Victor completely renovated two bathrooms for me. The work is beautiful and was done quickly. Victor is easy to work with. As I came up with new ideas throughout the project, Victor happily changed course however I wanted. He also had great ideas that really improved the outcome. He took care of permits, sub-contractors, and inspections. I would definitely work with him again.

Victor and his team did an excellent job on our bathroom remodel. His crew was very respectful, polite, and hardworking. They showed up each day on time and victor was here every day to make sure all was going well. We are very pleased with the final bathroom and highly recommend VAP Contracting!

I used VAP Contracting for a smaller job prior to this one earlier in the year. Since that went well I decided I wanted to have VAP back again to repair my concrete steps. I'm very pleased with the job they did, the steps came out beautiful. Victor and his team are total professionals. I will definitely use VAP again.

First let me say, that Victor and all his crew were incredible! From the very beginning everyone was so professional and knowledgable. He set my expectations and fulfilled his commitment to a tee! They showed up when they said they would and completed all the tasks in one day. They were courteous and professional and even looked at some other items to see what needed to be done to repair them. They answered all my questions and we discussed futures jobs I wanted to do. I was very happy with their work.

This project went very well, and we are thrilled with the results. We used VAP Contracting in the past for a smaller project, and didn't hesitate to use them again for this larger project. Victor is very professional: he is easy to reach and he always either picks up the phone or responds to messages or emails within a day. He works with a great crew of craftsmen who are punctual, honest, reliable, and who take pride in their work. This project required lots of digging, stone cutting, cement mixing, etc., but every day the work area was left as clean as possible. Victor also used a subcontractor for the stonework. This firm was also very reliable and professional - their skilled craftsmen were on-site every day during the 6-week duration of the project, carefully laying each stone in place to create beautiful staircases and patios. Victor coordinated all of the work, and both he and the subcontractor stopped by the house often to supervise the work, provide updates, and to answer any questions we had. It's always a pleasure working with Victor and VAP contracting and look forward to working with him on future projects.

Victor was very professional. He looked at the doors and provided several options to fix the problem. He then repaired the doors and we have not had any problems. This was clearly something he had seen and fixed before. I was very pleased.

Our small bathroom was dated and the shower was tiny, with a deep linen closet next to it that was hard to get into and wasted space. We wanted to lose the closet to expand the shower, but still needed some storage area. All the rose colored tile and dated brass fixtures had to go. We also needed a medicine cabinet (there was none - just a small mirror), a new vanity top, new toilet (the existing one was small and had originally been installed crooked), new floor tile, lighting, and all new brushed nickel hardware and plumbing. We chose four contractors from Angie's list near our area. We met with and got estimates from the three who got back to us. We emphasized that we have a tight budget and are willing to procure supplies and do all the demolition, trash disposal, and painting in order to keep costs down. We narrowed it down to the two contractors who impressed us the most with their experience and knowledge. Even though both estimates were reasonable (we know bathrooms can cost 20 grand), we went with VAP Contracting who offered us a much better price. After we gave them a down payment, they provided the list of supplies we would be responsible for. They scheduled work for a month later which gave us a month to find and purchase the supplies (tile, grout, fixtures, etc.) We saved even more money by painting the existing vanity, which was well-built. Victor Pascente and his crew were consistently punctual, never missing a day they said they'd be there. They offered excellent advice that saved us more money and made the bathroom even better. The tiling was expertly done, including a tiled shower bench and ceramic shelves. The molding and wainscoting they provided is high-end, with consistent use around the window, door, and floor, and coordinates beautifully with the style of our new fixtures. They even created a built-in a storage area, including a lower cabinet that incorporated the wainscoting for the door. Victor was very accessible via phone and email. They were flexible, respectful, and friendly, and cleaned up at the end of each workday. We had to polish up the spackling a bit more before we could paint, and they did have to come back to straighten the medicine cabinet a little, but considering they saved us $5000 over the next closest estimate we have NO complaints. The bathroom came out better than we imagined and we would not have been able to do this without them. We have a whole new beautiful, contemporary, and, most importantly, functional master bathroom.

After seeing positive reviews for VAP Contracting, I contacted Victor. He set up a time and date to go over the job and its requirements. Victor was very professional and knowledgeable during the meeting. I subsequently chose VAP upon receiving a fair and competitive estimate. I am very pleased with the work that Victor and his team did on a very challenging bathroom renovation. Before getting to the renovation, the room required much needed additional work including shoring up the floor and walls. Throughout the entire project, Victor was very helpful in explaining what needed to be done and the timelines involved. Throughout the project, completion updates were also provided which was very helpful. The work site was kept organized and the team cleaned up upon completion. I am very happy with the finished look of the bathroom. Overall, a great job!

Victor and crew arrived promptly and worked steadily. He was very responsive to what we required to be done and executed it well. I was surprised at how well the tile work was able to be replaced after needing to be broken. Showers and tub worked perfectly. They worked cleanly and left no mess behind besides the inevitable dust on the walls that had to remain for a couple of days until all tiles could set. The job that we thought would take 2 days took 1 day. When we discovered a day later that one of the sinks had a slow leak, Victor returned and spent considerable time trying to fix it and discovered part was defective and he installed a new one. It is now 5 months later and all work done works perfectly. We only wondered why we waited so long to simply get the work done. Victor made it easy.

