He was very polite and explained things well to me because he was very knowledgeable. I never had any work done further, I just had the inspection.

When I called, I was greeted with a friendly voice and a two hour window in which they would be at my home (same day). Joe called at the beginning of the time window and told me he was on his way which was very helpful. He was nothing short of friendly and professional. I would not hesitate to call them again for any issues we may have. Thank you Petri.

Required two visits. First one was to diagnose the problem and identify parts needed for repair. Parts needed to be ordered from manufacturer which Petri helped me with. Second visit was shorter and involved installing the part.

Amazing. These guys saved me. My living room subfloor collapsed into my basement, destroying the piping in the basement leading to the boiler and the boiler dry fired..leaving me without heat, a huge hole where the living room floor used to be and in serious trouble. After my original plumber disappeared mid-job leaving me in a total mess I jumped on Angie's List and found Petri. I was actually crying on the phone while speaking with them...they calmed me down and Mike Petri came to my home that very afternoon. He looked at everything, explained what needed to be done and what it would cost. His crew worked furiously for days to get the heat back on and correct the damage. They are all incredibly skilled, kind, courteous, respectful professional people. I honestly don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found them. Yes...they are more expensive than other plumbers in the area but their work, knowlege and genuine kindness is worth every penny. I've already had them back to do other work in my home and plan on using them for as long as I live in the neighborhood. They take pride in what they do...and that's not easy to find these days. Call them...you will not be disappointed!

It want well. The Petri guy had to negotiate with the super who didn't do a good job and whom we had to fire in order to find the valve to turn off the cold water, so he could fixed the problem. He worked with the super, who clearly knew he was being replaced, and fixed the problem. We are happy with the service.

Simple job, done quickly, easily, profesionally. Bought new toilet through them and they installed and also removed/discarded old toilet. Being a quick job, they were able to fit in a few am hours the same week. Also used coupon posted for them on Angie's List.

It went as hoped. He was here about two hours and was neat and clean. He took care of the problem and took away all the debris.

Petri was very quick to respond and send a plumber. I had a radiator that was not working. After many hours of looking at the radiator and trying to diagnose the problem, the plumber mentioned the need to consult with Michael Petri. We have discussed overhauling our entire system in the next few months and will move forward later in the summer. Great follow-up.

I originally made two appointments which I had to cancel. The person in the office making the appointments was very pleasant and accommodating. The final appointment was scheduled between 1 - 2 on a Wednesday. The repairman Arsen Barolli called me at 10:30 AM to say he had finished his prior job and if I would prefer he could come earlier to my house. I agreed and he showed up at 11:00 AM. He was very pleasant, took a look at the toilet and gave me an estimate of $397.55, which I thought it was a little high, but Petri Plumbing has a good reputation so I said OK, and signed the contract. Arsen proceeded to put a new float assembly in the Toilet with hardly a peep. He went about his job quietly and professionally. At one point he had a problem with one of the old pipes that comes out of the wall and instead of panicking, like some plumbers have in the past, he calmly informed me of the problem and said he would fix it and I was not to be concerned. He fixed the problem which took about an extra hour and a half and the job was done. The toilet works fine and I was very happy with Arsen's work. He even came back after he left my house to make an adjustment that I noticed, to the new Float. The Plumber was at my house for about 2 1/2 hours because of all the extra work he had to do because of the old pipe problem. I was not charged extra for his extra time. Arsen Barolli, although he is relatively young has a demeanor and calmness way beyond his years. I would defininitely recommend him and Petri Plumbing for any plumbing jobs that you need done. Especially if you have an old house like mine.

