Precision Painting Plus of Long Island

In a word it went "Awesome".The project manager, Eddy and his crew showed up at 8:00 am right on time. They introduced themselves which consisted of Alex and I can't pronounce the name of the other gentlemen. They proceeded to lay drop cloths and cover my furniture and then commenced the prep work. Nail pops were fixed where they were protruding, cracks were filled and painting began. The team was clean, professional and very thorough. There goal was to make sure I was happy with there work and let me tell you. It came out great. At the end of the job they cleaned up and put my furniture back in place. Would I use them again,"absolutely".

On May 23rd, I paid for this service (two painters for 8 hours). On May 25th, I received an email asking for my phone number for scheduling purposes, and I gave it immediately. Nothing happened for a week. At some point, I called and left a message for them to please call me back (don't remember exactly when). On June 6th, i left the following message online (through their account on Angieslist): "Ok I gave my phone number. When is anyone going to call me to set something up? You've had my money for TWO WEEKS." Nothing happened. On June 8th, in the evening, I called and left a message detailing this history, and asking for someone to call me first thing "tomorrow" morning--which would have been 9:00am this morning. The person I talked to was very professional sounding and apologetic, and said he'd get the message to the appropriate person. It's now June 9th. By 9:40am no one had called. I finally had to call. Got through to them. Had kind of an anemic conversation--the person I spoke to was only a little nicer than matter-of-fact. A vague apology at the beginning of the conversation. When I described the job (3 bathrooms, one of which involved putting in a towel rack), he was uncertain about the towel rack. Also, (and I don't blame him for this--it's his job), he went on at some length about the risk involved if the wallpaper hadn't been installed properly, what would have to be done. I scheduled a date for the world to be done. Then I got off the phone, and realized I just didn't want to deal with this particular company. They're probably fine at what they do, and this situation may just have been one of those mercury retrograde things. But I don't like the feeling of how hard I had to work to get through to them. So I cancelled, and got my money back from Angieslist. Gave these guys a D instead of an F because no one was impolite or abusive (at all). And the people answering the "scheduling" line are super. But really, folks. If I've already paid my money, I shouldn't have to move mountains to get you to call me back.

I had originally let Precision Painting know we wouldn't need their services immediately because we were in the process of purchasing a new home and would use the deal then (in January). Once we attempted to start communication (March-ish), customer service was always good, but trying to get in touch with Jason was nearly impossible. Eventually, we got Jason in to look at the job as he wanted to see what could be done in 8 hrs. All we asked for was to paint the downstairs ceilings (of a 3 br, 1.5 bath townhouse) and a few bedrooms if time allowed. We were told only the ceilings could be done. Due to his busy schedule, we were put on a "if it rains" we'll come do your job since we were small and an interior job. It didn't rain for nearly two weeks. Jason texted my husband (or called...not sure) to let him know he would contact him the next day or so to set up an official day to come in due to no rain. Not only has Jason never called us in over a week, it has rained twice with no communication from Jason to come in. I tried to email them through Angie's list (which worked the first time no one was replying to our phone calls) on June 1st, but no one has replied via email or phone. Unless you have a long time to wait and the patience to deal with it, don't bother using this company.

After some minor setbacks in communication, the job was finished to my satisfaction

Everything about this paint job was terrific. First, they arrived everyday as promised, worked diligently all day and finished on time -- no running off to other jobs or arriving late. The paint arrived on time and everything was ready to go when the crew arrived. The man who was my rep from Precision Painting was on site several times a day. The crew lead was very accommodating and was respected by his crew. Clean up every night was terrific. Plants were well protected. Very well organized, efficient, professional, and the house looks great.

They were a no-show for two scheduled estimates. Not a phone call or an email. The person I talked to on the phone said that the first appointment was mysteriously cancelled. He sounded like it was his first day on the job. I never called back to find out why they stood me up the second time. Totally unprofessional and unreliable.

Precision Painting Plus of Long Island did a great job. It took the staff about three days to complete the job. They were very respectful and they left the area clean.

They were on time. They stuck to their quote and completed all tasks that were in the quote. They were very polite and good about cleaning up after themselves. I was very satisfied with their service.

