Selective Remodeling

Don?t hire this contractor. Hired for siding job and flooded my basement and ruined a first story wood floor by hitting a heating pipe . Took three days before they pulled up the entire basement carpet which I had to demand they do as they were just going to use fans and dehumidifiers to ?fix? the problem. Wood floor still is buckled but I no longer let them in the house since my wife?s jewelry is missing after the day they were allowed access to take out the carpet while I was away with my wife having hip surgery. Since no evidence and no video nothing I can do. So a word to the wise stay away from this company and go with anybody else. I am shocked that Angi? list would allow such contractors to operate using their site to advertise. I thought this was supposed to be a reputable national app to assist people in hiring reliable contractors. At least that?s what their advertisements say. Guess that?s false also. Just as crooked as the contractors they allow to post on their site. NEVER AGAIN!!

March 25,2020 My husband and I would like to give the highest recommendation possible to Selective Sculptures in Coram. We began working with them on the advice of a friend who had them renovate her bathroom. We started out to renovate our kitchen and bathroom. The project grew to include the living room and dining room as well. They did an excellent job. From the arrival of the dumpster on the first day to the removal of the POD on the last day, they were there for us The entire project went smoothly. What few problems arose were addressed immediately and to our satisfaction. They are exceptionally well organized We received own copy of the work schedule. It was invaluable to us. We always knew what to expect and when. They kept us updated on any schedule changes that were to take place. What impressed us the most was the quality of their professional craftsmen! They were cheerful, friendly and cooperative. The men always showed up on time and completed the work in the time allotted. In addition to being friendly and communicative, they were courteous and polite. They always gave a bit extra of their time and expertise to make sure everything was perfect. They encouraged questions and were happy to explain things. They were respectful, not only to us but of our possessions and property as well. They worked hard to keep disruptions to our life style to a minimum. These men are not just skilled craftsmen with a passion for what they do, they are creative artists. They are top of the line people working for a top of the line company!!! Selective Sculptures offered not only superior management and workmanship. The materials they used were of the best quality. They used reliable and upstanding vendors. They offered an amazing amount of design options in a wide variety of price ranges. We could not be happier with our kitchen/great room and bathroom renovations with Selective Sculptures. We cannot say enough good things about the experience we had with Mike and Brian. They made the entire experience wonderful. From the design phase with Brian to the completion of the job with Mike and Joe, it was a fantastic experience. As homeownesr for 45 years, we have had our share of horror stories, so it was with great apprehension that we decided to take on another major reno. We checked on Home Advisor and chose three companies for estimates. After an innovative presentation with the knowledgeable (and engaging) Mike Patti, we awarded the job to Selective Sculptures. We could not be more pleased with their work The project began well, and that success continued to the final walk-through- every member of Mike's team from demolition to finishing, was professional and adept to the task at hand. We were kept abreast of progress,. phone calls were always returned, and any necessary changes (or the inevitable issues that crop up with a job of this size) were handled swiftly and without incident. Construction debris was kept to a minimum and clean-up was a dream. In fact, the entire experience has moved us to commission Selecctive/Sculptures for two additional jobs in the New Year... Highly recommend

I was looking to tile my backsplash and had been to five tile stores where the designer listened to what I wanted and then steered me to their vision for my kitchen. When I met Bryan, he listened, made suggestions and helped me create what I wanted for my contemporary kitchen. Patiently, he searched on line and ordered samples if they were not in store. I was able to borrow samples without a timeline so I could see my choices in different light and time of day. Then, came installation. Let me say, Herin is a master tile installer. After offering a few suggestions and some decisions, he went to work. Herin is precise, immaculate and a very nice man! Every tiny piece of tile fits seamlessly and I love the result! I highly recommend Selective Sculptures!

This company was prompt at responding, worked well with me on my specific needs, was efficient at getting the job done, honest, fast and reliable. Work was done in a specific time, and tiling was done very well. Tile guy helped select some tiles and helped in other areas. Very good experience

Representative was more interested in being my friend then doing my bathroom. Continuous flirting and comments of getting to know me even if the company didn't get job! Very scary!