I originally called Victor for a bathroom renovation estimate. While he was at our house, I showed him an area where we needed the siding replaced. He was able to give me a quote for that at the same time (other contractors refused to even quote it). Victor explained that the entire area surrounding the window would need to be replaced. He researched and found a close match to our original siding and emailed me a quote a few days later. We shelved the bathroom project for a while, but needed the siding replaced. I emailed him with a few other small areas that needed siding repair, and a request to add insulation underneath. Victor reworked the quote and was able to accommodate me. The contract was signed in January, however due to the heavy snow this winter, work was not able to be performed until April. Victor was very responsive to my email inquiries in the interim. The snow finally melted and the work was performed. They came on time, worked very quickly, and cleaned up thoroughly. The siding looks great, and he even tacked up a few other loose pieces in an adjacent area. I believe it to be a high quality job.

When I first called Victor, he was driving home from work and said he was nearby to our home, so he stopped by. After looking at our "ugly green bathroom," he sent us an estimate. On the scheduled day, he and his crew arrived on time and started demo. His crew was fabulous, they completed the demo and aside from some dust, the place was immaculate when the left! I watched him work and was so impressed at his attention to detail? with everything! They completed the job, floor tile, vanity etc. Part of the walls where some tile was removed looked fabulous after they were plastered sanded and repainted! Victor and his crew were wonderful, they helped with some tough decisions I had to make and gave us Our bathroom looks great! I know we will use him again and even discussed a few things with him before he left. If you want a professional team?VAP contracting is the one to call. We will be calling them again!

Victor gave a fair and reasonable estimate for the materials and labor. Victor and his team were punctual, completed the work on schedule and were very neat.

Victor came to give me an estimate on the job. We agreed on the price and he started it immediately. He is prompt, professional, courteous and clean. He did a beautiful job.

After calling several contractors I got a hold of victor. Once I spoke with him he came by within a day to give me an estimate. He came in with a fair price an said he could begin by end of week. He gave me a time frame an completed on time also said he would be by with crew by 8am and they were all here on time, very rare. They all worked long days and were very professional. It was very easy to work with victor who always answered the phone when I called. I will defiantly use him again in the near future. Thx victor

The process went smoothly from start to finish. Victor was very knowledgeable and detailed at his consultation visit. He spent much more time analyzing the job than other contractors we discussed the job with. I was hoping after his visit that he would beat the other estimates that were given, and he did. One of the other contenders was going to charge more for just the laundry room than Victor charged for the entire job. Victor and his workers always arrived promptly and had positive attitudes. Our requests for slight changes to the job were always welcomed, and anything we were not content with was quickly fixed. Inevitably unexpected issues arose (such as discovering rotting pipes under the sink) and Victor and his crew completed these additional projects for very reasonable prices. The tile work on the floors was top notch, and the improvements to the walls in the laundry room were better than we expected. The room is now very much "finished" and after a few design additions, is now one of my wife's favorite rooms in the house.

Our basement had concrete floors, bare ceiling beams, walls with some insulation covered with plastic, and a few spindly columns. It also contained the furnace, water heater, and so forth. Opposite there was a sliding patio door. VAP contracting worked with us to develop the concept of the space; we did not use an architect. They also were familiar with building code, and worked successfully with our local inspector and the inspection process from start to finish. As the project began, further insulation was added, then drywall. The drywall made a separate "back" room for the furnace area, which was left unfinished, but with a finished door large enough to accommodate installation of a new oil storage tank or anything else that might need doing in the future. VAP had the idea of making a hallway in one area giving access to a tiny sauna which the previous owner had built in the otherwise unfinished basement. The partial hallway added to the architectural interest of the space, again making it less like a casually finished basement. The ceiling was installed with a substantial number of down lights on a rheostat, and two electric heating elements were installed along the floor on opposite sides of the room. The spindly columns were faced with drywall and trim at the bottom, matching the trim around the base of the floors finished with Pergola composite flooring. Access to the basement was with wood steps in good condition, and we continued the look of that wood with flooring of similar wood appearance. For whatever reason, the unfinished basement had concrete ledges around most of the room, and once the drywall was installed we placed wood to run along the top of those ledges that matched the stairs and flooring. The color scheme echoed the upstairs, basically off-white with a few accent areas. The staircase was repainted the same off-white. And so now, when walking down the stairway, it becomes a kind of entrance to the finished room. I used to joke that contractors had their own clocks and schedules in a parallel universe separate and apart from mine. Not the case with VAP. When we worked out a schedule, they stuck to it in every phase. Further, the quality of the work was perfect--which gives a great sense of joy when using the room. The overall budget was less than we originally anticipated, and so the price was fair--and, no cost overruns. For the electrical work, I mentioned to VAP that I had been using an electrician for some years. VAP said they could do the electrical work or could work with our electrician. They did work with our electrician, very cooperatively. Finally, I should note that I had used VAP for some previous, less complex projects, such as exterior house painting and wood floor refinishing. Because that work was executed so well, on time, and within budget, we wanted to use them for the more complex basement project. We are glad that we did!

We are pleased with the work that VAP performed. Walls were demoed and sheetrock installed. Victor was quick to settle any questions/concerns we had and was always available over phone. Job took 2 days to complete!

Victor is the type of contractor you want in your home from a straight forward, and knowledgable view. We are in the budgeting stage but out of three quotes and consultations he was by far the most professional and knowledgable contractor. When we are ready he will be our choice to work in our home.
