Roadway Moving

My experience was very positive, The company sent 5 guys to pick up my stuff from Florida and 3 back here in Jersey. The crew was very carful and worked non-stop for several hours till my house was completely empty. I was very satisfy especially because my previous experience with moving companies are bad. This guys are very organized, from the first phone call I knew Im working with professionals, They came on time and surprisingly did not brake anything - thats really all I care about. I would defiantly used them again if needed!

The experience was very, very positive. The service was simply impeccable. Both pick-up and delivery were performed on time, in an orderly, neat, careful fashion. At pick up, all my items were carefully packed, or wrapped, and barcode labeled. At delivery, all the items were unpacked, or unwrapped, and all the packing and wrapping material was neatly taken away. Every single Roadway's employee I interfaced with was courteous and professional. All the promises made to me by Roadway's salesman, Ken Chen, during my initial telephone conversation with the company, which resulted in my choosing them, were kept. I will use them again and I highly recommend them.

They were wonderful to deal with. Everybody was very professional and competent. On the move-in in California, only two guys came to empty a huge truck into a 4-bedroom house. It took an awfully long time. It wasn't really good for us but it wasn't good for the guys working either. I had 5 guys come to pick up my stuff in New York.

Absolutely perfect. I've moved several times in the past 3 years - have had some AWFUL experiences with antiques broken and bikes STOLEN! YES! I WISH I had found Roadway a long time ago! Every aspect of their service was A+++. First, Jeff Cadwallader came to our house and estimated the costs based on looking at everything. His prices were very, very reasonable and he was extremely prompt in getting us all ready to go. Then the team that came to pick our things off, Domenic, was incredibly professional. They packed everything very well and were very nice and clearly cared about what they were charged with. They made the drop in New Jersey with no problems at all. Then, today, Romero and Marcela arrived with the truck in Florida. Other moving companies complained about the trees in the road, but Romero maneuvered the big truck just fine! And then the proceeded to remove everything - and NOTHING was broken! I know that seems like not much to ask - but given my previous experiences, we were unsure. I can tell you for certain, that I will NEVER use any other moving company again! Roadway cares, they are professional, reasonable in price and are a true blessing to people needing to trust folks to move their precious stuff.

They arrived on time I was told between 8-10 they were here at 9 am. They were professional and SPOKE ENGLISH . This was my 38th move in my life so I am no stranger to the process. I used mayflower when I moved here AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS THEY ARE THIEVES STOLE MY JEWELRY. !! Getting back to roadway they followed my directions to a tee I am very fussy about my belongings . They set up everything as I asked this was the first time in 38 moves that it was really stress free. I wouldn't use anyone else. Coming from me that's the biggest compliment I could them .

Excellent service. Price was competitive. Pickup and delivery were within the stated windows. Nothing was damaged. Communication was good. What more to say?

The move teams on both sides were punctual, professional and courteous. There is not much more we could have asked from them. The crew leaders on both sides were dynamic and had the respect of the rest of the team. A very easy group of people to work with on both sides. The teams demonstrated integrity and honesty. The only room for improvement would be more punctual and accurate contract documentation. Bottom line, this is a moving company with whom we had a great experience and we would not hesitate to recommend them.

Excellent service and super speedy too! The movers were complete professionals. The leader of the group took the time to explain the insurance and paperwork as well as go over how the move was going to be done. They also took the time to repack some of the more fragile pieces better than I could have. The only small hiccup was that they didn't get my notes on how to get to my apartment so the guys were a little confused by the local streets. I would definitely use them for my next move!

They performed a local move for me. Everything went well.

Of course it cost twice as much, but no one is good at estimating their own stuff. I should have had someone come out to look. The packers were great, I couldn't argue with the number of boxes it ended up being. We were a little over a month between being out of one place and able to get into the next. The did arrive a couple of days early which wasn't optimal, and they offered to wait, but we were able to accomodate. The guys who unloaded did a great job.

