Everything went very smoothly, from our first call to Petri Plumbing to the completion of the work. Jeanne was very helpful and promptly provided extensive insurance papers that building requires. Joe made sure that our new fixtures will be compatible with each other and the existing bathroom set up before we bought them. Joe did a wonderful job with installation, answered all our questions patiently. He was highly professional and friendly. We are very happy with the whole procedure. We would definitely use them again and recommend to everybody else.

Petri did a good job diagnosing the issue with our water heater and replacing the broken part. It has worked effectively since the part replacement. The technician, Joe, also inspected and drained standing water from our sewer trap. The company understood the time sensitivity of the issue and the service was timely. I recommend Petri's services and will call them about future issues.

It was just too expensive and not competitive with other companies.

We noticed the leak in the basement this morning, I looked on Angie's list and picked Petri because of the reviews. I spoke to someone at noon in their office and said I could be home from work by 3:30. She said they'd have a plumber over between 3:30-5:30 Joe called at 3:30 to say he could be here in 20 minutes. He arrived, ascertained the problem, fixed it and was done in no time at all. We are very impressed with the service. Highly recommend.

Did a good job, was professional and responsive. Came back 3 times because they had to order a part, then come back to install it. Their installation then failed, but they honorably came back again a 3rd time to re-repair their installed part.

Joe came at the prearranged time and explained the pros and cons of snaking the clogged drain. I decided to give it a try even though someone else had tried to snake it and failed. Seems the drain was installed poorly and Joe could not get the snake in, so he used an alternate method which forced air into it and cleared the drain.

It went well. Joe had to come back the next day after not having the part I needed. This was due to the system being so old. He was quick to explain and fix the issue. He was kind and considerate of my time. The job is done and the toilet works just fine.. Thanks to Joe!!!

The plumber was delayed by an emergency that morning. However, the work was very good, and I would use them again. They were very pleasant to deal with. I live in a New York City co-op, where you need paperwork to walk in the door. Petri Plumbing was very good about obtaining the necessary paperwork promptly.

We had a 30 yr. old toilet in our bathroom that we wanted to replace. We had first called another plumber from Angie's and he was willing to do the job much cheaper. But we were having a problem measuring the roughing size...it was between 10 and 12 inches. Not a standard size. In addition, the bathroom is very small and it was difficult fiinding a toilet to fit. The first plumber was unwilling to come in and measure the roughing and we were concerned that we would order a toilet and it wouldn't fit. We called Petri plumbing...they made a service call and recommended we order a toilet for a 12 inch roughing. When they came to install it, ( a koehler Santa Rosa toilet) it did not fit, and they took it back and retuned the following week with a Toto toilet made for a 10 inch roughing. They were very courteous , clean, and professional. The toilet has worked perfectly with no problems. I would highly recommend them, but their pricing seems to be higher than other plumbers in the area.

He was wonderful, he fixed the leak, and cleaned up after. He did destroy the ceiling to get to the pipe but did not fix the hole and I had to get that repaired separately.

Everything went very well. I have no complaints with them. They were able to have somebody come by almost the next day as they had a plumber in the neighborhood to give me an estimate. In Manhattan, that's amazing. The work was scheduled at that point, and they came out when they said they would. I am very pleased with their work, and would call them again.

The company was very professional and so was the plumber who came to our home. I had a leak in my ceiling between floors coming from either a radiator or its related plumbing. The leak itself was a relatively simple one to identify and fix and didn't involve making any openings. The plumber was literally done in 5 seconds after tightening a knob on the radiator that was wet and clearly the culprit. Nevertheless I was charged a standard fee simply because he had to travel from Bay Ridge, Brooklyn to Cypress Hills, Brooklyn. For that reason alone I probably wouldn't use them again unless it's a big job. I don't remember the exact fee but it was close to $180. Luckily they applied the $35 discount. Overall, great company and great experience.

They were prompt and though they didn't do any actual work, they offered advice on the issue. We needed our drains jetted, but they could only snake it and said that wouldn't solve it and would be expensive. Just charged us for the call.

The rep "Joe" called ahead to let us know when he would arrive; actually came earlier than our appointment which was great. Joe confirmed what our building superintendent had suggested was the problem, cleared everything out from the walls of our kitchen to inspect, cleaned up the "mess" from prior leak, replaced the kitchen sink faucet. Joe then tested everything in our kitchen: dishwasher, new faucet, sink drain, etc. and put everything back in order. Excellent at explaining the problem and our options. Had everything needed to fix the problem "on the spot" (in fact had a choice of faucets for us to choose). Worked efficiently with good humor and communication. Overall excellent.