Seriously clogged bathroom sink which I tried to snake myself on a Saturday. An old hex nut broke when I removed a pipe, turning a drip into steady stream. Shut down the sink, checked Angie's List at 8 AM Sunday, called two plumbers with A grades -- Aladdin and Petri. Only Petri called back. I agreed to extra $125 for Sunday work. They dispatched Joe, who was young, hardworking, polite and careful. He got the clog, which was deep in the wall, then replaced the drain connection I broke. But moving the pedestal sink to do the work cracked two other old connections, which I don't blame him for (he was more careful than I had been and he had the right tools.) That added two more fixes to the job's cost. Petri isn't the cheapest, but does the work right (as others on this list have said and as Joe agreed). He had the right parts in his truck, and he cut me what price breaks he could, including a $40 Angie's discount, and also came down to the basement for free to look around and answer my questions about what will need attention soon and what I can let wait. Overall, an experience that cost me quite a bit more than I'd hoped, but was professionally done, and on a Sunday/holiday.

Extraordinary. My phone call to the office early in the morning was handled with courtesy and efficiently. The workers arrived a half hour early (they did not call as promised but graciously waited when told that I was enroute from my office and they were absolutely fine about that; they had a chance to have lunch in fact). They were both remarkably courteous, did the work carefully but without delay, were polite, very professional, and explained the situation very clearly to me. I cannot say enough good things about my interactions with them or the work that they did. I would absolutely recommend Petri to anyone who asked. I thought the price was high but only want to point that out to anyone who needs to be sensitive on that issue in terms of their budget; it obviously was not a deal breaker for me. They certainly tell you upfront what the cost is and you don't have to accept the job; the work that they did was excellent but it did seem like $600 was a bit steep for what had to be done.That does not detract from my absolute endorsement but it was a bit of sticker shock, nevertheless.

Wonderful service. Professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. A part was missing for the dishwasher hookup. He went to get the part and finished the service that day. No problems or hassles. They are reliable-they arrive when they say they will. It's amazing to find a plumber like this these days.

Everything about the way the company operates was excellent and one of the best experiences I have had with a service company. They were very responsive to my requests for information and came to my home to analyze the problem and did not charge for the service call until after the work was done on a subsequent visit.

My boiler broke down and with special needs young adults in the house-there was a leak which in turn caused the heat to stop-I had to get things on track fast. After a few people said they couldn't get to me until Monday, Petri's returned my call quickly. Joe reached out to me and came by quickly. Even though i didn't know about the heating issue until after I called, Joe was super efficient with assessing the problem and doing the repairs. And all in the emergency repair budget I had. I will never call anyone else but Petri's again-their team from the phone rep to the tech who came out-are well trained, professional, and courteous. THEY ROCK!

It was perfect. I had originally ordered two toilets on my own but when the plumber from Petri, Joe, came to install them he told me they wouldn't fit and I had to return them. He offered to check the specifications for any toilets I decided to purchase so that I would not make the same mistake again. When I made my decision I emailed him the information and he called me and told me they would be fine. After they arrived I called Petri and quickly got an appointment for the installation. They gave me a window of time in which to expect him and he was very prompt, calling me before he got here to tell me he was on his way. Joe is very professional and very personable. He even paid attention to my dog who can sometimes be annoyingly attention-seeking around strangers. He really cares about his work. He corrected some mistakes that had been made in the original installation and because the bathroom tile was involved in the installation he asked me if I had the original grout when he could have easily just used silicone and not asked for the grout. He also took the old toilets away. Since hiring contractors can be so iffy even with good recommendations, I feel very lucky to have chosen Petri to have this work done.

