Roadway Moving

Description of Work: Moved furniture and boxes to Oklahoma from Pennsylvania. The movers were on time, professional and all items arrived within four days...nothing damaged or missing! Everything promised was done, no extra fees.

Description of Work: I used Roadway for two moves. The first move was from NJ to NY. There were no problems with the move to NY however they left a couple of items on the truck which they delivered the following morning. |The second move was from NJ to SC. As per my request Roadway loaded my furniture onto the truck that would be delivering my furniture in SC . My furniture, TV etc. was packed well with blankets and bubble wrap. The movers were careful with the boxes I had packed. All of the items were numbered and inventoried by Roadway before being loaded onto the truck. The loading time went well. The only problem was that I had specified to Roadway that I needed a large mirror crated and the crate was not brought with the movers. As a result the movers had to wait approximately three hours until the crate arrived. Other than this the move went well and the delivery was prompt in SC. Roadway was expensive and their estimate was higher than the other estimates I had received. Other than the mess-up with the crate I was satisfied overall. I would recommend them and I would use them again.

Description of Work: A small local move, smooth as a finely tuned violin. Early arrival, everyone in sync, personable team leader, no surprises, neatly and cleanly executed. I highly recommend Roadway.

Description of Work: Came and packed up our 2 bedroom apartment in NYC, and moved it all over to Queens. They reassembled the main furniture, and everything went well. Would definitely use them again for a future move.

Description of Work: My experience with Roadway so far has been great -- the furniture has yet to be delivered but I don't anticipate any issues. The only issue I had was with the team lead of the crew that came to pick up the furniture. As soon as he got in the door he asked if my MIL were going to give a tip. She's 89 years old and on a fixed income. Logic should have told him that unless it was part of the contract where she was prepared to give a tip then he should not expect anything. In addition, he asked my husband if she was sure she didn't want to leave a tip. I spoke to their Customer Care manager who told me that drivers are informed NOT to ask for tips. That's the only reason I rated them a "B" for professionalism. | |Since the furniture still hasn't arrived, I can't give a recommendation with 100% certainty until the job is complete but based on my experience thus far, I'm about 90% certain I would recommend them.

Description of Work: Move from Suffern, NY, to Penfield, NY. Excellent care given to my belongings. An extra item was delivered at the destination, and it took a bit to get that returned. Internal Roadway communications didn't always seem clear or complete. Change.s to preferred phone number, etc., didn't get to those who needed it.

Description of Work: The experience for getting a quote was A+ and I felt they would have done a great job if we used them for our move. We ended up going with a different company based on price alone, I ended up getting a huge discount through family at another company that we used.

Description of Work: This was the best moving service I have ever used. They were 30 minutes late, but that was completely forgivable since it could have been a miscommunication on my end. However, the service was so good that it did not effect my rating at all. |All 3 movers were the most polite, friendly, professional, and hard-working people I have ever met in the business. |The price was unbelievably reasonable. |I will use no other moving service in the future and I have told everyone I know about this positive experience.
