Description of Work: Repaired deck, repaired & painted interior. They arrived on time, performed work in timely manner, left work area as clean or cleaner than when they arrived. This is not the first time I've used Flanagan Contracting and without question I would use them again.

Description of Work: After 30 years of wishing for a kitchen remodel, in the fall of 2012, our wish came true. Enter Flanagan Contracting! Owner Jim Flanagan was nothing less than a dedicated, talented, professional during the entire process from quoting and planning to demolition, installation, and finishing. When we discussed the schedule for completion we stressed that we wished to have the kitchen completed so that we could host Thanksgiving. Jim and his crew (Julio and Sean) stayed on task and worked tirelessly to assure that I would be able to cook in my new kitchen for Thanksgiving. Sounds easy right? Think again... Midway through our kitchen renovation, Hurrican Sandy hit! We were without electric for 14 days and our road was impassable for most of that time. Despite the worst storm to hit Long Island in many, many years, Jim and his crew showed up to work on the kitchen remodel. They used a heavy duty generator to continue the work despite the circumstances and despite their own personal hurricane related situations. Jim even offered to take me to buy food in his truck, as well as, pick up a generator for us! He kept the pressure on the plumber and electrician to stay on task also. Under these very trying circumstances, Jim and his crew continued to work so that I would be able to host Thanksgiving. Jim was a man of his word. Aside from the hurricane situation, Jim was a pleasure to work with. He guided us with good taste and honesty to make decisions, he made sure his crew was neat and cleaned up each day, he didn't take shortcuts, he gave us access to his professional discounts, and he was here every day. I am quite sure that I may have left out some additional positive feedback, but honestly, we feel blessed to have found Jim Flanagan and have hired him to do our long awaited kitchen remodel. Needless to say, we hosted Thanksgiving dinner in our brand new, beautiful kitchen! Thanks Jim!!!

Description of Work: Flanagan Construction remodeled an upstairs bathroom. Everything was replaced including an incredible hand done shower with tile work.

Description of Work: Completely finished basement including installing dricore subfloor system, installing new basement windows, insulation of exterior walls and ceiling. Also completely refinished basement bathroom that included adding a new shower. Tile on bathroom and Laundry room floors as well as on the walls of shower and bathroom. Jim implemented an innovative design in which he beautifully hides those ugly basement support columns by enclosing the top half in a decorative column and the bottom half in a knee wall that also provides shelving on one side. The overall effect had friends and relatives saying it felt more like a modern family room instead of a basement.

Description of Work: Replaced back door and storm, front double doors and storms, dining room tile floor, entry hall tile floor and removed large brick planter and brick arch over door to family room, removed old wrought iron railing going upstairs and replaced it with wood. He repaired extensive old termite damage in the walls, GAVE us crown molding in the hall, and painted everything when done.

Description of Work: I left a message for Mr. Flanagan to call me back to set up an appointment for an estimate to replace my aging deck. Mr. Flanagan returned my call and said that he will come that Sunday morning at 10am (with a call at 9:30am to confirm). The phone never rang and Mr. Flanagan never showed up.

Description of Work: Kitchen remodeling.

Description of Work: Took down old walls from old laundry and mudroom area, rebuilt walls, bathroom, laundry room, mudroom (Extensive tile work, glass shower built and tiled, tiles in the laundry and mudroom).

Description of Work: Remodeled Bedroom with crown moldings and base moldings as well as stripped and restained staircase

Description of Work: Our kitchen was completely remodeled from ceiling to floor, including the opening up of the entrance into the adjacent dining room. The entire project took approximately four weeks, which was what had been originally estimated. Jim and his crew were very professional and were always on-site when they said they would be there. At the conclusion of each day they would clean-up. His help in providing sources for cabinetry, counter tops, appliances and tiles was invaluable. We were confident that the project would be successful since this was the third project that Jim did for us.

Description of Work: We needed to have new windows (5) installed in our family room (54 years old).

Description of Work: I saw Mr Flanagan's work at a friend's house. Amazing quality for this day & age. Great attention to detail. My friend could not rave enough about Mr. Flanagan's work & after looking it over carefully I agree. Since it was not my house I can't comment on price but my friend said it was well worth what he paid for Mr Flanagan's services

Description of Work: Flanagan Contracting replaced a kitchen window and installed a new tile backsplash above the sink. Although he has won many awards for full kitchen remodels, Jim Flanagan was glad to take on this small project. His pricing was very fair and Jim was always on the job and on time. We can't recommend Jim highly enough. We are planning to do the rear windows in February and Jim is replacing them for us.

Description of Work: Designed and constructed a large deck in backyard and installed a new sliding glass door. Had to incorporate existing design of brick patio and built deck around our hot tub.