I want to start off by saying that the entire experience was very positive. Initially I was looking to have the entire house painted,stained but after Michael saw the condition of the siding, he felt that the cedar did not needed to be treated. The paint on the trim was blistering and peeling. I appreciated his honesty. Michael emailed a precise estimate with a fair price and answered a couple of questions I had promptly via email. Alex followed up a couple of days later and scheduled the work. In all it took half of a day to power wash. One 10 hour day with a crew of four, which did all the scraping and painting, and a follow up of two hours to touch up and ensure we were happy. The crew chief, Renaldo, and his crew were excellent. If you decide to go with Precision, I would ask for Renaldo and his team. They were very courteous, hard working, and did a great job. The house was left very clean. One suggestion, I removed all of my window screens prior to the guys power washing so that dirt and grime would not get stuck behind the screens. It was a great time to do the spring window cleaning. I also removed all the little things from around the house. I think this made life a bit easier for the painters and allowed them to get right to work. I would surely give Precision Painting consideration for your next job.

Very well. I am very pleased how the house looks now and the staff was considerate and courteous. The estimator stopped by often to see how things were going. Also the job was completed in a timely manner. The estimator had given the extra cost should the skim coating be necessary after the wallpaper was taken down. It was necessary but I felt I had saved money on painting for 30 Years with the wallpaper that had been up so I had it done. The walls look perfect.

The results of all this work were nothing short of spectacular. I'm not normally given to gushing praise, but in this case, the performance of Eddie and his crew in every respect and on every day was extraordinary, and the results are beyond our greatest expectations. I could stop here, but I feel, out of respect for their skill and professionalism, I should detail some of this work. First, many of the walls and ceilings had cracks and buckles. After Eddie's crew completed the skim coating, patching, and priming, you would think that these walls and ceilings were brand new. In the next phase, Eddie and his crew painted the house. They executed this with extreme care to detail and exacting standards of professionalism. (I should add that, in my early days, I worked on a painting crew, and the work of Eddie's crew far surpassed any painting and detailing that I had ever encountered.). In the painting of the house, they were always accessible to ask and answer questions, to assure that every aspect and detail of this job achieved excellence. At the end of each day, they cleaned up and returned all to order, which was important because we were living in the house while this work was being done. After the work was done, Eddie sought us out to ask whether any detailing or fixes were required, and then within a day sent over a member of his crew to correct these very minor fixes. To top this all, Eddie and his crew completed the entire job (all these rooms, ceilings, and hallways) in less than three days. Quite amazing, remarkable ... when one considers the amount of work and the extreme quality of the execution. Also, it would be quite unfair not to mention Alex and Alan who as project managers were there for us all the time, regularly visited the site, checked in to be sure there were no issues, and facilitated and eased us through the entire process. I have never done business or conducted a transaction with more professional and involved business persons than these two. Lastly, something that we greatly appreciated, and that was Precision Painting Plus uses all the current technology, including website forms, contracts, and so forth, as part of the process. This, for us, made the business aspect of this job extremely easy and allowed us to respond to their questions and concerns readily without losing time from our very busy days. Quite frankly, after this entire experience, it's management and execution, I could not imagine using any other painting contractor than Precision Painting Plus, and probably would expect most greatly that we'd have the chance of working with Eddie and his crew once again.

Excellent job. The walls were prepped so well and the finish job is just great. I have used Precision Painters before and will continue to be a customer. I would recommend them to one and all!

Called for an estimate and got a very quick appointment with Jason. I walked Jason through everything I wanted done, he explained their process and pricing, and sent me a written estimate the same afternoon. His estimate was as expected and better than others'. He was punctual and very professional. Jason was available via cell, email and through his companies call center. I never had an issue getting a reply to any questions - and impressively within an hour or sooner. The work was done a week later. Jason thought it would take 3 days, but when they came over, he brought over extra painters and did all the work (moved furniture, taped, repaired nail pops and cracks, covered everything, removed paintings and blinds, prepared outside security doors, prepared walls and painted) in one day! Jason came with the team in the morning, helped them set up and then came back later in the day to make sure everything met expectations and to help. The team was responsive to all my requests and was polite, neat and extremely careful of all my belongings. The next day, I noticed that an area had not dried properly. I called Jason on his cell, he answered immediately and sent someone over within 30 minutes to attend to the area. I was extremely impressed and pleased with my entire experience and would recommend PPP to anyone looking for painting professionals.

