Brian was responsive, timely and professional. Thorough in his work. Time estimate was accurate, and they actually finished a bit early.

Brian contacted me in a timely manner, was very upfront about the service and cost for repairs. Called just before his appointed time to let me know he would be a little late and was here very shortly after that call. Came in and did a great job. Everything went well. I selected Affordable Solutions by Brian based on the reviews posted on Angie's List and I am so glad I did. I initially contacted Brian to estimate repairs to my basement and screened porch. But, by the end of our first meeting, we worked our way through my entire to-do list. Upon receipt of my estimate, Brian responded quickly to any questions. Because I felt confident that I had chosen the right professional contractor, I opted to accept the entire estimate. His team, Jeremy, Kevin and Jason arrived early each day prepared to start work on time. They were polite, efficient, thorough, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Brian and I discussed each day's progress and addressed any concerns along the way. Brian's goal is your satisfaction and I am happy with the end result. Look no further, choose Brian and his team, you will not be disappointed.

First of all, these dudes are never on time (wink). Brian, told me he'd meet me at 8am for an initial estimate. He was there at 7:50. After the scope of work was defined, I was put on the schedule for the week of 6/27. He then texted me and told me he could fit me in 0n 6/1 (4 weeks earlier than he thought he could). On the day work started, it was supposed to start at 8am, Kevin, Jeremy and Jason were there at 7:45am. Again, never on time :) As for the scope of the work, Brian really took the time to give me options for my budget. He was extremely knowledgeable, approachable and very easy to work with. The price was fair and he'll show you receipts. Response times were fine. I never waited more than a day and he was reliable through phone, text, and email. Just tell him what you want to do. The guys that did the work, mainly Jeremy and Jason, were excellent. They were clearly on a mission and did-not-f**k around. Those guys came to work hard and they did. I believe they've been with Brian for about 3-4 years, so these weren't just some guys sweeping up nails at BOCES last week. There were a couple elements of this job that were a pain in the butt, namely getting the original, cast iron, 700lb bathtub removed. They had to cut it in sections and it took over an hour......but they did it. Overall, the work was thorough and well done. I waited a month before writing this review to ensure everything was OK and I haven't had 1 issue so far. Even the cleanup was magnificent. The best part was when Jason stabbed himself in the knee and bled all over my driveway. I have a long list of stuff that still needs to be done and I'm not calling anyone else. I suggest you stop your search and hire this dude. THANKS BRIAN!

Prompt, efficient, courteous service and high quality work. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. I've hired Affordable Solutions by Brian twice now, and I'll almost certainly hire them again.

He was very kind, very timely, considerate, and understanding when the next day my husband drilled through the new wire he had just put in. Brian came right out and fixed it at no additional charge.

Brian's and his crew are punctual, professional, resourceful and experienced. They talked me through the process and contacted me with any issues promptly before continuing the work. I'm sure I will be calling them again for my next project.

It went just fine. He's a nice guy and does good work. He is fairly prompt. Once he got here, he was here an hour or two. He hung up pictures and plates for me. He did a fabulous job.

I contacted Brian but I didn't have him do the work. They seemed very professional and you know very knowledgeable but was a little higher on the price.

Brian and his team showed up on time and went right to work , His team of Jeremy and Kevin ,knew what was to be done and finished all task with quality work even in some of the small spaces they had to work in. After each job was completed they cleaned up each area.

My first thought was that we were now "down for the count," but Brian immediately prioritized this job and went right to work. A sump pump was permanently installed to dry out the crawl space, the exterior walls which had settled were restored to as near level as possible, the rotted supporting structure was replaced and a complete new floor was installed in this room. (It was determined that the adjacent room was intact and did not require further repair beyond leveling the subfloor framework.) I was pleasantly surprised when on Wednesday AM Brian asked me to secure the laminate flooring of my choice for the room, and by midday Thursday, New Year's Eve, we had a solid, level room with beautiful laminate flooring, move-in ready, and by the end of the day clean-up was complete and all equipment, materials and trash had been hauled away. My observation is that Brian and the people he has working for him are competent, knowledgeable and responsible, and Brian is able to assign the right people to do the job effectively and efficiently. I have never seen anyone work harder to get the job done and satisfy the customer. (Stated cost includes cost of some materials provided by owner.)