Obtaining the estimate was quick and professional, and over the phone. I gave them the list of items that we needed to move and I received an estimate on the spot. The estimate was a flat rate, regardless of any extra time that would have to be incurred for anything beyond anyone's control (traffic, waiting for the elevator, etc). The move was a short turn-around - one week later. I called mid week to adjust the list of items, and they were immediately available to adjust the estimate. Extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. As promised, the driver contacted me the day before with the hours they would be there and they arrived the next day, early. The crew that showed up was entirely professional, courteous, and respectful of our home and our property. They took great care in wrapping all the larger items, and carefully stowing all the smaller ones in large boxes. The truck was packed in a timely manner and we arrived at our destination, they were already there unloading. There was no complaining about the heat and small elevator in the building, or anything. All 3 guys were terrific! All the paperwork was in order, and the whole thing went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend Roadway Movers and they would be my first and only call the next time I need to move!

I had used them before for my move to the house and they were great, so it was only natural that I would use them again. They did not disappoint.

Roadway was amazing!! This is the second time I use them and this time they came back for free!! I had them do a small move back in January that went like clock-work. When I had trouble fitting my armoire int an existing closet I decided to call them again and let professionals handle the job. I spoke with Joseph again and he was as helpful the second time as he had been the first time. I was totally shocked when he offered to send two movers over for free!!! They worked so hard to get the armoire in at a bad angle and they finally got the job done. This is an example of customer service at its very best.

They got everything done in 3 hours. They were very efficient. I would highly recommend them. There was no problem with the move.

Roadway Worls Wide Moving went above and beyond what was expected of them to provide top notch level service to us, and actually they made the most stressing part of our long distance move a breeze. We purchased The Big Deal package offered by them through Angie's list, but not before I made my extensive research f their company, their rating, reviews and customer satisfaction. We were getting quotes by various from right and left, and we felt overwhelmed by all that. We did not know with what company to go, and all rates we were getting seemed to be high in the sky for the amount of boxes / items that we actually had to transport. We even considered U-Hall for a while hoping to get a cheaper solution, but ended up looking at even more expensive rate than some of the most expensive moving companies that contacted us. After all that messngetting in touch with Roadway Movin, getting an instant phone quote from them, buying a deal from Angie's list and scheduling the pickup was a no-brainer. We had not had our inventory list at a time of booking their services, so we had to go with a price estimate. They told us we will need to call them a couple of days before the pickup to give them the list,and that stressed me out a bit because I was afraidbI wil still not have it all ready by then. But when I called them 2 days before the scheduled pickup date and said I am still not sure how many boxes we will end up with they said it's not a problem and they will give it a count when they come to ick it up and will adjust the price based on that. I was given a courtesy call from the company office to confirm the date and time window for the pickup, and also received a call from the driver once they were on their way to our house. The pickup team was wonderful, highly professional and just a pleasure to deal with. A couple of large furniture items we had to send were safely and securely packed by them, and the entire pickup time was no more than half hour top, including the required paperwork. The final price was calculated after all the items were picked up and put up in the track, and the team supervisor had given us a discount since we had more boxes than we first estimated, but overall it did not take up much more space in a track than was designated to our items based on previous calculations. The discount we were given set off the price difference between what was first calculated and what it came to at the final count. We were given 10 days window for our items to arrive, but we also were asked what is our first desired date that we will be ready to get the delivery here in TX. We ended up receiving the delivery on that very same date we chose, that happened to be the very next day after our arrival in TX!!! We couldn't be more happy with such time efficiency. Track drivers were in touch with us the day before the delivery to give us the time window, and they were right in time when they said they will. The delivery team was also a pleasure to work with (different team, driver and a different truck than the one at the pick up). Altogether it did not take more than Hal hour for them to unload and bring everything in. They take the heavy bed and the mattress up the second floor bedroom, and it had to be assembled back. None of that had been charged separately, everything was already included in the price we paid. Payment was split in half, one half at the pickup, and the second half at the delivery. We had a couple of small items we did not know how to pack, so following the pickup the team packed all these items in their own company boxes, and did so wonderfully. Aver all, it was a wonderful experience, and we couldn't be more happy with Roadway Moving services. With no hesitation we will use them again, if needed be.

These guys operate like a well oiled machine! The move could not have gone better, I'm very impressed with the service I was given. The moving teams in CA and in NY were excellent. They treated my antique China cabinet as if it were a newborn baby! They wrapped my sofa's in so many blankets that you could not have damaged them if you tried to. They packed and unpacked all of my boxes as promised. I can't thank the movers enough for their work. The delivery arrived within the timeframe that was promised to me by the salesperson who set up my move. My biggest fear was that they were going to call me while I was at work and say the truck is outside my building which would have resulted in me running like a maniac from work to meet them. That was not the case at all. The dispatcher and the customer service reps called me quite a few times while the truck was on the road and let me know where the truck was and he kept making the delivery window shorter and shorter until it boiled down to an exact date/time. The price that the salesperson gave me was the price I paid- there were not any hidden fees (this was not the case when I have moved with other companies in the past). I highly recommend Roadway- it's a very well run organization.