Alex was our sales person and projected manager, he was amazing. I cant say enough good things about his professionalism. Other people that were at the home were rinaldo (project supervisor) and Christian (touch ups after the project) were exceptional. Alex was prompt in getting me an estimate for the work to be done and structure on how the job would go. The estimate was a bit on the high side, but not out of the scope from other estimates I had gotten. I did not hesitate in going with his services. You pay for what you get. So many times when getting estimates I will get at least 3 or 4 if not more. I find that about half of the people that come to my home, within 5 mins I want to ask them to leave. I dont, I hear them out and thanks them for their time. What I am saying is that feeling comfortable with the person doing the work and being in your home is almost as important as the work outcome itself. In my opinion. Some much is a gut feeling that you feel you trust the person and the work will be done correctly and on time. So I went with precision painting and it wasnt really a close call from the other 3 estimates I got. And I am so glad I did go with them. They were incredibly fast and efficient. Alex was extremely flexible and was able to work around my schedule as I had other work going on at the time. He gave a payment schedule and everything was clear and structured. Alex was always available to answer a question. If I left him a message he always got back to me by the end of the day. The only thing I was not thrilled about was the flooring refinishing. They subcontract that out to a guy name Rudy. I did not get a great feeling from him regarding his knowledge and attention to the detailed. He didnt even ask me what kind of sheen I would like for the flooring. I later told Alex I would like semi gloss. Also a week after the job was completed someone came to my door at 8pm saying that they think they lost a sander which is a $800 piece of equipment, he looked at my like you dont remember me? I said no, I dont think I know you and didnt let him in my home. I immediated called Alex to verify this guy was from the flooring people. Alex say that rudy did send the guy by. I told him that was unacceptable and unprofessional for them to stop by like that. Alex agreed and had a talk with them. That was the only thing I didnt like. But all in all I am referring my mother to have some work by Precision Painting and would recommend them without hesitation. kind regards, David

Matt was very attentive and helpful in arranging for everything. He and the workers showed up on time and were very courteous. They did it all in 3 days with minimal dust around the house. They cleaned and put away their equipment every day. I thought the pricing was quite reasonable.

Super job - from start to finish!! I have dealt with many, many contractors (personally and professionally) and these guys are great. I had high expectations; which were exceeded. I would use them again in a heart beat. Excellent quality, good communication, very professional and left my house cleaner then before they arrived. Oh did I mention all that and a fair price. Five Stars and highly recommended. Enough said.

Quickly made an appointment for an estimate. Once the quote was sent and I emailed back the sales rep, it took WEEKS to hear back. Only when I CC'd someone else did someone else respond. Arrived on time. Uncomfortably tried to upsell me the painting I refused during the sales consultation. Took a few hours longer than expected to finish the job. Actual work done was great but they left a MESS of plaster dust on my 2 month old daughters book shelf. Our contract stated all furniture would be covered but they definitely did not. I contacted the sales rep when the mess was found and he offered to come back that night to clean it but the fumes were so strong I had to leave with my daughter for the night. Overall I think you could get someone else to do the job that is more responsive and cleaner.

They were very accommodating and did the job when I needed them. I had one painter for 8 hours and job was completed in about 7 hrs. A manager came and checked a couple of times to see how everything was going. Very clean and thorough. I knew that I had to purchase my own paints which I did and also was told to purchase two rollers for the paint job.

If you had a 10 star rating - they'd get it. From start to finish this was one of the most professional and satisfactory experience I have enjoyed with professional contractors. Work was of outstanding quality (and not easy!!!!!!!) communication was great and they left my home cleaner than they found it is rate them A+++ and am already thinking about other jobs. Just fantastic!!!!!!!

We were very pleased with Matt's consultation and the price he quoted for our project. We decided to go with the first contractor we met with. The two estimates were very similar and we were equally impressed with both "estimators". We went with the first primarily out of loyalty, even though we would have been very happy to have had the work done by Precision Painting Plus. We would definitely recommend Matt to friends and family and would also definitely use Precision Painting Plus for future projects.

They were very good and very patient. He put so much time and energy into the job and he did not waste any time. I used them two different times. The cleanup was excellent. I had no problems with the scheduling.

Great job. Painted all interior walls of our house, replaced most of the flooring with new hardwood floors, added baseboard and crown moldings, and replaced all of the doors. Very meticulous. Removed all floor squeaks and fixed a slight incline in the floor of our master bedroom. Alex was always responsive. We could just text him and he would get back to us either right away or soon after. All of the work took about two months, which we though was pretty reasonable. They also came back for some touch-up work on the walls after we got a few dings and holes in the wall from some separate electrical and HVAC work we had done. Would recommend and would hire again.

I was extremely satisfied however I did have some issues with communication.

Reliable, punctual, and most importantly skilled painters. Worked hard bpth days to paint dining room, sitting room, living room and entranceway. Was amazed by the job and would recommend this comoany to anyone looking for painting their house. -Jeff
