I called and booked John all within a couple of days. I was his first appointment of the day so I was expecting him @ 9 AM. He texted me at 7:30 saying he had a dead battery so he'd be arriving a little late. Not a problem at all, I am glad he contacted me so it wasn't a problem at all. John came into my home and was extremely efficient with hanging a 55 inch Sony in my living room and a 32 inch in my bedroom. The quality of work was outstanding, both TV's look great. John is very knowledgable, had a few extras for me and recommendations. John's price was very fair I thought and I'd recommend to anyone who needs a TV mounted. Great service he has there.

The Big Deal was a good deal ($200) vs. the having the store I bought the TV at do the installation. Right after purchasing the deal I got a call from John at DTV to schedule an installation date. Although I wasn't ready to schedule a date just then I found the responsiveness to be highly professional. When I was ready to schedule I emailed John and he emailed me back right away to schedule an appointment. He arrived on time, did the job quickly and cleaned up the mess. I ended up spending a bit more to buy special cables to install the TV over the fireplace. All in all, I would highly recommend this company and will certainly use them again in the future.

Lastly, I am Interior Designer who hire's contractors based on their reputation competitive bids, personal work experience and colleague recommendations. And although I was hesitant to source online for my own residence, John earned my trust and made a true believer out of me. Overall: DTV Installations was an Excellent Experience!!John was a true professional from the time of our initial call to the completion of our job!

I saw all the positive reviews for DTV Installations and in particular John, so I decided to give them a call. I called on a Saturday and spoke to John, who was very friendly and professional. He came on Monday morning for installation and arrived when he said he would. He came in with all of his tools and materials and was able to conduct a fairly straight forward mounting of my 50"plasma on the wall in my living room. The job was done quickly, neatly and professionally with proper a hidden placement of all the cords. He finished the job in less than an hour. I would recommend John with full confidence for TV mounting.

John Lysis (DTV) was excellent. From the beginning, he was very responsive. I had contacted about 5 different AV professionals sourced from friend recommendations, Angie's list (where I found DTV), yelp, etc. I spent about 2 weeks vetting out each of them multiple times to explain what was needed, understand what they could do and what they recommended and their costs. I must have spoken to John about 3 to 4 times over that period, and he was flexible in working with me about adjust his proposal as what I needed had evolved as I understood what was more appropriate. His costs ended up very competitive with the other 4, and I got a good feeling just from how responsive he was, so I went with him. He showed up on time, got to work immediately and he was at it pretty much the entire time. He worked on his own and it took about 1.5 days, which included about an hour and a half to test my old receiver which I was hoping would work but knew it probably wouldn't. When calling providers, others were indicating teams of 3 completing in 1 - 2 days. I'm not sure how complex my project was relative to most (it was not building a full home theater room, but it was not a simple mounting either), but John seemed to have a very good understanding of how to complete my project and all the associated technicalities - including a specific wiring code he told me about as he was doing it. He also knew current equipment / component options for things I didn't have like the universal remote, the outdoor speakers, a Blu ray player and the new receiver I bought. He can get anything for less than retail if you give him sufficient time (2 - 3 days) before the project begins, but best part is John does not push you to buy a bunch of new stuff which another service provider was trying and I think that other person might have been trying to make money off doing so. A few other comments. Halfway into the main project, my wife and I changed our mind about another small project of mounting and wiring a smaller LCD in another room. He was OK with that and adjusted the payment accordingly. He was very careful (we have delicate hardwood floors) and did a very clean job with the wall. Also, when certain items were needed that I didn't have, he seemed to always have them and didn't charge anything extra. My only criticism might be that I wished he had put together nicely all the remotes / manuals from the various equipment (at least new stuff) and spent a little more time educating us on the remote (though it seems somewhat straightforward). These weren't big deals, but would have been nice. Overall, excellent experience, we are very happy with the outcome after 2 weeks use and we plan to call him again the next time we need help. Will also recommend him to our friends.

