They came right away within two hours of me calling them and fixed the problem in less than two hours. Clean and neat. Very knowledgeable and I highly recommend again.

I've used this company twice now and plan to be a happy customer for life. They are professional, punctual, and get the job done - this is NOT an easy thing to find in this region. They have been very straightforward about the issues, potential issues that may arise in the future, and absolutely no up-selling or shadiness, I trusted both people who have come out. It seems that some of the less than perfect reviews may come from folks who are upset about the extensiveness of their home plumbing issues - this company does exactly what they advertise and does it well, they are not magicians and should not be expected to work miracles on old and damaged plumbing. Even got a follow-up call to make sure things were flowing smoothly. Class-act company.

I had noticed a foul smell coming from the basement and suspected the worst. I had one of my plumber friends come over and once we removed the cleanup we could see that the sewer main was cracked about 3 feet into the cleanout somewhere on the outside foundation. I called several people including one company who would not give me an estimate, only that it would be "$ 175 an hour plus parts". Ridiculous!!! After calling two or three more places I finally called minuteman. I received a quick return phone call and spoke to John. I told him exactly what was wrong and he agreed to come all the way from Rockland to take a look. He gave me a quote and within a week his crew was at my house with a backhoe digging a hole. His workers were courteous, hardworking and neat. In fact, they even saved a big bush that was directly over the main and placed it in the same spot when they were done. There were no unexpected "surcharges" or "fees" and they were done in a matter of a few hours. I am not a fan of any type of repair people, but I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone who needs a similar service or ANY service from this company. I cannot say enough. Wow! When I called in a panic that showers weren't draining, sinks backing up and filling up rapidly with water from the drain, dishwashers not draining or cleaning....they said they would come within the hour....and they did! They knew immediately what the problem was, found the source, snaked my sinks and VOILA! All the dirty water receeded, the sinks made that beautiful whirpool sucling noise as they drained...and drainined clear!no more debris. Awesome magic! They were fast, prompt, clean, efficient, and friendly. Would use them again in a heartbeat, but hope I'll never have to!

awesome company , great workers. my only complaint is that I told the gentleman, that I wanted to sign up for the yearly service. He wrote it down on the receipt to have someone call me, I am still waiting for that phone call.

My main sewer line clogs every few years. My house is on the market and I had some showings scheduled so I needed to get this fixed stat! I called a few plumbers and had no luck. All were too busy to come. So I went to Angie's List and called American Minuteman. had a horrible experience with a drain cleaning service in the past but decided to trust the very positive reviews for American Minuteman. A live person answered the phone and told me someone could be at my house between 1-3 and maybe earlier--only a few hours from when I called. The serviceman, Pat, came early at 12:30. I explained my trepidation as the last time we had this cleared the built up pressure basically caused the pipe to overflow into my basement when they removed the trap cap to clear the line. It was gross. Pat assured me that was unlikely to happen and that he would work slowly to relieve the pressure as he went. And that is exactly what he did. I watched as he worked and heard the water start to flow in the pipe, not on my floor. In short order he cleared the line with no overflows. He also did something no other serviceman has done and vacuumed the trap to really clear it. He said there was a big hunk of grease that was blocking the line. Overall, he was in and out in an hour. Pat told me his company is family owned, not a franchise and all they do is drains. He said actually plumbers are not the best people to call in a situation like ours. My only suggestion is that the tech offer to put booties on when coming into a house. His boots had seen better days. But overall I will call American Minuteman again if I need a drain cleaned.

American Minuteman sewer and drain service is great! The plumber, Rafael, was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and accomplished the work within one hour. I highly recommend this business- and will use them again in the future for the annual maintenance of tree root removal. Thanks Angie!

We called them on a Saturday morning and they showed up a bit after lunch, and were able to fix the issue in about 20 minutes. Fast, responsive and effective!

