Roadway Moving

Great experience. Everything went as planned. I actually used them twice for this move as I had furniture going to two addresses. I moved from a house to an apartment walk up no elevator and narrow staircase. The three man crew was professional, careful and strong! No breakage! Call them you will not be disappointed!

Roadway was absolutely fantastic! I scheduled a move with them to come to my current location (which I might add is a 6 flight walk up..4th floor an old pre war building, so you get the drift) in which I needed to move some home office equipment, furniture and boxes to a new location for my business. After this they then met me at a family members residence where I had some boxes and few furniture items that I wanted to drop off that I had been planning to give to them for some time now but never got around to doing it. So I figured since the office relocation should be simple why not tackle it all it one shot. Plus, this is something that I find myself doing every few years living here and after awhile you get sick of trying to climb up and down these stairs yourself so the assistance was well needed. That is exactly what they did. Sent an excellent crew of really nice guys who were super thorough in everything they did in making sure we get everything done within a reasonable time frame. Very pleasant to deal with. I can't thank them so much again. They will be recommended!

roadway made a very complicated move seamless, 2 floors office in the city to a Xl floor in a very tuff management buliding in the city was done amazingly smooth; from the estimate to the execution it was perfect. we also had to send 60 monitor to FL and have it there in 5 days, deliver goods to a manhatten apartment, deliver some good to austin texas a 3 full trucks to 650 third ave in the city. everything went according to the plan , everything was labeled and barcoded and we had not even one damaged items. the crew of 12 men was super professional and polite and just great to work with. by far the most organized movers i have seen.

I thought the service rep was really good. Really helpful, really friendly. I think at the end of the day everything turned out well. There was just one little thing. They over promised the date when they were going to get my boxes and then I had to really push and scream because I was in such a bind, I wasn't local, I was driving in. It took 5 hours and there was no way I'd be able to have turned it around and made the deadline for them to pick up if the guys didn't deliver the boxes. They were like 4 hours late so at least they got it in a timely. So, then they just got so backed up that they couldn't get it to me. I complained enough and I almost broke down crying because I was sick and everything. I was in a bind. I think they realized I was serious so they made it happen but I had to push for it to make it happen. At the end of the day they did follow through and it did work out.

We hired Roadway for a cross-country move in February, in large part based on the reviews on Angie's List. We were not disappointed. Everyone that we dealt with was very nice and professional. When we called for an estimate, we spoke with a gentleman who became our "go-to" person for all things move-related--every time we called with questions or to talk about scheduling, he was there to help. He was extremely patient, courteous, and responsive. We also spoke with customer service and dispatch both before and during the move, and they were very helpful and pleasant, as well. The move went pretty well. The movers came on time and worked very hard to load up our things. On the other end, our things were delivered right in the middle of our "window." Everything arrived in good condition (there were a few minor dings on a couple of things, but that's pretty unavoidable). On the delivery date, the movers arrived on time and worked very hard to get everything unloaded and unwrapped. I would definitely use them again for a major move.

I couldn't have asked for a more courteous and considerate crew than the guys from RoadWay. Each man treated my things as if they were his own, from the largest piece of furniture right down to the smallest knick-knack which was meaningful only to me. I had over 300 boxes and was amazed at how carefully everything was handled, wrapped and loaded onto the truck. It was an out-of-state move (NY to VA), so delivery was not the same day. However, delivery was with the same cheerful, polite, courteous professionalism as with the pick-up, and everything I asked them to do they did willingly. As I said, over 300 boxes and nothing broken, cracked or lost. An exemplary squad, highly recommended.

I used roadway for my small localoffice movie.they are professional company state of the art . I had one small office to move and they came on the time frame they gave me from 9-11 am. They crew of 3 member ,disassemble my all office furniture . All furniture were wrap in shrink wrap and blankets with no cost. I had some picture and they provide me with picture box. I had the boxes ready and I had some few loose item which they gave me a wardrobe box to put the item . My move was done with the time frame they quoted me over the phone for 5 hour since it was local and close by. i definitely satisfied with roadway moving service and recommend to any one by all mean.

I was really anxious about transferring my stuffs to my new apartment. I can?t imagine how much hassle it could cause me bringing all the tables, chairs and furniture, etc. Lucky for me, a friend told me about the excellent services of Roadway Moving. Indeed, I was really impressed. I have nothing but praises to all the crew, driver, and to everyone for a job well done. They really took care of my things and made my move totally trouble-free. They have notified me every step of transfer which assures me that my belongings are in good hands. Could not thank you enough for all the help in moving my things. It was overall a good experience dealing with the best. All the crew members were nice and friendly. Not to mention they?re very professional, on time and the PRICE IS RIGHT. I should have done this in my past transfers. I was more than satisfied with the services and will definitely recommend Roadway Moving to everyone. Just when I thought it was going to be a bad day, Roadway Moving saves the day, hoping i'm not going to move anytime soon LOL !!! Keep it up guys and more power!!!