Prices are generally higher than what you will be quoted elsewhere. If you are looking for an affordable solution, I would look elsewhere. No free consultation. The consultation fee is waived if work is done on the day of. I was also told, however, that the fee is NOT waived if after 4PM. If work is done on the weekends, I was also told that the fee is not waived regardless of time of work. I had a leaky kitchen sink that needed repairs in an apartment unit. I am not a handyman by any means and so I wasn't certain what was the cause of the problem and called on Petri to get the job done. Overall, I wouldn't recommend them or use them again since there were a number of snags along the way. Based off of the other reviews, my experience may be isolated, but given that their pricing is generally higher than what you would be quoted elsewhere, its a risk I wouldn't double down on again. The technician arrived late and called about 10-15 minutes before the end of the 3-hour window I was given, only to be at the incorrect address and he needed another 20-30 minutes to arrive. The sink and counter top were old and the leak stemmed from a few sources. As I mentioned earlier, I'm not a handyman and trusted in the technician to properly diagnose and remedy the problem. He kept pointing to the faucet and sink needing a replacement, which I agreed due to its age, but I couldn't go with it since I wanted to also replace the counter top at some point and I would need to eventually replace the sink/faucet again. I told him that for the time being he should just replace the drain pipe and I would deal with the faucet later. He generally did a good job for what he did and was clean about replacing the pipe. I returned to the sink a few hours later to find that the leak worsened. Granted, he told me that the faucet and sink were another cause of the problem in addition to the pipe, but I had another repairman look at it and they told me that the real problem was the water valve leading from the wall and that the faucet wasn't the main culprit. Essentially, he missed the ball on diagnosing the issue in its entirety which led me to have to call on someone else to wrap up the job. Lastly, I was charged twice on my credit card which added insult to injury.

I called Petri the day before. I got someone on the phone right away and made an appointment for the following day. Joe called before he came. He was courteous and very respectful of my home. He dismantled, cleaned, and re-installed my bathtub stopper. He also checked to be sure that the stopper functioned properly once he did the job. And as always he meticulously cleaned the work area. I use Petri to service my water heater, and they sent the same plumber so he was familiar with me and my home. Very helpful. Joe was in and out in less than an hour and the job was done.

With an abbreviated February break, I called on Tuesday morning hoping to be able to schedule an appointment for next week. The office staff was great, offering a two-hour window for an appointment that morning. Joe, the tech, called to get details and arrived promptly within the window. After assessing the work to be done, he offered several ways to go with my older, temperamental brownstone fixtures. I wasn't prepared to go all in for replacing the toilets, as I hadn't done any comparative research and the price for that seemed a bit high. He gave me what seemed like fair prices on temporary measures, with some guidance as to their limitations, but with no hard sell for the more expensive jobs. He completed all repairs - toilets, sinks, and shower - neatly and efficiently and even reminded me of the Angie's List discount when settling up. Very polite and professional. Overall, a great experience.

Overall my experience with this company was very positive. I was initially quite frustrated at having spent more than $1200 to not have the problem fixed but Petri apparently stands by its work as the plummer (Arsen) came back for a follow-up diagnosis and subsequent service call at no charge. I had called the owner, Michael Petri, to voice my concerns, and to his credit, he was very responsive. I do think this company is quite expensive, and has a steep mark-up on parts (so its good to have some knowledge of what things cost), but in the end, I feel I was treated very fairly. In addition, everyone from the company that I dealt with was very courteous and professional. So despite the cost, I would strongly consider using them again.

I called Petri Plumbing to service and flush out deposits built up within my tankless waterheater. Due to the in climate weather, the technician arrived after the time slot provided. The technician immediately reviewed the situation and the piping that the builder installed, was not conducive to performing a flush on the unit. He reworked the piping, to make it easier to flush the unit for future maintenance. The overall job took over 3 hours and was a bit of a process. (However, if you want to have it done correctly this is the time that you would need to allocate to this.) After the flush was complete, the technician fully tested all faucets and showers in the apartment to ensure that there was proper water flow. He also provided tips on maintaining proper water flow throughout the apartment. The technician was very professional, and honest; and took care of my hardwood floors surrounding the mechanical closet. He also was mindful to clean up after his work was complete; which you do not find many people doing when you call for service. I would recommend Petri Plumbing to my family, and especially to my neighbors, who may encounter issues with the waterheater and piping.

Overall, this company returned our calls for service. Called to let us know they were on the way and would be here shortly. The plumber came in, was courteous throughout the visit, went directly to the basement, diagnosed the problem, quoted a price, and made the necessary repairs. When he was making out the bill I handed him my coupon from Angie's list that I printed from the computer and he promptly deducted the $38 coupon without any hesitation.
