A & L Moving

Our son's move went extremely well. A&L provided excellent service. Owner, Dennis, helped us get organized and kept us on track beforehand, and our movers were wonderful on the day. They were professional, efficient, and made a stressful time so much easier for our family. We would definitely recommend A&L to others without hesitation, and we would hire them again ourselves. All & all it went very well. I would recommend this company to others.

Al and 3 other movers arrived with the 26 ft truck 15 minutes earlier than the 9 am start time he had told me they were going to arrive. I found out later in the day, that most of the employees are related, so it truly is a family business, and they really take pride in that. They filled the truck from top to bottom, and front to back, all in a little over 2 hours, when they unloaded at the new house they were very meticulous with placing every item with where it was tagged to go, and very careful with bringing everything into the house, in fact, there was nothing scratched or broken, except for my daughters lamp that I broke putting into my truck. It actually took 2 loads to get everything over, the second load was all the small and non-stackable items, they were so efficient, they finished 2 hours earlier than he had anticipated. I called Al on Saturday at 6:30 pm, he came to my house at 7:30 to go through our house with us, gave us a quote, and 2 days later he and his crew arrived early for the move, other movers knowing we were in a bind, quoted us very high knowing we had no other choice, not Al, he was fair and honest, call Al, you won't go wrong.

I called for an estimate on moving services. Woman called back who was very rude and abrupt. She quoted and outrageous amount with no idea what I required and they was exceedingly nasty when I questioned the amount.... Based on the less than 10 minute interaction with her I will never use or reccomend them. In fact I was compelled to write this. Fair warning - you are the face of the company when you return a call - this was a bad experience. 20 minutes later a girl from another agency called back and it was a wonderful conversation and introduction to their company. Even if she charges more I would go with them because they were kind, helpful and considerate on the phone.

When an A and L rep came to do the estimate, he didn't make any written notes or in fact even give us a price estimate: just said, and quot;this looks fine.and quot; The night before our move, A and L called to ask if and quot;we had already moved all our boxes over.and quot; !! I'm not sure how they got that impression, as when the rep was at our house to do the estimate, we specifically that we would have a *lot* of boxes and not much furniture. We did say that a few things that we woudl move over a few items, like the stereo,on our own, so perhaps that was the source of the miscommunication. Fortunately, when we told them that they would indeed be moving boxes, they adapted their plans quickly. Our move took about 6 hours overall, with 4 men working for a portion of the day, then 3. Pros: Everything arrived in good shape, and we booked the move without that much lead time - maybe a month or so in advance? I'm accustomed to having to book movers with more lead time, though perhaps that is only a problem in big cities. Cons: We could have lived without the ongoing commentary about how much stuff we had from one of the movers.

I am a busy working professional with a wife and three children. Deposit was due at time of reservation. Female company representative had came to our home to pick up the deposit. She was very friendly and I felt comfortable with the arrangement. EXCEEDED our expectations!!! Owner (Al) was on site with staff who were EXTREMELY pleasant, courteous, respectful, polite, competent, and willing to respond to any request for assistance within the realm of their duties. Staff were very friendly and polite towards my wife which made me feel comfortable and able to focus on the stressful other tasks associated with moving. Most staff on site were long tenured employee's. These professionals made the entire moving process very pleasant and I would reccomend them without question.

Al was friendly and quick to come to the house for an estimate. On the day of the move, the team arrived promptly and got right to work. Overall, Aand L provided good service. The estimate was off quite a bit, as the move actually took two loads. However, Al and his team stayed with it.