Ok, cost was pricey but worth it in the end...

Starting with David the sales rep, whom is excellent and very attentive, the moving crew came on time and helped us do a ton of packing. The team was very careful and did a great job packing everything. They were a good bunch of guys who were helpful with our needs. Each came with a good amount of background experience. Delivery came when expected. A two-man team, but they did it all with no complaints. Again, very careful; put everything where we wanted it; assembled, what needed assembly; great attitude doing so. We would definitely recommend Roadway Moving.

It was so ridiculously expensive. They wanted several hundred dollars to move two pieces of furniture, two miles. Their quote was something like $700 or $800. The price was the main reason why I did not use them; it was ridiculous. He was polite but that was his rate, and I said no. He was responsive. He got back to me in a timely manner. He was professional.

They were helpful on most points. The people who showed up were on the job sight were fine. I didn't find anything really negative about them at all.

It turned up really well. It was a little bit more expensive. They did a great job and did it really well.

Our move had many parts, which were handled perfectly. We required two separate pick ups, specific boxes to be delivered locally and then the completed shipment to go to our new home, cross country, a month later on the weekend. everything was perfect; on time, courteous, well organized and very professional. I never imagined that such a complicated move could be so pleasant. i take my hat off to the ENTIRE TEAM thanks.

I took some time researching moving companies in Manhattan N.Y. where my move originated. Roadway Movers were very highly rated on several websites, so I felt confident with my choice to go with this company. Roadway exceeded my expectations, they did an excellent job from start to finish for my move from New York to Illinois. Joseph was my salesman, he was extremely detailed and thorough. He explained everything very carefully including the pricing and timing with the long distance move. The movers on the New York end were organized, energetic and took a great deal of care when moving the furniture. They went the extra mile in moving an oversized sofa out of an apartment that most movers would have had to disassemble. The furniture arrived in Illinois within 7 days even though the window was 14 days. Joseph did his very best to expedite the delivery date and definitely exceeded my expectations. The movers on the Illinois end delivered the furniture just like the movers in the front end, efficiently, carefully and expeditiously. They went over the very detailed inventory list with me and all items arrived without a hitch. I will definitely use Roadway again and highly recommend this company to anyone. The customer service from my first contact with Joseph to my last contact with the movers who delivered my furniture was outstanding! Roadway movers will go out of their way to ensure that their customer is completely satisfied and in caring hands. Roadway Movers is an outstanding choice for a moving company, their integrity and customer service is exceptional!

Everything went fine. When they putting the couch together they broke the mechanical part of the recliner.

This was my first real big move. We had bought a house smack in the middle of the holidays and we were nervous enough about moving out of our 2 bed/1bath/LR/DR/EIK from Queens to our new home in Long Island. After getting quotes from many other companies and comparing reviews on Angies List we decided to use Roadway. Well best decision ever. They literally were the best. They made the move so smooth and easy. Honestly, I was so nervous leading up to the move but they were so amazing, it was the least thing I worried about on that day. They were supposed to arrive between 9:30-10 but they showed up at 8:30 (of course, it was the coldest day of the year) and asked forgiveness for showing up early and even offered to come back at 10. We didn't mind at all and they started right away.The foreman informed us that he brought an extra 2 guys for the job because he thought the job was underquoted. Honestly, we are so glad he did. I don't thine didn't mind at all and they started right away. The Foreman and the other 5 guys were seriously so nice and courteous. Always asking permission to do anything, even to get a piece of bounty to wipe his hands. We had a lot of the apartment already packed up. So they cleared all the boxes out of the way and then started with the furniture. Within the hour, the place was almost cleared out! We had paid an additional packing fee for them to pack my kitchen and china cabinet and that took them a longer time. Actually, there was a snafu with that - it was in our contract but not theirs and they just went ahead and honored it (we did pay though). They didn't scratch any walls or the hallway and were very careful with our things. When they got to the house in LI, they quickly unloaded our stuff and rebuilt/reassembled all our furniture in the exact rooms we wanted. They even moved our dining table a few times until we got it exactly where we wanted it. The guys were absolutely fabulous. I couldn't recommend them enough. They were amazing and respectful and courteous. And best of all, they really took great care of our belongings and everything made it in one piece. Plus when I opened all the kitchen and china that they packed, it was meticulously wrapped and packed. Well worth the service and additional price. Highly recommend.