I had been waiting for a while before I decided to mount my TV on the wall. John replied quickly to my emails asking for quotes and we could set up an appropriate time for him to come by and do the job. Despite a slight misunderstanding on that specific time, everything went well. The job was done neatly & quickly. Note that the price includes the mount itself (articulated arm, so the TV can be tilted) and the cables strapping. On top of this, John offered us to take measurements in the bathroom and kitchen because we thought about having him build new shelves. I will definitely get the quotes for these and in the meantime would warmly recommend him for any job involving TV/home theater installation.

What we thought would be a complicated job turned out to be painless and Jon was able to put our fears to ease. He was easy to work with, always espinded promptly to emails and phone calls, arrived on time, and made sure to leave our home clean when he was finished. We had a wire stop working after install and Jon came back promptly to fix it. Overall we were very pleased with his work and professionalism and plan on using DTV again in the future.

I TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THE BIG DEAL FOR $199 TO INSTALL A WALL MOUNTED TV. JOHN ARRIVED AS SCHEDULED. HE MADE A COUPLE OF SUGGESTIONS REGARDING BEST HEIGHT AND MOUNT TO OPTIMIZE MY VIEWING. THE MOUNT WAS PROVIDED BY JOHN AND WAS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE, I CHOSE TO HAVE THE WIRES CONCEALED BEHIND THE WALL THIS GAVE THE APPEARANCE OF A NEATER PROFESSIONAL LOOK. JOHN CLEANED UP AFTERWARDS AND I THANKED HIM FOR A JOB WELL DONE.

John worked quickly and efficiently.

Could not have had a better experience. Forget the geek squad or any other overpriced service from an electronics store. We bought the tv and an lg service contract on amazon.com for less than the stores with free shipping. John was prompt and very careful. He even held out vacuum hose up to the wall when he drilled so there was no mess. Price included cables.

It went seamless. He was professional and quick. He had all the necessary tools and got the job done. More importantly, you can trust him vs. all others that provide the same services. I did not want some "sketchy" person to do some half-a** job and DTV was definitely NOT like that. I highly recommend DTV!

John arrived on time, assessed what had to be done and went right to work. He knew exactly how to handle an installation that I wasn't sure would even be possible. For example, I was concerned that the speaker wire could not be hidden since it would have to go around the chimney. He took one look at it and said "That's not a problem, the chimney doesn't come back that far". I don't know how he knew, but he was right. The installation required drilling through plaster and concrete which made a bit of a mess. He asked to use the vacuum and cleaned everything before he left.

Service was great and can't beat the price.

I contacted John Lysy from DTV installations a week ago. I asked him for a quote to mount 2 flat screen tv's plus 1 shelf for each tv. He replied via email, that the $360 covered installation plus hiding the cables and that he would provide the cable covers (wire molding). In his email he did not mention any additional costs. In a followup email I scheduled a Saturday afternoon appointment. I emailed him Saturday morning and asked him if he could give me a ballpark time he was going to show up. He emailed me back that he would be at my condo between 4pm to 5pm. He showed up around 5:20pm. For the most part, I am happy with the work done by DTV installations. I am very happy with the mounting of the 32" tv and shelf in the bedroom. I have some issues with the mounting of the 47' tv in the basement. The mounting in the basement is clean, but the tv was probably mounted about 5 inches too high in hindsight. I can not fault DTV on that as I asked John to raise the mount. It was only after the mount was installed and the tv put on the mount, that I realized it was a little too high. I was not overly thrilled with the wire solution at the baseboards under the tv (also in the basement), but I can live with it until I find another solution. I had asked John about putting the surge protector on the shelf behind the cable box and dvd player and then running the surge protector cord down thru the wire molding to the electric outlet. He told me the surge protector cable was too big and would not fit in the molding. I probably should have told him to get a larger molding. At the end of the job, John told me the cost was $360 plus $40 for 9 feet of wire molding covers and I think an extension wire. I was almost going to say something, but I realized I was paying cash and he could have easily said it was for taxes instead and it would have worked out to the same amount. I was going to give him a $20 tip until he jacked the price up by $40. It was getting late and I did not feel like arguing over $20. But, I can see where doing something like this is going to make customers angry. I never pay cash, this is the first time in over 20 years. He did not give me a invoice or bill. I had to ask him for one. And then he hand wrote one out for me at his truck. IMO, John did a good job. But, DTV Installations needs to change it's business practices. They need to give a customer a printed or emailed invoice before they start a job. Giving a quote, asking for cash, and then changing the amount that you originally quoted is just unprofessional. If you need to tack on additional charges, ask/or tell the customer before you do the work. It is a little bit shady to do business that way. The upside is they do good work. They just need to change their business practices to match. And that should be an easy policy to implement if they wish to do so. My last criticism is that John did not totally clean up the area downstairs in the basement. I cleaned it up for the most part. I felt a little bit like the assistant instead of the customer. I am just a nice guy and helped him out, moving boxes and cleaning up, and holding up the tv in the bedroom you he could mount the tv. But, you can't expect your customers to do that.