We love our new master bathroom! We highly recommend Selective Sculptures. We were looking for a contractor that could handle the project from beginning to end. They were great from listening to what we wanted, coming up with design ideas, to picking out materials in their showroom. They made a process that seemed daunting at the beginning, much easier than we thought it would be. With their experience they were able to quickly make suggestions on what would or would not work in our master bathroom. For example, our previous bathroom felt very small and closed in even though it technically had a large footprint. We thought we would have to make significant, expensive floor plan changes to get a more open feel. Instead Mike came up with ideas to improve the feel and function without an expensive reconfiguration of the space. It is amazing the difference and how open the floor plan feels now, and we were also able to fit in a second sink and a storage tower. Mike and his crew were professionals throughout the process. Our master bathroom was completely gutted down to the studs and significant structural and plumbing issues were identified. They resolved the problems and kept the project on-time. Mike was very accessible throughout the entire process including days, nights and week-ends. It is clear he wants to provide the best customer service possible and will do whatever he can to make that happen. He and his crew were friendly, very professional, neat, organized, and cleaned up at the end of each day. There were many people involved in the process from day one, but Don, George and Herin really stood out. They are hard-working perfectionists with great attention to detail. All three would work each day until the job was done staying late if needed, and their work clearly shows the pride they take in doing a job well. We look forward to working with Selective Sculptures on future renovation projects.

We fired my original contractor & luckily received our deposit back after they destroyed part of our home . I than interviewed 4 other companies until Selective Sculptures walked in with all the correct answers, not empty promises. They were the only company that spent hours upon hours with us until WE got the design and fit we NEEDED and WANTED, not was easier for them . I can on and on how awesome they are, but the job is not finished yet. All I can say is that I received an Email one day containing a day-by-day schedule and low and behold they have stuck to it every day so far. They have gone above and beyond for my wife and I every step of the way!!! AAAAANNNNNDDDD.......Our sales dude....He looks just like BILLY JOEL!!!!! Added Bonus as we are die hard Billy Joel Fans!

Selective Sculptures has been the best and the most accomodating professionals I’ve had the pleasure of working with. I’m 83 yrs old and I’ve had many pros with whom I’ve worked. You won’t be sorry if you hire them.

It was time to remodel our 12ft x 15ft kitchen. We attended home shows and also had several in-home estimates. Selective Sculptures presented us with several innovative design alternatives that best suited our needs. Their designer, Dominick, met with us on several occasions to discuss what we had in mind. He listened patiently, asked questions and made suggestions. He summarized what he thought was possible and proceeded to explain how our requirements and concerns would be managed. He was confident that this would be done to our satisfaction. We visited their showroom and were impressed by the selection of materials on display as well as the available staff there to help us. We reviewed plans and design changes with Scott who presented us with digital renditions. Dominick also spent a great deal of time assisting my wife with material selection. During the construction phase the owner and project manager, Mike, was readily available and easy to reach. He visited the site often and was always on top of things. The office staff, Jan in particular, was always there to navigate through our numerous concerns. The construction staff was professional, clean and considerate of our home. Our new kitchen is perfect. Our new cabinets offer maximum storage and organized convenience. The finishing touches such as crown, floor and cabinet molding are eye-catching. Beautiful quartz counter tops redesigned to offer more surface space. New appliances are perfectly integrated into the design. The new counter height peninsula/island has surface space that acts as a table as well as additional prep space. It also has spacious storage underneath. The new wood-look tile planking floor ties the whole design together. The comments from people that knew our old kitchen are quite complimentary. “Wow! I can’t believe this is the same space. “I never would have thought such a transformation was possible”. It is an absolute pleasure to cook and spend time in our new kitchen.

