The installation was professionally done. my gutters were in good shape. the took out the 2 supports for every 5 feet of gutter and added 4 Solid braces. I am very happy with the job.

They did a wonderful job and were very professional.

Actually when the guy came over he went through his price, this is a couple of thousand dollars and he says 'And we are on Angie's List'. I didn't even think of looking on there...maybe I did, but I didn't see them. You really can't see it because it is on the roof but I believe it came out okay. I can see some of it on my garage which is lower. The salesperson was really knowledgeable. He showed me the products. He showed me what products were out there and he showed me his product and which can be far more superior. We started at $3000 and reduced down to $2000 with tax and all included. I was satisfied with all that.

We contracted LeafFilter to install new gutters and gutter guards on our house. During his sales pitch the sales representative made a big deal of saying that LeafFilter does NOT use subcontractors, only their own employees. Fast forward to the installation date. The installers were two hours late, although they did call to let us know. When they arrived, they were NOT LeafFilter employees, they were from a construction company in Binghamton. We were already concerned because there was 4 inches of snow on the ground and you would have expected a responsible installer to cancel until it was safe to set ladders on the ground. Within 5 minutes of arriving, they had basically buried the back tires of their truck in our front lawn. One of their tires went flat and they ended up needing a tow truck to get the truck out of the yard. The ruts they left behind were 9 inches deep, 20 inches wide and over two feet long. The driver and the other installer were cursing loudly, dropping "F-bombs" left and right to the extent that one of our neighbors looked our of their front door in concern. At this point we ordered the installers off our property and called LeafFilter to complain. The LeafFilter representative continued to claim that they don't use subcontractors and that the company in Binghamton only works for LeafFilter. It took 3 minutes online to prove that was a lie, that company does a lot of their own work as they are a roofing and siding company and completely separate from LeafFilter. That night I did more research and found numerous similar complaints about LeafFilter, especially that they lie about not using subcontractors. I also found numerous complaints about their product and installers. This morning I called LeafFilter and cancelled the job completely. I definitely would warn anyone not to use this company. Epilogue: This is a week later. We had been told that the job would be financed by a 6.9% loan. Today I received a credit card taken out by LeafFilter in my name with a 28.99% interest rate and an annual fee. Needless to say I will be cancelling the card. I have not yet decided whether to file a complaint for credit fraud against LeafFilter, it will depend on what my lawyer advises when I call him on Monday.

The gutters were put up very quickly and efficiently. We are very satisfied!

Short version: Great product, terrific installer. Not the best at communication after the sale. They were nice, just not as efficient as I'd expect. At the end of the day, it all got done and we are very happy with the end result. Longer version: We met LeafFilter at a Home Show. They followed up, set up an appointment. The sales rep we expected apparently had some car issues, someone from operations came instead. At least they called and told us. We knew our gutters were good, but very clogged and in need of a thorough cleaning, and a product like this. We agreed on the price, gave a reasonable deposit and waited to schedule the work. It was in the scheduling that we had some communication issues. Perhaps in great weather this wouldn't be an issue in good weather, but we had a stretch of downpours at the time of our scheduled installation days. They were to start around 8:00AM. I wasn't sure they'd show because of the weather and I didn't get a call. At about 8:15 I called them. They were running late. I asked if they were even going to come because of the approaching storm. It took a few calls back and forth, yes there were coming. I didn't want anyone to get injured. Yes, they are insured, I just don't want anyone getting hurt, especially since it waited this long, so a week longer would be OK. Nope they were coming. And...they couldn't get much done due to the rain. The installers were great, and they tried. Where they could get to that day, my gutters were well cleaned out, they caulked seams, re-pitched where necessary, and basically did a lot of prep work, but they were soaked to the skin. We were told we'd be rescheduled, but didn't know exactly when. Again that evening, more calls back and forth, a few more "we have to pick up more product at the warehouse" and so on. I wasn't concerned they wouldn't get it done because I still owed them the bulk of the money, it just seemed like a struggle to get on the same page and I had to consider my own work schedule. So basically, the main difficulty was simply in getting all on the same page as far as when they'd be able to show and when the would complete the work. In the end, the work came out great and the product has delivered everything they promised. I waited for the first significant snowfall to write a review because we had some particularly troublesome spots with leaks and drips that led to very icy spots below on sub-freezing winter days. We pointed these areas out during the estimate and install, were assured we wouldn't have the same issues, and so far, we have not. I would recommend them again because, as I said, the workmanship and product seem to be outstanding, and hope they see the above as constructive criticism, with an eye toward improving customer facing communication.