He was too chatty and asked too many personal questions. He then broke a pipe and charged me $750 for what was originally quoted at $500.00. I will not use this company again. He said he would charge me $500 and leave it broken if I chose to not let him fix the broken pipe for the additional cost of $150.00 I felt taken advantage of.

Our experience with Petri plumbing has been great. All of their guys are extremely professional and competent. They installed a backflow preventer in our basement which has worked flawlessly since installed. There is a sewere problem on our block that causes the sewer to backflow into people's basements during heavy rain. Since Petri put our backflow preventer in we have not had any problems. They were willing to spend a lot of time with us researching and deciding on what the best way to deal with our problem was. They always showed up on time and were extremely professional in every respect. Petri alos rezoned out single zone heating system to have a zone for each floor in our house, which has saved us a ton of money on heating bills and made our house a more comfortable and uniform temperature throughout , rather than being cold in the basement and hot on the top floor in the winter. Again, Petri worked with us to find the best solution for our situation. When the work was done it was the middle of the winter, and the heat had to be turned off during the work. In order to make sure the whole job could be done in one day so that we could get the heat back on, Petri's guys started first thing in the morning and worked until around 11pm. When there was a small problem with one of the connections, they came back and fixed it right away. The bottom line is that Petri does great work at a fair price, and stands behind it.

The guys from Petri Plumbing & Heating were great. They were honest and upfront. They explained everything. They are very quick and very transparent.

Our toilet failed on Thursday night, and I found Petri Plumbing on Angie's List on Friday morning and called around 10 am. Jeanne was cordial, professional, took all my info and gave me a window for a service call between 2-4 pm. About an hour later, Jeanne called again to confirm the appointment. Joe arrived at my home shortly after 4 pm (rush hour traffic and parking in this neighborhood is wicked). Joe used booties over his shoes before he entered my home, and I thought this is a man I could do business with...lol. Within a few minutes he determined that the flapper inside the tank needed replacement, and he even had the appropriate Kohler part for the toilet. Overall, I was very happy with the service. Joe was professional, polite, knowledgeable, and he cleaned up after completing the job. I will certainly use Petri again for other plumbing projects I want to undertake in the future (including emergencies), and I would request Joe to do the work. It's so difficult to find service providers you can trust to show up and do the job correctly. If others find their prices to be high, whose aren't? The big difference is that it's worth the money when you get what you're paying for and the work is done right the first time. I would definitely recommend Petri to others.

The tenants said there was no hot water. It went very well. I made an appointment for the service call to see what was wrong. The service guy arrived early enough to fix the problem so the tenants could shower and go to work. It only took one half-hour to diagnose and fix the problem. They knew what to do and did it. Kind of expensive for 1/2 hour of work, but worth it, I guess.

Called Petri to investigate a leak from our bathroom into the apartment downstairs. They immediately determined that it was a grout issue, which they were not able to fix. We have since called them for a leak under our kitchen sink and they were punctual and professional and we would recommend them if you're ever in need of a plumber.

I am a long-distance landlord and my tenant had an issue with the hot water supply in the shower from a tankless hot water heater. A previous plumber felt the water heater needed to be replaced and said he was ordering one, but then disappeared. I called Petri Plumbing one evening and gave them the information, including the manufacturer of the hot water heater. We made an appointment for the following week when I would be in the city. By the next morning, they followed up to say they had found a replacement water heater should I need one. The plumber showed up on time, checked it out, made some adjustments, and determined I did not a [very expensive] replacement. He explained what he had done and told me what I could do to check it again in the future. I would definitely recommend Petri Plumbing and will have my tenant call them as needed in the future. I value their responsiveness and sense of urgency, especially as a long-distance landlord.

My plumber, Joe, was a little bit early so he gave me a courtesy call to see if I was available. I was and he came in and immediately but on shoe covers to protect my wooden floors. He was very professional from the start and was very descriptive when explaining what he would do, the price and any questions I had along the way. While working on the issue I had, he brought to my attention a crack in my faucet. He was very helpful in giving me options that I could take to alleviate that problem. Joe was very knowledgeable not only with my problem but other questions I had about possible future plans in my home.

It went well. They corrected the problem and even connected a pipe to never have this problem again. Because of their expertise I did not have that same problem

I was unable to turn off one of the water faucets to the bathtub. The screws appeared to be stripped. The only shut off available was in the cellar for the building so I had to do this quickly. I had the name of Petri which was a recommendation from someone I know -- the earlier experience was was ok but also quite expensive. I called them and they were responsive, which was good. In the end, two handles needed to be replaced and two spindles or screws. 421 dollars.
