Mack Of All Trades

A-1 company with scruples. In this day and age of scam artists, this company is the best. Always does quality work, very professional and a great family owns and operates it. They are hospitable, courteous and friendly. Would not hesitate to hire them for everything I need done.

The evaluator came to our house in July to give us a free estimate. He explained the process well and gave us a quote. He informed us that they could do the work in one day (with two people) but could not start the job until September due to previously contracted work. We were not in a hurry and the estimate was reasonable so we agreed to have him come to do the work. We paid in full in July. Two weeks before the original start date in September, the team informed us that our start date was pushed back due to other work. Which we were fine with. The team continued to push our job back due to other big jobs running over without telling us. The issue is that their communication was very poor. One of the days they were supposed to come, I emailed to give them our garage code, and the team emailed me later to inform me that it would be another few weeks. Again and again they pushed our job back in favor or completing the other bigger jobs and routinely did not tell us. They finally started the job the first week in October (one month after the original estimated start time). The job was apparently more difficult than the estimator (who is different from the person doing the actual work) bargained for. The job took 12 business days with good weather plus one weekend day to complete because the team could only work on our job sparingly because they had other work to complete. During the 3 weeks we became increasingly frustrated with their lack of communication as they did not once inform us of how the project was going or when they expected to return except when we emailed them to bug them about it. They did call us when the job was 95% completed to tell us, and also to collect a $100 debris removal fee that was not in our initial contract (if we wanted to pay them to remove the debris). Overall, the work was adequate and the price was average. Ben (the contractor who actually did the work) was very nice and helpful and did exactly what we asked of him. However, we would not use the company again due to their poor communication, and inefficient scheduling.

We’ve hired Mack’s on multiple projects and we highly recommend them. They trustworthy, reliable, and professional. They do high quality work and always have high standards. We’ve hired them for multiple projects, small and large. They have even remodeled our kitchen (cabinet removal, installing a new farmhouse sink, remodeled pantry header, and added new pantry doors with antique glass doorknobs) and we are looking forward to working with them again on building a wood shop space in our yard with farmhouse fencing for our dog. Mack’s can be trusted with any project, big or small, and is worth every penny!

Excellent end result. I am very pleased with price and quality of work. It took only about 4 weeks from job estimate to completing the job. Actual work went slower than expected but this was not a problem for us.

Mack of all Trades employee Matt and co-worker arrived on time with all necessary materials. They installed all 7 doors expertly in one day. My garage where they were working was swept clean and Matt even took my old doors away. Matt did an exceptional job and I absolutely LOVE my new doors and would hire Mack of all Trades again.

We called at 10 am and he came within the hour and fixed the whole problem within 90 minutes, including a trip to Lowe's for parts. This exceeded our expectations in terms of response anf of quality too. This is the 3rd time we've used Mack Of All Trades and will call them again.

Mike and his crew are outstanding. If you're looking for professionalism, punctuality, honesty, reliability and great workmanship, at a fair price, Mack of All Trades is for you. I have known Mike for more than five years and he has never let me down. He responds to my calls (especially in an emergency situation) promptly and his friendliest is yet another positive quality. If I was asked to rate Mike Mack and his crew on a 1-10 basis, with 10 being highest, he would rate a 10.

It took longer than expected because the shower door that was originally order wasn't correct. When it was finally installed, it needed some additional adjusting but the crew came right out to fix it and it ended up being perfect! The tile is gorgeous. Kelsey kept me in the loop throughout the project and provided exceptional customer service. Their prices aren't the cheapest, but the quality of work and customer service make it worth the extra dollar. Would highly recommend this company.

From the very first phone call to Mack Of All Trades I was confident that this was a reputable company. They were very friendly and responsive to my questions and concerns. The gentleman who came to my home to give an estimate explained everything and answered all of my questions. As luck would have it, they were able to begin almost immediately. The work was completed in a few short days with little inconvenience to my family. My new shower is perfectly installed and looks fantastic. I will definitely use this company again.

Didn’t start the work till 10 months after I paid them. Work was not quality and now every time it rains hard I get water in my basement. If you need an egress window go somewhere else!!!

Awesome job; would definitely hire again for more work at our home. Our composite deck was repaired and looks beautiful again.

Great! I already had a travertine tile backsplash on the wall and was worried it would get damaged when the old counters were torn out, but that didn't happen. Mack of All Trades did an excellent job, they are very pleasant to deal with, on-time, perform quality work, knowledgeable, and honest. I'm glad that I found them and find their professionalism, quality of work, and cost of service exceptional (their cost for this service was very reasonable). I am already looking to contact them about another job and would highly recommend them to family & friends.

A light fixture was removed from the kitchen ceiling and the ceiling patched. Pendant lights were then installed in that area. Recessed lighting was installed in kitchen also. Track lighting was removed from ceiling in living room and ceiling patched. Recessed lighting was installed in the ceiling. Mack of All Trades did a quality job as they have done previously for me. Cost was very reasonable for parts and labor time.

Work performed was excellent-very professional . Only negative was being re-scheduled . Would hire again.

The owner came out as scheduled and was friendly and quick in putting together a quote ... the quote arrived the same day and work was scheduled the next week. The work was completed as agreed and done well.

From the complete tear down of our old deck to the re-build of our new deck, the crew from Mack of All Trades was professional and courteous. They responded to our questions quickly and were willing to work with us to make this the best experience possible.