The prices were reasonable and didn't change. The guys were all very respectful and pleasant to work with. They cheerfully moved my furniture around when I changed my mind about where it should go. The packing was was variable. Some of the guys packed with great care. Other boxes were packed haphazardly, and subsequently, some of my things were broken or damaged. They took great care with my large furniture, so nothing of value was damaged. I made a mistake and asked them to move my washer and dryer. My realtor informed me that the w & d were in the contract to stay with the house. I talked to them about my mistake. They delivered them back to my old house at no charge. I was very pleased by that.

The first review I wrote included ALL the details, but it is just too exhausting to write, and for fellow consumers to read. I planned this move from Ohio for a very small move from Brooklyn, NY to Albuquerque, NM. So here?s the condensed version: PROS FIRST: 1.Our belongings were delivered. It took 20 days (17 of which they vacationed in a storage area.) So far, everything appears to be in good shape. 2.The pick up crew was great! I wasn?t at the destination, so I don?t know how that crew was, but the bed and TV w/stand was assembled as promised. 3.Great communication FROM THE PICKUP/DELIVERY crews. 4.They had an estimator who made an onsite inspection of the goods to be moved before the final estimate. The final estimate was the final price paid, there were no hidden charges. CONS: 1.Made all assurances to meet special circumstances DURING THE SALES PHASE. Unfortunately, application of all those assurances were neglected when the times came. The stress of moving and being in a totally bare apartment for over two weeks while starting a new, stressful job just increased. 2.Customer service didn?t often return repeated phone calls. Save time and ask for a supervisor to solve any problems. 3.Price for the move was a little high but worth it to have special requests honored (they weren't in the end). I was given 2 discounts and 5 free wardrobe boxes but I think the increase in the packing charge (from $449.00 to over $700) pretty well covered them. 4.Restitution was made for a missed flight (see number 1), but only after many phone calls. Could have been avoided had the original plans had been followed, even after several reminders. 5.Last minute special arrangements had to be made for offloading to the unavailable recipient (again, see number 1), but only after many phone calls.Could have been avoided had the original plans been followed. You can fill in any blanks. I have planned three moves cross-country in as many years. I have reconciled to the fact that there isn?t a mover out there who doesn?t know they have complete control over the situation no matter what you may need. All you can hope for in the end is that you eventually get your stuff. Roadway World Wide Moving has a slogan on their website: "WE DELIVER WHAT OTHERS PROMISE" Well, they did deliver the goods but fell short on the promises.

We used Roadway Moving to move our apartment to VA and they did a fantastic job. All items packed and delivered with no damage. Adrian and his crew even helped put bed and furniture back together. Took great care of expensive china dishes. Friendly movers and very appreciative of the tip I gave. My husband and I are very happy. We will definitely use this company if we have to move again.

I?m very happy I chose Roadway Moving as my moving company. From start to finish they did a first class job with my move. I felt my belongings were safe with them, and on top of that they provided me with free storage time. Each and every worker put forth full effort to do their job to the fullest capacity. Thank you very much for making this experience mostly pleasant.

