Description of Work: Estimate came in much higher than anticipated and advertised on site.

Description of Work: No response to emails except one. Angies list customer service was great and was able to get the only response we had. Provider asked for info which we provided and had no further contact.

Description of Work: Paid for the "Big Deal" and contacted service provider by phone and email to schedule the work. Provider never returned calls or emails. I made several attempts without getting a response, thereby making it impossible to schedule the work.

Description of Work: The overall experience went very well.The craftsman was artistic,talented. I was given some really nifty pattern ideas for ceramic tiles.

Description of Work: I had my old bathtub in basement refinished. Dmitry was a pro. no mess no clean up,the refinished tube looked good as new. Uses modern spray gun and equipment.No over spray, just a great job

Description of Work: I bought this service from Angie's list and called the guy.He called me back and we scheduled an appointment.No show, no call.I took off from work and i have not heard from him.I gave him a call, he did not answer.later he texted me saying that he was at the Dr's office with his sick wife (understandable).I say ok, why did'nt you call? Anyways we set up another appointment for the 9th. After looking at the weather, a Nor'easter was coming our way, i called the guy back and attempted to change the appointment but he insisted.Well too much snow but he did not bother to call again and when i reached him he told me he just got electricity back however he again never bothered to call. He wanted to come late at night but i did not want anybody at 8:00 pm till may be 11 or 12 midnight while my kids are asleep (it is a 4 hour job). i gave him as many chances i could, i gave up and off course i'm going to get my money back. There is no accountability, no professionalism, i will not recommend Mitra Tiles at all.It was a waste of my time and energy.

Description of Work: A little difficult to schedule at first, but once done came on time and did an excellent job. Very serious about his art/craft, would deffinately use for a bigger job .

Description of Work: Our project is still in progress (and the figure above represents only part of the total job), but let me tell you about a young craftsman named Dmitri, who does business under the name Mitra Tiles. Here's our story: Recently, a mentally ill family member had a violent episode while visiting us and badly damaged our existing bathroom tile above the bathtub. We found Dmitry through Angie's List and told him it was something of an emergency since there is no other full bathroom in our house. Dmitry came to the rescue just as soon as he could work us in. When he began tackling the buckling wall of ceramic tile, he learned that the tiles had not been placed upon a proper underlayment when the bathroom was remodeled by the previous homeowner 25 years ago or more. (That's doubtless why we got occasional leaking into our kitchen below during the 23 years we have lived here.) Dmitry purchased the necessary materials, brought in a helper, and put the proper waterproof foundation in place. When we saw for ourselves how diligent, painstaking and skilled a worker Dmitry is, we decided to take the opportunity to replace all of the bathroom tile in our own choice of color, style and texture instead of merely having him repair the damaged wall. This is quite a big job, because all of our bathroom walls are completely tiled from top to bottom and the portion of the ceiling above the bathtub is tiled as well. Dmitry agreed to re-tile the bathtub area right away so that the tub and shower could be used freely. Very precise cutting was needed to make the pieces fit around a window, the showerhead, the bath faucets and the spout, and he accomplished all of that expertly while also working in some coordinating trim in his own unique design. He had to postpone the remainder of the job to take care of urgent needs from other customers, but I can't wait until he returns and finishes transforming our bathroom. He tells us that he can tile over our vanity's countertop to match the walls, and In the interim, we will be taking a look at available options in mosaic tile flooring, knowing that Dmitri has the artistry to execute whatever effect we decide upon. In short, we hadn't intended to get into this big a project, but we're glad we did because the finished product should be as satisfying as a complete remodel, but at a fraction of the price.