When we first met with Selective Sculptures, Joe, Brian and Mike said they were going to design our dream kitchen. They far exceeded our dreams! They understood our vision, recognized our tastes and made recommendations and enhancements that improved upon our ideas. Construction-wise, they are true craftsman. They treated our home as if they were working on their own. Selective Sculptures made a project commitment with regards to schedule, duration, materials and cost, and they were true to their word. We couldn't be more excited about our finished project and more pleased with having worked with this team. We hired Selective Sculptures for a complete renovation of our kitchen and dining room and turning it into one big room. They did such a wonderful job. This was a huge transition for us and unsure of how it would turn out in the end, being such a large change. We are so happy with the results. Our kitchen is one large open room with a complete transformation of new cabinets, floors, countertops, lighting, a center island, and we couldn't be happier. We have a gorgeous kitchen now and so worth it. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing home improvement. They work well with you and create a design that will fit your needs to make it how you envision it.

A little higher priced, but well worth the money. Always on time...excellent quality...finished work in a timely manner. Very happy with my new kitchen.

My Fiancé and I were in need of a major Kitchen remodel, that being said I had very bad experience when I had my basement redone, the contractor never finished the job and within less than a year what was done started to fall apart. What made that experience even worse it was a friend who was a contractor. Ok now the happy part comes, I went on home advisor to see what I could learn. I contacted Selective Sculptures they had great reviews and testimonials. First Dominic came to my home to see what needed to be done, we discussed our budget and how long it would take to complete. The next step we met at the design studio (mind blown he met me on a Sunday) his ideas were way better than mine we showed him our taste in colors and textures and he pulled off what I can only describe as amazing. Step 2 Dominic came back to the house with Anthony the GM and an entire crew I was speechless the lead plumber, carpenter and electrician went through every aspect with us it was quite an experience to say the least all this for only an estimate. I pulled the trigger if they were scamming me they deserved to get paid they were that impressive. Step 3 Dominic came back with his design plans again I was speechless he came up this a floor plan I one didn't think of or 2 thought possible. I agreed on the spot and was told work would start in 2 weeks and be done in 5-6 weeks. Well half way through what else does one do I was so happy I added additional work tear down the drop down ceiling in living room and do all the hard woods I had no idea I even had (bonus). I would speak to Anthony almost on a daily basis ( I'm sure he didn't love that ) but he was constantly making sure I was happy with progress and had answers for my questions never a let me check on that and not get back to me, in fact twice after I had a question within a few hours he would be calling me from my home so he knew exactly what I was talking about. Step 4 there's always a step 4 the basement's unfinished bathroom again above and beyond they gutted it out and did a total redo. I get a call from Anthony nearing the end as we never discussed color vanity or sink, he says do you trust me I said yes I do and that was the last we spoke of it until its completion he took a nightmare and made it a dream. Our house is now our home I couldn't in my wildest dreams be happier more satisfied or even fulfilled with how all the work was done the professionalism from the entire crew. I am only saddened by one thing and that's the feeling I lost 2 friends in Anthony and Dominic and that's a testimony to them and their desire to customer satisfaction. My new kitchen looks beautiful and better than I expected. I love the design that they created and the work was well done. After the stories I have heard about other contractors, I was so happy when they completed the work on time. They were also very responsive to any questions I had along the way

From Dominick's design to Anthony's work crew, everyone was terrific to work with. They took down a wall and completely renovated the kitchen, and it is gorgeous, and such a pleasure to cook in and to entertain in. They stayed on budget, and they were very professional and easy to deal with.

Extremely professional, clean and non-intrusive. We completely gutted a bathroom and they were outstanding, responding immediately to any concern I had. The design team was fantastic and worked with me to stay on budget (though I overruled them and went over - totally my fault!). They overcame obstacles, like having to re-route an air duct, and ensured that any residual damage was repaired (the bathtub/shower install left marks in the hallway and they just repainted that wall). I would use them again.

They gave a schedule and was there every day. A owner or project Mgr was there to see progress. I would recommend this company for future jobs