Reader beware THIS IS A LONG POST and I am an ANGRY customer.. As many of you know, when you move, or even plan to move, its one of the most stressful things, and part of paying a company like this is to feel confident and reassured that everything is taken care of, you feel good about them taking that one part of stress off your plate and comfortable that all will go smoothly...Roadway sales and customer service are NOT that company From the beginning of this transaction and contact with company, I received inept POOR untrained service, I specifically stated multiple times, between jury duty and work , I would only be able to see someone on the weekend, and i was transfered to someone that was going to schedule the initial walk through of my house, when i was transfered, the person said, its impossible to do that so lets schedule it for the day after, I arranged with my work schedule to come to work late so i could get this done, and even when i was scheduling this, I said, the person HAS to be here between 830- 9am you are giving me this window of time for a reason and he assured me of course of course, but OF COURSE no one showed up, at 830 or 9 or even 930...and when I called, and said, no one is there, they said, OH you were scheduled for a walk through on 7/5 THE DAY OF MY MOVE...really? so i tell this person, that makes no sense, they said of course of course its my fault, ill fix it, somoene will come tomorrow....SAME TIME...so now, i have wasted ONE morning, and will have to wait another day and take more time off work...sure things happen, but this is really inconvinient right? Next day...i wait for the person, of course once again, no one shows up, and i call the office and they go...let me transfer you to someone else (again, just passing me around to multiple people) to find out, as the person helping me said, well this guy is new and he didnt know how to use the device we gave him, then he didnt get the email on his ipad and just got it now so, hes now on his way.....anyone out there ok with this? by the way, nice job blaming "the new guy" "the device" "technology" and not your half a** shotty inconsistant, untrained staff. Then I get a call from Dan, who says to me, its not my fault, they never told me i was going there til now ( another example of now the blame going back to someone else) he says to me also, he will be there in 45 min, hes already late 30 min, and then add another 45... WHICH i want to mention, the guy on the phone who blamed DAN for everything said, hes on his way and super close and should be there shortly...LIAR SO, Dan shows up, nice enough at first, keeps telling me how its not his fault , of course, is being the sales man and saying things like, it shoudlnt be like this, we are such a great company, we are so reputable, everyone loves us, brings up the numerous amazing reviews the company has, etc etc...and then says, ill give you the packing materials for free since all this happened to you, which is about 300 dollars savings, acting as if he did this MASSIVE thing for me, and saying he will get in trouble with the owner etc..and i was thinking you should be in trouble with the owner becuase you were late, your customer service team sucks and your company employees are UNDER TRAINED or UN INFORMED .....anyways, he leaves tells me i have to a decision soon since im moving in 10 days or so, etc etc all things i know, i say, i have to figure out my budget, we discuss possibly having packers added on, i tell him , ill get in touch... about an hour and half later, i get an email with the binding quote, and then another email, in a span of a few hours, i get another call from customer service and mind you, im in jury duty, which I told DAN about.. then a little before 3p i get a text, and i responded and said im just trying to figure stuff out.., he plays nice and so on, answers a few more questions for me, and thats that, i call him and confirm that i will do this later that day, and tell him lets add the packing as well..he goes sure sure, no problem i tell him that I want to use Angies List coupon as well for $200 off moving , he goes no problem, the office knows how to handle that, just buy the coupon and they will do it. NOW, the next day, and the following day, im in jury duty and I sign the documents and send them back, I send an email to him saying waht about the packers fee...no response i call the office to ask about that, and got voice mail (during the day) so i leave a message that im worried that the contract said nothing about packers, I get a call to scheulde the movers for 8 am and say I need to know is that eought time with the packers and is that part of the whole 8 hour day...the woman says i dont konw and transfers me, says that he is waiting for me, and then i get voice mail I leave a message, and he calls back, ...OH to note, the conversation with the woman before, in that conversation I ask again about my angies list coupon and get told, yeah of course, its getting taken off, the computer is automatic and they know its there. ( this part is important for later in this review) I am now speaking to who i think is the same guy from days back (customer service) that at that time was SO apologetic and saying he will take responsibility (the only person that at that time said that) is now, not only got massive attitude, every question I ask, he is "defensive" and says things like "well i dont know who you spoke to" "well this is the first im hearing of it" I say to him, I just want to know about the packers and why its not in the contract "..and then SPECIFIALLY SAY, "I KNOW ITS 850 extra I just want to know that its going to get DONE"...he transfers me to my SALES rep..oh guess what its Dan, and the conversation starts with me going, DAN, please tell me whats going on Im confused, are packers coming or not, to which he goes well the guys says you think its PART of the 1705...i said ABSOLUTELY 100 percent NOT what i said, I said over and over again i know its extra, he wasnt hearing me, he goes, well I dont know this, and I didnt know you wanted packers and I didnt this and I dont that, and basically I lose my s***, and say, you are telling me you didnt know i wanted packers, the conversations we had, you are saying i never mentioned packers and BY the way, what about angies list coupon, why isnt it reflected on this contract, that i now have signed 2x. he goes, ok ok yes packers are coming, and then promptly just dismisses me by transfering me back to James, ...AMAZING people skills this guy SO now here I am with James, who is also annoyed with me, and has no problem showing me, and says to me YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN,...which is HYSTERICAL becuase their Inadequete service and knowledge and information is what got me to this place to begin with, how about you take your job more seriously and not tell your customer to calm down? Next, he says do you need a paper confirming insurance, I ddidnt really know, and was never asked this before so just to be safe i say, sure why not, NOW mind you, i have a binding quote, that says all this stuff is included...YET he says thats $25 more dollars, im like no im not paying extra and he decided to threaten me, after i said nevermind i dont need it, he says, well we wont show up on saturday mornig then if you need it and dont buy it, since you just told me you need it..i say..HEY i texted my landlord he will tell me so dont tell me you are not SHOWING UP...what the h*** kind of business practice is this???INSANE ... my landlord says its not requried but just get it just in case, and tells me where to make it out to, i call James back and tell him, OH not to mention after his threat he said i need to know today, to which i kept repeating you will know today, i texted my landlord, of course he wasnt listening, why would he, no one at this company does SO now, lets skip to moving day, the ONLY saving grace for this company, ANDREI and his team arrived promptly (give or take 15min) and proceeded to work their butts off, and was so nice so helpful SO incredibly polite and just overall really good group of guys, asked if they could use the bathroom, asked if there was anything particular to look out for...etc got the whole place packed in record time in my opinion...I bought them lunch becuase they worked so hard and then had them meet me at my new place Once in the new place they HUSTLED and got everything inside in a few hours... NOW comes the fun part WHEN it was time for me to pay, once again i brought up Angies list coupon becuase...when he gave me the price to pay, it was 200 more than what it shoudl be, when i said no i organized it with the office this coupon, he goes, i dont have any info on that, i say, CALL DAN or call anyone at the office, and OF COURSE he did, and not only tried to take care of it quickly but wow, just the reassurance and pleasantness was refreshing no argument no backpeddling,he really knows customer service, and apprerently this is not the first time it happened with him, and so that is why he knows how to deal with this siutation THIS company, becuase its a moving company, deservingly ALL the credit goes to Andrei and his crew and if i was just reviewing them, they get a 9 out of10 (only becuase alittle bit of the organization of stuff in side the boxes and at my house was interesting and they also wrapped some dirty dishes (odd) and also indiviudally wrapped coffee pods and snakes LOL) but overall this company needs to figure out who they are hiring as people that represent the FACE of the company at first, REALLY poor people skills , POOR knowledge of trouble shooting, incredibly crass customer service, and I cant tell you how much i hated this whole experience. Im sure ill get a horrible note from somoene at roadway...great..send it my way. I can only be honest so people after me get a better experience