Noticed detached cellar stairs which were a safety issue and called Affordable Solutions. Brian came the next morning, took a look at the situation and immediately reattached the steps. He said the steps would be okay, but recommended that they be replaced and that he would send me an estimate if I would like. I was very pleased with his timely response and taking care of the problem immediately. He was very pleasant and helpful.

He followed up with a detailed, clearly written estimate of the work needed and quoted a very reasonable price. On the day scheduled for the work to begin, he and his crew came promptly and, in two days, tore out our old deck, removed the rotten patio door, hauled away the old lumber, completed the new back steps and installed the new sliding door by the end of the second day. They did a thorough clean-up of the work site, including hauling away a crumbling shed. Absolutely wonderful experience. I had been looking for someone for help with these projects and kept being told that they were too "small." I called Brian and he responded immediately. He visited the property shortly after that to assess the situation and said he was happy to help out. We brainstormed about how to accomplish what I was looking for on the screened porch. His solution was better than anything I had imagined! He and his co-worker finished the projects in a few hours. The work was impeccable. In addition, I truly appreciate that Brian was very honest about the high cost of plexi-glass (which I definitely wanted for safety/weight reasons), and that he looked around to get the best possible price that he could. I look forward to hiring Brian and Affordable Solutions whenever I need something done around the house!

It went great! The crew showed up on time every day they were here, and they were very accommodating of our concerns about our very large dog. They worked efficiently, and did quality work beyond our expectations. The crew observed problems we had not been aware of on the first estimate, and when we asked to have this work included, extending the job, they stayed at it until everything was done. The final products, both interior and exterior, look great, and we are happy to have this work done before another winter sets in.

They did an outstanding job! The job didn't always go as planned because they came across problems with the work that was done previously. In addition, we had a difficult time purchasing materials from local suppliers. They were flexible, they were adaptable, they were punctual and they were professional! The bathroom looks GREAT! One thing we especially appreciated was how thorough they were in cleaning up. Every day they'd start out by laying canvas down throughout the house. At the end of the day, they'd wipe the bathroom down, vacuum up and debris and pull the canvas back up. A first rate operation! We would definitely use them again!

Job well done. Did not charge for doing work that was planned but not needed. Upgraded materials for a stronger porch.

Our first discussion was my explanation of the problem. He said " the minimum cost would be $225 plus parts plus tax". My next conversation was what would he charge to install a new $9 light sensor I purchased at True Value. He had to disconnect/remove the faulty light sensor. Then install/attach the new sensor wires to the electrical box at the bottom of a light post (4 feet below the sensor). He said "he would charge $100 dollars plus tax but only when he was in the area". I then searched Angie's List for a different electrician. The electrician I used charged $45 plus tax with prompt service! Response from Affordable Solutions by Brian on Nov 24, 2015:"Member I am sorry that you want a qualified electrician who is insured and all and expect not to pay standard service call rate. If you are looking for someone to come out uninsured to work at your home I am not the guy. I told you up front my rate. I also told you I could cut you a break if I was in the area. Instead of being happy that I was trying to help you out you want to put us down. I am sorry I can't afford to work for free". IN VIEWING HIS LICENSE INFORMATION ON ANGIE'S LIST: Trade License Information: "Not applicable, my trade does not require licensing? HE'S NOT A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN! The electrician I hired is licensed.

Everything went well. Brian kept in touch via phone and e-mail. The quality of the work was excellent: the basement and the ceiling in the kitchen look new. Brian went to six stores to find the right shingles to match our roof, and kept after the glass cutter to get the glass done right. He made sure that things moved ahead at a good pace, and was always upbeat.

Very professional. Did exactly what he said he said he would. Promptly and clean Will certainly use again .

Brian gave me an honest, accurate estimate for several small repair and improvement projects. The work started a little later than scheduled, but he was clear and proactive in communicating about the reasons for the delay. Once the work was underway, Brian and his crew were prompt, thorough, and courteous. The quality of their workmanship was very high. I'd recommend Affordable Solutions by Brian to anyone willing to pay a little bit more for a job well done.
