consummate professionals.

I highly recommend Roll-O-Matic to anyone who needs garage door service. I got a two hour window and he came on the near side of that two hour window and not the far side. He checked out my door thoroughly, asked me a few questions, showed me the problems that existed and fixed them. I was concerned about the springs and he said my springs were fine. He didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. When he was all finished he explained everything that he did and what steps I can take as the homeowner so that my door continues to run smoothly. And if I had any questions, not to hesitate to call for advice. Wow, I didn't realize people like this existed anymore.

Called Roll-o-matic after seeing reviews on Angies. Cable and pullies on garage door had sprung (?). Called the office, had the appointment scheduled for before work. John arrived on time. fixed the problem, re-aligned the door, adusted the 2nd garage door, replaced wheels etc. The doors work better than ever. Who knew that horrid screeching was not the norm! I'm keeping their # in my address book.

Called based on Angies List reviews. Left message, and got a call back quickly. Described my problem to John, and he gave an estimate. It sounded reasonable compared to other estimates, so he came by later that day. He also called to keep me updated on when he would arrive. It was as he had thought, and the estimate was right on. He fixed the problem in about 20 minutes. Was very pleasant and professional. About 10 days later the door was not working again, so I called him back to look at it. It was actually an unrelated part that failed, a rare occurance. He did not charge me at all for the follow up fix, even though I thought he might, as he could have claimed it was unrelated to the original work. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again for any garage door opener work in the future!

Great experience, will use this company again in the future. Called for help because there was basically a breeze blowing through my garage:). They were extremely helpful on the phone and they came out for an estimate. He returned the following week, at my request, to do the work. He weatherstripped the doors. There has been a dramatic difference in the garage temperature and the exterior of the doors now looks great. He did a great job and I will call them again without hesitation should we need more work done. Very professional, very clean, very efficient.

f When my wife atttempted to leave for work in the morning, the garage door would not open. After manually opening it for her, I closed it and attempted to open it electrically. It would just make a noise, but the chain would not move. I then did some research on the Internet and learned that I probably had a stripped gear in the motor. Replacing it myself appeared to be a rather daunting exercise, so I accessed Angie's List and found Roll-O-Matic. I called and left a message on their voicemail/answering machine late in the day. They called back first thing the next morning and sent a repair person within 3 hours. The repairman was extremely knowledgeable, knew exactly what was wrong, and provided me with a number of repair options. He fixed the unit in about 30 minutes, replaced the bulb socket as well (I had complained that the light bulb always seemed to loosen), replaced the battery in the external remote opener, and lubricated the rails with White Lithium; a very thorough job! I was very pleased with the work and professionalism and would definitely call them again.

I scheduled an appointment with John for an estimate and I mentioned to his office that I would like a call 30 minutes in advance to ensure that I would be home. They did in fact call 30 minutes in advance, which I appreciated. Once I had the estimate, I decided to go forward with the job so I scheduled an appointment with their office. John showed up right on time and was a complete professional. I forgot to move a few items out of the garage and he even helped me move the items to the driveway. When John was done with the job, he was very thorough with showing me how the openers work and how the keypad works. I noticed after John left that everything we moved to the driveway was placed back in the garage! Had I realized this while he was still at my house, I would have surely thanked him. As far as I'm concerned, not many people would have taken the time to do this. He truly is a professional and I am very happy with the installation.

It is always nice to speak to a service provider who is courteous and willing to help you with a problem. Gena was knowledgeable, pleasant and most of all patient as she help me solve the problem over the phone.

Everything went great. From setting up the appointment with Gina to John completing the repairs & installation of the door opener. Originally John was to repair the springs & cables after he arrived I asked if he can install the garage door opener. As I was his last call for the day he asked if he could do the door repairs that evening & return first thing in the morning to install the opener. True to his word John showed up the next morninig to complete the installation. The door is operating great now.

Good experience from the beginning. I did have to call a couple of times to remind them of things, but got a decent price (not the lowest) and work was doen quickly and with good quality.

John was at my house 11 days before and repaired my springs, etc. (see previous report). I called him on Sunday and he came first thing Monday morning as promised. He removed all of the old hardware and replaced all in approximately an hour and five minutes. Once again, I was very impressed with his professionalism and skill. He cleaned up everything and it didn't even look like he had been there. Great job.
