Installment went great. Worker came on time, pointed out a frame issue and corrected the problem. Cleaned up everything and explained how the new remote worked with the new door opener. Would recommend to friends.

Easy process. From going to their office/showroom and reviewing the choice to scheduling the installation, they were accommodating all the way through. They made sure the opener was working correctly. The installer took the time to review and educate us.

The guy was very nice. The garage door was too old to be fixed. I plan to buy a garage door from him in the future.

They did a great job. They were punctual and professional. They had a great selection.

They were fine. Got the job done, but nothing special about them.

They took endless trouble telling us how to open the garage doors and shut them over the phone. We were able to do that but they couldn't come out to help us with the remotes until Tuesday and I didn't want to wait that long. That's not their fault, and they were a great help. I would use them in a heartbeat.

I came across Ed Mojica Installation company while doing a google search for a more modern and sleek design for our garage doors. It seems that here in the NY area, there are very limited alternatives other than the typical wood, or a more "traditional" look garage door, which would not fit with the ultra modern design of our total home renovation. The most desirable offering was from a company called AMARR, who - boats a beautiful picture on their web page of their "specialty" door, showing it installed in a very nice home and clearly depicting the metal frame door, with the translucent white obscure glass panels... the EXACT DOOR THAT WE WANTED!. Neighbors down the block have this same door, and we confirmed with the sale rep when he arrived here to measure and take the order, and we reviewed the screen shot of the web page, and he confirmed, YES, we know what you want, and we DID the installation for the neighbor down the block. That sounded like the exact words I needed to hear, and, after a very careful review of the company's NYS Corporate filing, their license status with the Nassau County Dept of Consumer Affairs, the BBB rating, and of course Angie's list rating, as well as several other social media sources, I felt extremely confident that this was the company to hire. Please note- I am a general contractor, and quite familiar with the process of selecting the best vendor, and we did review offerings from 4 other garage door vendors, with Ed Mojica coming in at the 3rd HIGHEST price, BUT the best delivery schedule... so PRICE was not really the critical factor, although, at $6,000.00 I consider it important. The sales rep spent well over an hour measuring, and chatting, advising me that this is a small family owned company ( I believe he is the Father in Law of Ed Mojica?) - safe to say... warm and fuzzy feeling upon handing them my credit card to bang for the $2800.00 deposit, with a time frame of 7 weeks before the doors would be in. About a day or so later, I get a call saying that the doors that I just ordered will not "fit". No worries, said the telephone sales voice... we can get you an EXACT matching door, just form another manufacturer... Clopay. All will be 'exactly the same as you want/ordered" and may even come in sooner. My agreement was acknowledged on a slip of paper marked "INVOICE" and sent back to the office. Fast forward about 6 weeks or so later, and the installer shows up to do the job. He begins by dismantling (and destroying) the existing doors, and throwing most if not all into his truck, and the dumpster that was on the street. Then the track was installed, taking what seemed like an eternity, yet, the fact that there was only 1 older gentleman to install 2 large doors... the time frame seemed appropriate. He was fed, and watered as I would treat my own team, and constantly asked if he needed anything, or any help form my team. Several hours after the arrived, it was finally time to remove the boxed up new doors, and assemble them. Within 15 seconds, I saw, realized, and advised him: "THE GLASS ON THESE DOORS IS CLEAR, I ORDERED WHITE TRANSLUCENT GLASS!" The response.... yes you guessed it... I am SUBCONTRACTOR.. I don't work for the company, but I will call them, which he did, and I heard. Just to cover bases, I immediately told him to stop work, and I called and email the office. I was then advised by the office personnel, to let him finish the install, and DON'T WORRY, WE WILL GET YOU THE REPLACEMENT GLASS IN THE COLOR YOU ORDERED. Fast forward about 6 more weeks, of literally DAILY emails and calls to the office. It seems that they must have a policy... for every 5-6 emails, just call the customer back and tell them you will call them and speak about it tomorrow. Last week I gave them the deadline of yesterday to have an answer and ( real) resolution by Monday at 9am. The previous offer was to (hold on now) spray the decorative frosting that you use on Christmas displays on the inside of the garage doors. I told them when Santa shows up I would refer him back to Ed Mojica Installations. The last ditch effort, offered by the owner... was that I should go to lowes, and buy window film, and that they would (so kind) come and install it. With no other alternative, I contacted Mastercard, who was kind enough to file the dispute. The Mastercard rep was actually on the tel with me, and the owner when they proposed some absurd ideas as to film the glass over. I gave the owner 1 last ditch effort to MAKE IT RIGHT, FIX IT. Correct the "bait and switch" game that they were playing for almost 2 months now. He was unable to even make any offer for resolution whatsoever. At this point, I think its safe to say that I would not be recommending these guys to change a light bulb. Its sad, since I was willing and able to offer them so many referrals, yet, they acted by ignoring the problem, I suspect, in hopes that it would go away, when, in retrospect, it only made matters worse. I truly regret that they were unable, or more accurately, unwilling to correct an error that THEY made, and satisfy a customer. This is the first (and I hope only) negative feedback that have posted on Angies, and quite honestly, I very much hope that the owner reads and digests this, and perhaps will change the business style going forward. PLEASE BE ADVISED OF THE MOST CURRENT UPDATED INFO: Its seems that the team at Ed Mojica Installations is so far removed from customer service, that they dont even know that the credit card company that they claim "agreed with THEM" has in fact reversed the charge, and, sent out an inspector, AND is assisting in our reporting to the NYS authorities. The fact that this company has allowed a situation to continue to rot and fester, speaks loudly as to their utter lack of client care. They simply messed up, ignored it in hopes that the matter would disappear, instead of standing up, and doing the right thing. We gave them months to correct the problem, and instead, they chose to create lies to cover up their error. this is a very SAD company to do business with. just read the story, and read their response. all I can say, is that if we took the time and effort to detail all these facts, would you not expect to see a response from the vendor that was something like... hey, what can we do to fix this???? instead, they hide behind a magic curtain of smoke, mirrors and lies.