They were good. Just one problem. They gave us some boxes that belonged to someone else. They had to come back twice to recover all of the items.

Shakira is the office manager. She tackled any issues we were having and has made this a terrific experience. They were also very reasonable in their pricing. They were excellent.

They were fantastic! It went by truck and they delivered it within 2 days of the window promised. From the beginning it went great, whether it was the salesman or the office staff, who were so patient with me to the three young men they sent to pack who were polite, clean, and very very efficient. The 2 men that delivered were polite, clean, charming, efficient and nothing was broken or lost- not even a dented box! When they called me here in Florida, they were ontime to deliver. They helped me in every way possible! They were fantastic! They were so calming, patient, and unbelieveably efficient! I don't have a single complaint! I would without a doubt recommend them to friends and family.

Shavon in customer service and Avi, the office manager were very helpful with a payment problem I had. They were very professional and patient with my requests which started with my error in payment for services.

It went great! Just like last time. I tried another moving company , as per my husbands request, and I'm going to back to Roadway! These guys gained me for life !! Anytime, any day , I'll need movers , I'm going back to them forever!

The person making the assessment was punctual and courteous. You have to do a lot of research before using them because they will not disclose all of the costs and you will be surprised on the day of the move. If someone comes in to assess my belongings then there shouldn't be a need for more boxes on the day of the move. I made sure to negotiate for no surprises. The Salesperson was nice but I consistently had to follow up with him to ensure that our agreement was correctly stated in the updated contracts that he sent me. The Movers were very fast, efficient and courteous. However, they came with a manifest that was different from my contract. Materials and services that were agreed upon with the Sales person and on my contract were not included in the mover's manifest. This discrepancy halted any progress and added to the moving time. The movers also proclaimed that they couldn't find parking so I would have to pay for any tickets. I once again had to call the headquarters to address this issue. I was not paying for tickets. The company is lacking when it comes to logistics. They can quickly give you an assessment and show up to pack your things. But they can only give you a 10+ day window of when they might deliver your things. I chose Roadway, a larger, more established company with a sizable fleet, to avoid this type of ambiguity. Unfortunately, Roadway continued to give that 10+ day window even after they collected my things. This is unacceptable. They are basically holding someone's life in their truck and they can't give a more definitive time for when they are going to deliver. This makes it impossible to plan for a long distance delivery. I called several times to get better delivery date and no one was helpful. They would just keep repeating some script and saying it was up to dispatch, who was never available. It wasn't until I threatened to write a bad review were they finally able to give me a more precise delivery window. This better delivery date came on Tuesday, 4 days after they had my things in their possession. 2 of the 3 delivery days that they suggested were not eligible for me (no weekend moves) per my building rules. I told Roadway this before they picked up my things and it was written in my contract. So that left Friday, the day after Thanksgiving or the next Monday which meant it would have taken over a week for them to drive my things 11 hours. . I also included in my contract that I needed to know my move date 3 days prior to the delivery, per my building. So Friday was fine. To further appease me, the manager discounted my price a couple of hundred dollars. We confirmed on Tuesday that my things would be brought Friday. So we were good. Wednesday morning, the mover calls to say he was 6 hours away and would like to drop the things off. That is unacceptable. We confirmed Friday, not Wednesday. Additionally, I stated that I had to give the building 3 day's notice. So they would have to hold until Friday. The Friday move was punctual and on time. Once again the movers were fast, efficient and courteous. I believe I got all of the boxes and I only found two dings on my furniture. Not bad. The discount that the manager offered and promised would be on the mover's manifest was missing. So that was another call to headquarters to fix. Overall, the movers were good. The corporate employees were bordering on incompetent. This isn't an inexpensive endeavor and should be treated with much more professionalism. They also sent me a small box of chocolates after the move. That was nice. However, Roadway thought discounting and chocolates would compensate for their shortcomings in service. I wasn't looking for cheap/heavily discounted service, I was looking for quality service from a company that claims to be in the business for over 15 years.

roadway moving was such a great find! i found them on angies list and gave them a call, they customer service team was great to deal with and the estimator that came to the house (asaf sharon) was super professional and knowledgeable. the price was somewhere between avarege to expensive so this was a good thing and the company was able to work with me on a very tight schedule. after reading the reviews on angies list i felt that this company is to good... how can it be so many great moves and happy customers? so i went and check YELP and other review sites and its was the same every where! very high rating so i knew it must be real; and let me tell you guys this company is the real deal! after so many bad moving experience and horror stories i found my mover for life. i would use them again and would recommend them to anyone that is looking for a mover.

It couldn’t be done for many reasons. The company was very polite though.