This is an amazing contractor. They came to my house at 6 pm on the saturday before Easter after another company had failed to fix the problem. They were at my house less than hour after I called them . The tech decided he needed another person to get the machine into my crawl space and they had a second person at my house in 30 minutes. They cleaned out the line and were done right away . They guys were friendly and knowledgeable. They even offered to vacuum the rug before they left. I will never use any another company for drain services

Called this morning to confirm time of arrival. Turns out that there had been a slight mix-up in their scheduling and they had me set for tomorrow, but they made the change on the spot and got someone out to me first thing this morning. So that was great customer service right there. Then Robert arrived. Very professional and knowledgeable. Performed the video inspection -- showed me the problem on the monitor, explained the cause and the likely fix. I'm not happy with the news that he delivered, because I need some major work, but it's not his fault that the sewer line is about 90 years old. No issues with their service. Would use them again.

Perfect job done well at low cost.

Called at 9am, showed up at noon. Completed the job in under an hour and price was very reasonable, plus Angie's list discount. Can't ask for better than that.

It was great. They were on time and fast. They did what they were supposed to do. They were able to fix the problem. The cost was very reasonable too.

Called our plumber on a Sunday, who did not have anyone to send out even though we have a contract with them, so our plumber gave us the name of American Minutemen. This company was great! They came out on a Sunday and arrived on time! I was told they would be at my house between 3-5, and Raphael showed up right at 3pm and fixed the problem in no time. He was professional and cleaned up any mess. I will call again if needed.

Good job. Works well. Job was difficult because of pitch of land and depth of storm drain.

Had a clogged drain in my garage causing a small flood with malodorous, dirty water. Called American Minute Men in the morning, scheduled a time in the early evening, and they ended up coming a couple of hours early. Although I had asked someone to call me about 30 min before they got to the house, no one called. Luckily, someone was home to let them in. Aside from this, I had no problems at all. I thought that the people I spoke to on the phone were very professional and friendly, service was prompt and efficient, and the cost, I believe, was reasonable. I would definitely use this company again if I have another sewer or drain problem. Got a discount for being an Angie's List member!

I received a very quick response to the problem I was having. Being a NYC Licensed Master Plumber myself I found this company to be extremely effective and knowledgable. The service tech Willy was amazing in his approach. He was friendly and customer oriented. As I did not have the machine to perform this work it was a pleasure having Willy take care of it. It was a tough stoppage but Willy presevered and finally cleared it. I would definitely use this company again and glad that Angie's list gave me this recomendation. I have been a member for some time and really never used the service. After this I will certainly being utilizing it more frequently. Thank You!

I called them around midnight (Sunday), woke the guy up and get him to arrive in 45 minutes. We pumped water out (2 inches of it), and since it was still raining/flooding, he left the pump running for the rest of the night. I used it for the next 2-3 days. For $200 - great service.

Called on Friday at 9:45am when we noticed water bubbling up in our basement. The service technician arrived, as promised, at 11:00 sharp. He was attentive, responsive, thoughtful and very neat! He (think his name was Riley) went above and beyond to locate and fix our problem. Three days later, the basement is dry as a bone and American Minuteman has a customer for life. Worth every single penny!

3rd day in our new house when a geiser of water started flowing from our washer drain, flooding our garage on the day before Thanksgiving, during a snow storm. Panicked, I pulled up the Angie's App and called the guys. In less than 2 hours, Rob was at our door. He is a true professional and saved the holiday! Service was pricey, but expected for emergent service. Now we can over indulge for the holiday and give the sewer line a "test" on Friday!

Service provided was great. The servoce technician was very friendly & knowledgable. He also provided some insight as to how to prevent further issues. Would definitely recommend & use again if needed.

The work was performed as expected. It took an extra day due to the amount of dirk excavated, but that possibility was explained upfront. They replaced the majority of old pipes and added a access point outside the home basement. They also explained that the orangeburg pipe (main culprit) did not run into the street and main access to town sewage. However they were not able to repave the driveway and we wouldn't want to until the land settled, possibly a month afterwards.
