He was very responsive and continually kept me updated throughout the process. He gave me the best price out of 3 contractors and he kept to the estimate price as promised. I lived out of state but Dave made me feel very comfortable dealing with this large project in my absence. I flew in several times to meet them and check on status and was satisfied with everything. He is very honest, reliable, trustworthy, and professional. I would highly recommend this company for any type of home renovation or repair you need.

David and Joe were very good-natured, extremely competent, and professional. They accomplished the aforementioned tasks efficiently and quickly.

The job went great. I can't give David and Joe enough accolades for the work they did ,it wasn't an easy job. My basement was cluttered with years of stuff yet they worked around it all. They covered everything and cleaned up after each day of the job. The new ceiling looks great and the basement is now useable again(got rid of a lot of junk , more to go!). DNJ home improvement was terrific, the price was right and so was the work. David was always in touch whenever I called and had a question. Just a note , these guys are good and in demand , so if you can get them for your job , do it!!! Thanks again guys , be seeing you again for the next project. Barry

They came on time, did the job in 4-5 hours, and did everything well. They were really terrific. We needed two special bulbs for the new hood, it didn’t come with them, and Dave and Joe insisted on going to Home Depot for the bulbs. They’re great guys. When they walked out the place was clean, they shut off the lights and it felt like they were family by the time they were done.

Excellent service, reasonable price, prompt, professional, friendly, meticulous, absolutely THE best. I would highly recommend to anyone. Super job overall. I could not have asked for more.

The job was fantastic. They were timely, VERY polite, willing to be flexible around my schedule and did beautiful work. I would recommend them in a heartbeat. In fact, I'm already having them back to do other work.

Our bathroom was old, leaking, and not in good condition. We called David and he came to give us an estimate in a timely and punctual manner. He was knowledgable, professional and explained everything that needed to be done, and emailed us his estimate. The day they began work David and his partner Joe arrived on time and started work immediately. The bathroom was completely gutted with everything replaced. They had to put in completely new plumbing, new walls with insulation, new floor with cement, new cast iron bathtub, toilet, sink, new window and door with molding, new radiator, shower with handheld built in, walls and floor tiled and painted, ceiling vent fan and light leading out through roof, hi hat in shower, medicine chest, vanity light with new wiring for all of the fixtures, new electrical switches, and all accessories. The change in this room is amazing. It is just beautiful and now is the nicest room in the house. My husband and I cannot stop staring at it. David and Joe were great. They were punctual, showed up every morning on time, and if they were to be late to pick up some equipment or supplies they told me the day before, and called in the morning to update me. They are honest, professional, and have a strong work ethic. David and Joe are meticulous and precise in all their work. The tiling was done to perfection. We couldn't be more pleased with how the bathroom turned out, and have several other jobs we would like them to do in the future.

Nothing but more agravation !

The original floor tiles in my basement were beginning to crumble and I decided to cover it with laminate floor. I called DNJ Home Improvement and left a voicemail to schedule an estimate. David was quick and responsive to return my call. When he came to install the floor, he started the work immediately before his partner arrived. The job took about a day to complete a 600 Sqft area. I was pleased to see the result and happy to have it completed in a day. David and his partner was professional and courteous while onsite.

Our home was hit by Super Storm Sandy and we wound up getting 5ft of water in our basement and family room. Dave & Joe came in to our home and they took their time with us and went through what each step of our renovation would be. All questions we had (and there were many) they answered promptly. The process moved quickly and smoothly. We were completely done with renovations and enjoying our basement within 4 weeks. Dave & Joe were completely professional and I would definitely refer them to my friends and family. We enjoyed working with them so much that we plan on using them for our upcoming project this fall.

He called but did not give an estimate as he said he would and said he would call back he never did I am not going to chase him.

Dave called a day prior to our first meeting to say he was not able to do the job. He explained that the company had current jobs and would not be able to take on another. He had suggested that this might occur prior to us scheduling our first meeting.

The bathroom in the basement was in deplorable condition. They gutted it, including the walls. They put up sheet rock and painted the walls. They tiled the shower area and the floor. The baseboard heating did not work so they replaced it. They also reconfigured the baseboard heating and the sink to make the design of the bathroom better. They replaced the window in the bathroom. They also put in the new vanity and toilet bowl. The put in new shower doors. They made the shower area larger by changing the set up of the shower. They put up molding around the room and changed the two doors that lead into the bathroom. The room is totally changed and we couldn't be happier. I used to say that the bathroom looked like something you would find in the subway! Now it belongs in a decorating magazine!! My husband and I fight over who is going to use it! Now I'm not ashamed to admit that I have two bathrooms in the house and I'm not ashamed to let friends and family use it. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and with the work that DNJ Home Improvement does. This is the third project that they have performed in our house and it won't be the last. They are punctual, professional and great guys.

Based on the reviews I read, I called and left a message on May 22nd stating that I needed an estimate to repair a section of aluminum siding and I have yet to hear back .

At David's initial visit he was punctual and precise. Since I did not go with the traditional porcelain tile, I was impressed that he was knowledgeable about the tiles that I wanted installed. He measured and called me back with a price. He came in leveled the floor and did the installation. He was courteous and punctual. He came in did what had to be done and did not take payment until he saw that I was satisfied. I would definitely use his services again!

David promptly gave me an est. I felt he was alittle high in price, but he was prompt with coming out & giving me an estimate. I liked his professionalism & knowledge. He has always called or texted me back with answers to my questions & in the beginning let me tell you there were alot & he always answered me & was patient. I found David to be extremely honest on the work that needs to be done. He is also very detailed. His partner, Joe, also very detailed. They have a nice crew that did the work very nicely. If he was running late or he needed to change an appt., he always called me ahead of time to tell me. I am extremely happy with this company.

David, Joe and Enzo are very detailed and do what was promised. They don't cut corners and the quality of their work is excellent. They are good to deal with. They helped meet me to buy the materials. Although i picked out and bought the flooring etc, they did make a couple of suggestions. I literally trusted them with my house many times. It did take a bit longer than expected but given the job size and devastation of Sandy throughout Nassau county this isn't something I would hold against them. Would recommend and use them for a remodel in the future.

I had a few different contractors to gets estimates but the majority were so booked that they were able to price gauge and they wouldn't be able to start for a while which I was ok with. I had David come over in January, gave me an estimate which was reasonable but he too was booked for weeks. I had told him I understood and if someone had cancelled or he had a day here and there I was in no rush but he was a local guy, very nice and was the most honest of all the contractors that came over. He did manage to fit me in a few weeks later but because of weather it was pushed back. David or his partner did come over for 3 days to sand the walls first thing in the morning and did finish the job before the date I had told him I'd like it done by. Everything I asked to be done was done as well as a few patches I did not ask him to do. I am extremely happy with the work done and I will be using DNJ in the future.

They were great - hardworking young men. They were thorough and always returned my phone calls. They showed up when they said they would be there and if they couldn't make it they called to let me know. I would definitely use them for another job. In fact, I have already recommended them to friends.

He came to our house in order to later give us an estimate. He seemed like a nice guy who knows what he is doing. As it turned out, his company got booked for another project during the time that we wanted to him for, so we never got the estimate and never hired them.

Overall I was pleased with their work.

The cost was very fair. Overall the services went well.

Overall we are 100 percent satisfied with his work and will call him once we are ready to tackle some other home projects.
