I used them two summers ago. It was 2011. I used them for minor repairs outside the house. It was fine. It was a little high priced. The experience was fine for what it was and I would use their services going forward.

We setup the appointment for the estimate. Nick showed up and we walked him around to show what we wanted done. He asked for some emails of kitchen plans drew up by other kitchen planners we considered. And we never heard from him again! Amazing! Update to Pappas Bros. response: There were certainly no phone calls or messages left on any of our phones. Their business also had my email address. There was no attempt to communicate through there either. I suspect job was too big for them.

After hurricane Sandy , Nick came by and gave me an estimate for insurance purposes . I trust Nick gave him the keys to the house and he did what he does best , does honest reliable good work . He has redone the entire downstairs and under the circumstances of the hurricane could not ask for anything more from a contractor. He will always be my first and only call going forward .

I contacted Pappas Brothers shortly after the hurricane hit. Nick Pappas was super responsive. He came over to my house immediately to review the job and provide an estimate. Nick took the time to discuss the job in detail - explaining what was required and why -- as well as outlining several options to consider. Once all the approvals were set with the insurance company, Pappas scheduled the job immediately. They were in and out in one day and did a fantastic job. Overall: great communication,customer service and quality. I would definitely use them again as well as recommend to others.

They were very nice. They have very good service. Everything they bought that they needed for the job, they gave me the receipts and they showed that they were bought for the job because my name was printed on the sheet by the place they bought it from. They showed me all their expenses and what the labor charge was. They were honest. One of them had a dirty finger when they did a little bit of the recaulking of the top sink and there was a little darkness in one part of it. That is something that they probably did not even notice while doing it. They did an excellent job.

The son of the owner came in twice. It was a free quote. He was very professional. He was very, very nice but we did not end up using them. He was very attentive and very prompt. It was just that we decided to just go on with the kitchen remodeling but their price was higher. But the overall package price with the kitchen and basement remodeling was good. We just did not have the money to do everything at once. They were very responsive. I would definitely recommend them. If we want to do the basement then we will call them and have them do a quote for us.

He was very unprofessional and pushy in his tactics. He only came from 15 minutes away but he complained that he had to come 3 different times with different samples. The quality of the product he brought was also very low, so I will not use his services.

Nick was obtained from Angie's List where we had his company repair a leak in the bathroom of my daughter's house. The job was (in estimation) a fairly big job, as it required walls to be ripped out, replacement of pipes and then to recreate the space. He did the entire job (along with one of his plumbers) in a day and a half. My daughter was thrilled and I was so impressed with the results, I asked him to look at my roof. The Roof Job - When I asked Nick (the owner of The Pappas Bros.) to give me an estimate to fix the roof. He looked at the roof, and explained why I was having the leaks, and what was needed to prevent it from leaking in the future. I was impressed by his professionalism and knowledge (compared to others who had done work for me in the past). His price was reasonable, so I gave him the job. The results was impressive; and, after a serious rain last night (with no leaks) I can honestly say the roof is repaired. While others were putting tar down or performing a patch job; Nick ripped up the old rood and installed a new one.

Nick was one of three contractors asked for a bid he and another came in within hundreds of each other . Nick called back to see if we made a choice yet. He got the job because of that . When you hire Pappas you get Nick the owner on site doing work and constantly checking his guys . You also get his Dad the orginal Pappas and his 40 years experience. Always profesional and they even worked Sat and Sunday to get the job done. We left Nick and his team alone in our house without any worries We were not expecting to do the extra windows and replace rotted walls but Nick was paitent and calmed our fears. I always say a good contractor comes back even after he is paid . The one thing on our punch list was a light switch plate (Nick did not have one to match) He has called twice to come back and install it . I will have them back to do more work . I suggest if your looking for an honest , reliable , fairly priced contractor who does good work call them .

The owner is Nick. He came in and gave the estimate. He was the most knowledgeable person. He really wanted my business and followed through. I was really impressed by quality & hard work by the Tile guy. However, the plumber seemed impractical & initially did a sloppy job. Overall, they did a decent job.

Overall a great experience, no complaints what so ever. The House looks beautiful.

I made a appointment with Pappas Bros. to look at the work that needed to be done and get a price. They came the time we agreed upon, gave me a reasonable estimate and told me in detail which i liked what needed to be done and what they would do to fix the problem. They were not able to come the day we had agrreed upon to start the work, but they did call me to reschedule for the next day.They did the sealing of the possible leak areas as they had promised and also did extra corking in areas around two windows on my deck and a couple of other places. I was satisfied with the work when it was finished and it looked good. No garbage or mess was left behind. I have other things inside and outside the house that need to be done and will call on them to possibly do the work. appointmentt

All of our contact with the Pappas Brothers was with Nick Pappas who was extremelly professional, kind, and prompt in returning all phone calls, always arriving on time for our scheduled appointments. We had attempted to get estimates from several other contractors, some of whom said they were going to show up and missed the appointment all together, as well as others who failed to call back for several days. Nick was professional and took his time in explaining all aspects of the job. He was able to offer great recommendations to problems we were having in regards to the space we were working with to provide us with the best solutions. Following his work day at our home he was diligent in leaving our home clean. We are planning on doing a total remodeling of our home with in the next five years and will definitely be looking at the Pappas Brothers to help us with that job.

The experience was not positive. The contractor was rude. The wiring portion of the project was done improperly and we had hire a different electrician to correct the problem. Much of the project was left unfinished and had to be asked to finish it.

Nick Pappas seemed very knowledgeable and professional. I am waiting for the estimate and will file a report if and when he does any work for me.

very bad. the deal included replacing one piece of wood, but he brought regular wood instead of pressure treated wood even though he knew where it was going. so he took some of our roof shinges on my wife's advice and put that in between the new wood and the drywall to protect the wood from moisture. the piece of dry wall he brought was not an even piece and was not big enough, and he did not bring any extra pieces to cover as big a space as he should have. when he put compound over certain spots, he did not do so properly, so the painter the next day redid pappas' work for him for free --even though pappas demanded an extra $150 for this poorly done "work," that as far as i recall was part of the deal anyway. then although we had an agreed on price of $375, he demanded an extra $150 without providing a reasonable basis. in fact, we thought he was doing just what we asked him to do. he never said before he started that what we asked him cost more than the agreed upon price. so he just started yelling at my wife and making a scene when my wife said that we agreed to $375. he said he would put a lien on my house --although there was never even a contract signed. i called him a couple of days later and offered to give him the $375 + 1/2 of the $150 more just so that i would not have to deal with an unnecessary headache. the other contractor who was working at my house at the time said that pappas was a pain in the a**, and that he remembered him being a pain in the a** also 10 years ago on some other occasion.

We wanted to upgrade to our home before we sold it and Pappas Bros came up with some good ideas and at very competitive prices. He made our kitchen and floors look brand new and their idea to replace the garage door was a simple but very effective improvement. Overall, he managed to make our home look a lot more attractive to buyers without spending too much money. I highly recommend them for any type of home improvement work that you need done.

The company was very professional and made the whole renovation experience very comforting. After getting estimates from a few other contractors, I ultimately went with Pappas Bros Home Improvement due to their past work portfolio, a few references and their individual approach to my project. They explained in detail how they would be able to perform the work I needed and showed me a step by step contract which helped put my mind at ease. Throughout the whole process they kept in constant communication and were alway there to help for the adjustments I wanted to make. They cleaned up at the end of every workday and were considerate of my household. I would definitely use them again, very pleased with the work and attitude they bring to the table.