The experience I had with them was awesome. It’s the best moving experience I ever had. They were super personal and super fast. Everything went fine. I will recommend them.

It took them 14 days to deliver my furniture. The customer service department had received messages from me and I asked where my furniture was and they never gave me a straight answer. They would say they would get back to me and never did, So when my furniture finally arrived there were a lot of damages and I would not reccomend this company to anyone.

Professional, courteous, packed carefully and quickly. Highly recommend.

Roadway Moving were awesome, on time, very professional & courteous, we were extremely pleased with our choice of movers down to Boynton Beach Florida. Every detail that we were told by Jeff their Relocation Consultant/On site Estimator was followed, they even gave us an re-quote when I alerted Roadway of some items from the original quote that we would not now be taking with us. The crew who came to remove all our items & furniture for shipping were beyond awesome.....came on time, very careful & respectful & very speedy, they even cleared any trash made from the shipping materials. They were a credit to their company! Roadway kept us informed when our goods actually started the journey down to Florida, with phone calls from the delivery crew on when to expect them,especially on the actual day. The delivery crew again were very professional & courteous, would not let us help, they got completely on with unloading,re-assembling our furniture & placing all items that was easy for us to manage, all we had to do the whole time was just tick off the inventory list as the numbered boxes etc. were brought into the house. Again, they like the packing & shipping crew were a credit to their company. Would we recommend or use Roadway again...you bet! The whole moving experience was effortless for us, Roadway completely had everything in hand, all our goods arrived safe & sound & we were very happy with the price which we will add was the quoted price no additional add-ons like some companies tend to do.
