They always do a good job. It is a big company that is well known. I know I had some difficulty; there was some miscommunication. I know I asked for one rug to have the fringe and it came back without the fringe. So we had some back and forth on that. I find the people there are a little bit rude  I have worked with them for years and they do a good job . Their price is fair, but they are not pleasant on the phone. They could improve on their communications, definitely. It was a number of years ago so it is hard to say. If it was last week or last month Maybe the people I spoke with are not there (now). I am being honest in telling you my experience, but I don't want to color anyone's impression because it is not a recent review. It was years ago. I know they have a good reputation. I always used it on sale. Sometimes they have discounts. They were very responsive. They did things on time and there were no problems. It was no problem with delivery.

I am very impressed with Long Island Carpet Cleaners.  They were very responsive when I initially made contact.  Dorothy from the office spoke with me, explained the entire process and gave me an estimate. Once schedule, she also gave me a time window when they would arrive, and followed up to confirm.  The technicians arrived right on time.  They did a fantastic job!  Very efficient, very diligent.  They worked hard and both carpets really look great!  The price was exactly what was quoted, and then I added the additional area rug.  I am so happy with this job they did and would not hesitate to recommend them or have them come back for other work.

Joseph was the technician. He was on time, professional and accommodating. He protected the furniture remaining in the rooms. I would not hesitate to use this service again.

The big deal turned out to be horrible. From what it was quoted over the phone of $127 for 2 rooms, they came out here and they measured and I was like a couple of inches different than what it was, but the price ended up changing from $127 to over $400. Because I had to have it done at that time and couldn't wait for somebody else, I just paid it and just moved on. It was like so much more than what I would have spent with another provider that I have used in the past. I went looking for a deal and found it terrible. I paid over $400 for 2 rooms which is absolutely ridiculous. I don't care if I was 2 inches more per room or whatever to justify them spraying the deodorizer and it just didn't pay in my book. It wasn't right. They did what they said they were going to do. I was just unhappy with the price. I felt like it was a bait and switch. I would recommend them to keep the price points that they have. If you are giving two rooms then it is two rooms regardless the size of the rooms or if they want to make an adjustment to the size of the room, it should be something that you can explain very easily to your clients.

The two men arrived before schedule and were finished with the project within an hour. The results were better than I had hoped for. The person who scheduled me gave me credit for one room toward the rug. The men were congenial, and very helpful. I would certainly use them again. Also they spoke English so I was confident in our verbal exchanges.

I had to cancel my first appointment last minute -- no problemo for LICC. The crew showed up right on time for the second appointment and got to work right away. They asked the right questions. They were in and out in under an hour. I can't believe the difference, this is 189 year-old carpeting and while it doesn't look new it's at least decent.

They cleaned it and laid it down nicely. They came on time and they called to tell me know it was extra dirty so it needed soaking. I have used them in the past.

Perfect and they are just an amazing group from the receptionist on the phone to the pick up and delivery!

They were wonderful.  I was considering another carpet cleaning company, but Long Island Carpet Cleaning came in with a better price.  They were here when they said they would be here and they brought the carpets back when they said they would be back.  We will definitely continue to use this company in the future for our carpet cleaning needs. 

I've nominated this company in the past for a Page of Honor.... that was my first experience ever having my carpet cleaned, and I was that happy with them. The second time I did it, I called them, and no other company, and I was just as satisfied. Having just moved to another place outside of Manhattan, I called on them again. I wasn't that happy with some of the people who answered the phone (granted I called on a Saturday just before this girl was leaving the office), but they were satisfactory and got the job done. I wasn't in the apartment for the cleaning itself, as I assigned my father the task of overseeing the actual work. The grades I gave them this time reflect my understanding of how everything went.. punctual, fine service. However, when I returned to the apartment to run cables and continue fixing things up, I found bits of debris (not mine... such as long hair, staples, a fingernail clipping with a dab of hot pink nailpolish) in the carpet. There wasn't too much... they did a decent job, and the shampoo helped a lot. I would say I felt comfortable enough to lay down on the carpet, so I basically forgive them for not achieving "perfection", and I'm sure they took plenty of debris with them and did the best they could. I would use them again, but next time I will call other companies and shop around.

I think they do a nice job. You send the rug out to them.

Two men arrived appromately 2:25 pm, viewed the work area. Before they started, the order was called in to company, using our phone (to verify they were on site). The price was agreed and the work was started and completed in one hour and forty-five minutes.

I was given the price per sq. foot for steam cleaning over the phone and it seemed reasonable. The cleaners came within the time frame promised (even earlier, but they called ahead to see if that was o.k.). They did a good job and got out all the stains on my beige rugs. The rugs definitely looked better when they were finished. I did, however, notice a real overall difference from when I had my rugs deep cleansed last year (with a different company). The workers said deep cleansing costs about twice as much as steam cleaning (and smells better in my opinion), but I think it's worth it to get that extra layer of cleanliness, especially if the rugs are light colored. The price for the steam cleaning was a little more than I thought it would be (did they charge for areas like under the bed and under a large wardrobe, which couldn't be reached?). Still, overall they did a good job and I would use them again.

David did an outstanding job, was pleasant, prompt and very efficient. Rugs and upholstery look very clean and revived.

They were very clear and adept at scheduling times that worked for me. They were able to give me an estimate over the phone which proved to be accurate and were generally courteous. The rugs looked great when they returned them.

They were fantastic. They came exactly when they said they would. They checked out the house and gave us an estimate which was fine. They also cleaned up after themselves. They put everything back where it belonged and everything was great. I was amazed at how well they did the job. They cleaned a rocking chair, an automated chair, and also our dining room chairs. They also cleaned three rugs; two low piles and one shag.

LI Carpet Cleaners did an excellent job. I am the owner of a Concierge company in Brooklyn, NY and I use Angie's List extensively and have never been disappointed! I initially contacted them on Tues 10/27/09 to gather pricing info and possible appointment dates. I spoke with various representatives who were extremely professional, courteous and knowledgeable. I also asked them to provide a copy of their certificate of insurance, which I received via fax the next day. Once I spoke with my client about the pricing, the next day I received a call from Abe (upper mgmt) who explained exactly how the workers would proceed, how would clean, what products they will use and the approx time it may take. So on Wed 10/28/09, Abe confirmed an appoitnment for Friday 10/30/09 and on Thursday I received an email confirmation for the workers to arrived on Friday b/w 11am and 12pm. On Friday, three workers arrived at 11am prompt...two cleaners and one guy that took measurements of everything to be cleaned and provided pricing. Bill, Pedro and Sean were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. This was great, since I was able to confirm the pricing with my client prior to the workers starting. Once pricing was confirmed, one worker dilligently began cleaning and waxing the wooden flooring areas while the other one cleaned the wall-to-wall carpeting and carpet-covered stairs. The workers took approximately 3 hours to set up and clean and according to my client, "It looks like they did an excellent job". I will definitely use LI Cleaners for my clients again!

They seem to do a very good job although their customer service is not fabulous in terms of calling up and getting information. They were recommended to me by some departmental stores. The carpets come back very clean and they will work on spots and stains if you tell them. They are very erratic as far as their customer service goes and sometimes they have been nasty as well. I would continue to use them.
