We had some peeling paint and mold damaged drywall in our bathroom. Sean removed the damaged areas, patched them up and made multiple trips back to spackle and prime the bathroom. It came out great. Sean was very responsive and accommodative with scheduling. He showed up right on time, updated me throughout the process on his progress, and made sure the job was done the right way. Very easy to work with. We will definitely be using him again.

The deck looks excellent. Would definitely use DBD again for future work.

Did a beautiful job ! Has a fabulous crew, that were all very meticulous in everthing they did. And they constantly cleaned up after themselves as they worked ! Couldn't be happier !!!

.Sean and the rest of the workers were always upfront about when they could do the work and how long it would take. They really went out of their way to be clean and do the job right. Sean also gave me a really great quote on the job since I was a return customer and found him through Angie's. I doubt I would have gotten the same estimate elsewhere, to be honest. When talking about the work that had to be done, he didn't dumb it down assuming I didn't know what he was talking about and when I had a question, he answered it thoroughly. When an issue came up with plumbing, he explained it, solved it, and fixed it efficiently. I really couldn't have been happier. Everything was done in a few days...no long delays or drawn out work. When he told me he could do it, he gave me a date and that's when it happened.

Sean Decker, and his crew, Carlos, and Luis, were great. They were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, skilled, detail oriented, and professional. They heard my concerns, answered my questions, and did a great job. Upon completion, they cleaned up and left everything as neat as possible. This was the second time I have hired Sean, (see my positive review on 04/03/2014), and once again, I am very pleased with the results. I would / will hire him again without hesitation and highly recommend D.B.D. Home Improvements.

Sean was very responsive and extremely professional and respectful. His prices were great and the quality of his work was strong. The whole experience was very pleasant. I plan on using him myself in the future so would find it easy to recommend his work to others.

I have worked with many contractors over the years, some good and some bad but I can honestly say that Sean was a pleasure to work with. He always went out of his way to make sure I was satisfied with the work he wasdoing. His prices were fair and very competitive, sometimes doing extra and paying close attention to detail which is hard to find in a contractor, most just want to get in and get out. Professionalism means a lot when dealing with people and the way people address you or answer their phone or respond to questions says a lot about how someone will be when you contract them and Sean was always very professional. The project I had him working on was a kitchen and a bath remodel and he did a superb job. Hanging cabinets, repairing a wall and some siding, he laid a new tile floor and painted the interior of both the kitchen and bath. He also helped me permit my deck by building a new set of stairs from scratch along with new supports. Their were many other things he did that are too numerous to go over here. I was out of town for most of the project and had him send me daily progress reports with pictures which he was always accommodating to. He finished on time and was always in communication. At the end of the job I had him go over a few extra things that I couldn?t get to, without question he accommodated me so I was able to get the job done without coming back out to the house. When I was finally able to visit the house again, to my surprise, not only did he clean up his work but the entire site was cleaned up and garage was left clean and organized something I never expected him to do. Overall, when a person gives you a hard time ? not professional when they answer the phone, can?t get their bids in on time, doesn?t return your phone calls ? just in the bidding process then they are certainly going to be a problem when they get the job. Sean on the other hand was the exact opposite of this!!! I would highly recommend him for any project just on these qualifications alone. Contractors like this are hard to find and when you find them you should keep their number as I keep Sean?s number on speed dial.

I decided not to do the work since it was more expensive than I thought it would be. His prices weren't out of line since they were comparable to what someone else estimated. He was super professional and courteous, and definitely knew what he was talking about. He explained things that I didn't even think about. I will definitely consider using Sean when the time comes.

Sean and his crew were great. They took all the old wood off the deck and put all new wood to replace it. His crew was very neat and very polite. It only took a couple of days and they stayed until 9:00 one night to finish. The wood had to settle for a few days and then they came back to oil it. We are very pleased with the finished deck and the cost was very reasonable.

Amazing! I couldn't have asked for better! The work is outstanding, the communication throughout the build was great, and the finished product is perfect! Sean went above and beyond! I will absolutely use him for all future projects.

He strung me along for three months and then finally gave me a huge estimate on the work. It was a crazy estimate of almost $3000. So, I told him that I couldn't accept it. He was way over-priced. My interactions with him was good. He came by and what not. It's just that his estimate was way out of my range. I had no idea that I was going to have to spend that much money using him. His estimate was pretty detailed.

The work I needed to be be done was the replacement of roted wood beam on my wood stairs and a repaint. Sean came on schedule and measure the space and told me he would work-out an estimate. Punctuality, responsiveness and professionalism are all fine to me. The problem is his estimate and final cost 3,500$ for the work - this included the replacement of one 6x6 beam on landing and a porch piece with repaint (with sanding + nail replacement if damaged). The cost seemed high and I had to ask elsewhere for comparison. I got the deck power-washed and two beams replaced (the roted one and the adjacent one) with the porch rotted plank as well and the whole stairs repainted by a HandyMan for less than 300$ with parts (~ +60$ paint cost ). The work may not be as neat as what this company would do but the price difference is so huge (factor of x10) that it raises concerns. When I see other reviews noting "rebuilt landing and flight of steps" for 1,200$ and other costs, I can't stop thniking something went awfully wrong with the estimate I got.

It was really great. Sean and his guys arrived at 8 and worked til the job was finished at 5. The work done was just what was described when Sean came to do the estimate. The steps that were replaced were broken and dangerous and Sean got us into his schedule as soon as he could. Now we are just waiting to get back to the top of his list for other work to be done. It will be worth the wait!

It went beautifully. Contractor was excellent. Did a tremendous amount of work for the money and did great job.

First...we purchased this deal a long time ago and it had expired. Sean honored the deal no questions asked. Sean and the other worker he brought were very professional and did an amazing job. They also gave their professional opinion on other work we needed (we're in the process of fixing up our home for a renter). He is very knowledgable, professional, and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to use him again.

I purchased the door handle- DBD installed it - did an excellent job - was at my home for approximately 2 hours, issues with fit of handle, which were addressed and fixed - net charge $50.00

Sean did a great job with attaching the iron brackets for the shelves.

The job wound up being more complicated than the carpenter originally had thought. For the money I paid (which was to cost $149 in labor, wound up costing me over $500} I still have a door that lets cold air in, which increases my heating bills drastically in the winters.