Purchase went smoothly. Transaction was pleasant.

They were excellent and very professional. They came right away and installed it when they said they would. We were very pleased with them. I suppose the price was fair and we got what we needed.

originally, i asked ed mojica to inspect my springs and rollers based on a $99 deal from Angies list. after some discussion after the inspection, i asked if getting a new garage door would be better than paying the extra $50-100 for the added service because the work i needed required additional parts. ultimately, i got a new garage door which i am happy with. the worker was professional and completed the job in a timely fashion. they were not pushy or salesy at all. i appreciated that

I was on vacation in Florida and our garage door broke. I was able to get Ed on the phone and had an appointment on Dec. 31, within several hours. The service man fixed the door and was done in a few hours after I had called. This was after a vendor I had found gave me a quote for double the price. Workmanship was excellent and I would definitely use thus company again without reservation.

Awesome customer service. Awesome repair work on my garage doors. I would definitely recommend Edward Mojica Installations to all family and friends in the future. Great Job!

I originally contracted for a special that was posted on Angie's list. When the technician came,he inspected the doors and suggested further work then gave me the reasons why it should be done. I knew more work was needed so I gave him the go ahead. The work was done neatly and professionally and the end result was better than I expected. I was very pleased with the work performed and would definitely recommend them to others.

They were very efficient. They called me before they arrived at my home. Everything went very well.

The story from "start to finish" is as I stated above. A job well done but communication on details beforehand should have been much clearer. BB

Satisfied with work. All work done as the "special" itemized. Needed additional replacement cable sheaves which I thought should have been included at an additional cost if needed in the "special deal".

The technician Mark arrived at approximately 9:15 am for a 9:30 am appointment. He was very polite and professional. Mark checked the garage door then gave me a report on what he found. He stated the garage door was in very good shape. He asked when did I have the garage door opener installed. It was installed 8 years ago. I asked questions about the door's safety. He noted the door did not have any safety cables. I also asked about the life of the springs. He stated the springs were in good condition. I asked if he knew how long they would last. He said there is no way to predict how long the springs will last. There was no pressure to have work done. Price was reasonable.

Work was good and left the site clean. Price for additional work was too high.

Absolutely no issues and no undue pressure put on us to do more work than necessary.

Everything went well, the worker showed up on time-( I forgot his name) told me & showed me what he was going to do & proceeded to go to work. He did everything he told me to do plus advised me on future do it yourself maintenance. I was very pleased with the results & the garage door rolls up & down very smoothly. One thing I'd like to add is shortly after I had the work done, I have one roller that constantly comes off of the track, this was a problem I had before & when the worker was here he "fixed" it, but it is still a problem. If ever you're out my way & would stop by & take a look at it, that would be greatly appreciated.

Their work was excellent, and our garage door now operates as it should--problem free. The service was prompt, courteous, and attentive. We highly recommend them.

He seemed nice enough but he could not perform the service and recommended that I get a refund.