DTV installation did a great job in wall mounting my TV, subwoofer and sound bar. John is a professional who is very responsive to email and phone. Have your requirements clear before calling and John will take care of the rest.

Satisfied for the services performed, would recommend and use again. Very responsive and flexibility with scheduling.

I responded to John's special pricing advertisement to hang 2 HDTV's on my walls. John called me a day or two after I submitted payment and after a few false starts regarding scheduling we hit upon a mutually convenient time. John arrived, reviewed the 2 sites, asked pertinent questions (meaning he was consultative in his exploration of what my specific goals were) and then went to work. John is very professional and hardworking, as well as having excellent vision as to the most optimum placement for your price point. I was on a limited budget and so was not able to pursue his excellent recommendations for the best installations. I went for the basic installation for the most part, and he did an excellent job with that. He also outlined what he would recommend if I was interested in the premium installation...Well, guess what? I am now in the process of inviting him back to complete one premium installation as what he outlined sounds so nice that I cannot resist! The quality of his initial work and his vision for in-wall speakers, hidden components and wires, etc over the fireplace sold me on adjusting my budget and I can't wait for the finished product! John is great at what he does and you cannot go wrong with him.

Almost immediate response to my email and set up appointment for a few days later. He arrived on time and worked quickly and neatly.

John was very responsive from the start and provided a prompt estimate. He procured all of the equipment (except the TV's and apple TV, which I already purchased), confirmed the evening before and arrived early on the day of the installation. The job took most of the day and they worked non-stop. Overall, very professional, very knowledgeable, very responsive and punctual. I will use them again in the future and highly recommend.

He did a very nice job and was very professional and knowledgeable. The work was very quick and neat. We only wish we had had him do the installations in the first place.

I couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. I had emailed John with specific questions and pictures of what i wanted and asked about what hardware i had to have on hand and he was able to inform me of what to get, and more importantlynot get. Then when the guy showed up, on time, was able to not only mount the tv and hide the wires, but provided everything i needed. I could not have been more pleased with the professionalism and service I received.

From the time I ordered the tv wall mount service to the eventual installation, it was excellent. He is one of the best professionals I have ever used.Seriously, this paid for subscription to Angies list by itself -He called after I ordered the service to ask me when i wanted the tv installed - Called ahead of time to inform me he was on his way on the day of service - Came and provided great advice on how to mount the tv and even my home theater - Extremely quick and great guy. I have decided to retain his services for all things big and small around my house.

Was a hereat experience, already recommended John and his company to the girl that moved into our old apartment and she had her TV installed. Highly recommend!

He came on time, did his work very thoroughly and the cleaned up the things before he left. He ensured everything was workign to our expectations.

I called on Thursday to have a TV mounted above my fireplace. I assumed that this would be very difficult but the job was completed on Friday (the very next day). Incredible service, reasonable prices and excellent work. I will be using their services again.
