The plumber was knowledgable with a great demeanor. Explained everything thoroughly and seemingly resolved the issues that was causing a slight leak. He even put on boot covers to make sure he didn't make any type of mess.

Very professional, extremely responsive, knowledgeable, clean. I highly recommend. Mike is the owner, Joe is the technician that did the installation. Both exceptional.

Everything about Joe was very professional, timely and thoughtful. He came prepared to work... I love that! He took the time to listen to my wife and I. He gave us the feeling that he wasn't there to "sell" us on tons of work, but he was there to do the job that would best benefit us, even if that meant it would not be $1,000s of dollars, but only a few hundred. He sold us with his honesty. As a home owner, I appreciate that more than anything else.

We thought we had two unrelated problems--a leak in a pipe in the basement and a leak under our kitchen sink--but Victor showed us that the leak was one and the same. He addressed both promptly and neatly--cleaned up in both areas--and left us with kitchen strainer that worked efficiently for the first time since original installation

I have a business in midtown Manhattan and have always had a hard time finding quality and reasonable contractors. I found Petri Plumbing on Angie's List had them do some repairs and I'm having them come back to do some more work because I am very happy with them.

Very prompt and courteous. A pleasure to work with, so I am having them do some additional work in another property. I would recommend Petri without hesitation.

They were very good, and friendly but their price was very high.

After charging me upwards of $90 for a service call, they did not let me know whether or not they would be able to get the part or not. I had to call them back 3 times before they told me that they would have to take the shower apart and then see if they could find the part on-line, as this type of shower part is no longer made. I knew this from the beginning but the plumber who came did not, and I still don't have any real idea what it would cost to fix the problem or if its even fixable. Oh and the guy was 2 hours late.

Called about repair to a Sloan Flushmate. Scheduled a repair and Mr. Petri called me back to say that there was a product recall. He gave me the number and said I could save money by calling Sloan directly. He was right. An honest guy! And Jeanie, the receptionist made me smile for the 2 calls I made.

Had huge leak in my Harlem Brownstone kitchen on early Sunday morning. Leaking down to the garden below. Checked Angie's List for an emergency plumber (as all the other plumbers I have used the past 7 years of full gut renovation were not worth having back) and found Petri was very highly reviewed. I called the service and left a message, which was quickly returned. They gave me a 2 hour window and Thomas showed up in the first half hour. He diagnosed the problem right away, have me a fair quote on the price and fixed to perfection! He even cleaned up all the pans and mess from the leak!!! I could not have been happier with their work and price. A small charge for Sunday emergency work - but more than fair. I still have 2 floors to renovate so have definitely found my new plumbers!!!!

I called Petri because the heat in my condo unit was out. Unfortunately this has happened again 3 times since then. To be clear, it has been a pleasure working with Petri and as other reviewers have said, they are professional and punctual. They have not been effective in my case. First visit: The plumber ran a diagnostic and the immediate problem seemed to be that the pilot light on my boiler would not stay lit. The he suggested that I replace the thermocouple which I did. Second visit: About 2 weeks later, I lost heat because the light went out again. The second plumber cleaned the pilot head. He warned that if the light goes out again, that I may have to replace the gas valve. Third visit: When my heat did indeed go out again 2 days later, I had the gas valve replaced. It had a very hefty price associated, but I had been warned ahead of time that I may need this work done. That was great service and set my expectations. During that visit, it was clear that I should not expect to have any problems with the pilot after this work was completed. However, after 3 visits and $1,000 spent, I am surprised that less than a week later, that I again lost heat and the pilot light went out. The service has been extremely professional and the plumbers seem knowledgeable, but at the end of the day, the most important thing is to have functioning heat which I still do not have.

Initial contact ( called on Nov21, 2013) was very very good. Spoke with the Manager and Michael and I thought we were on our way to solving my plumbing problems. Was told on Dec. 12th, they were still working on it with a manufacturer. Emailed them January 6 and 13th and as of this date, I have NOT heard back from anyone from Petri Plumbing. I am greatly disappointed since Petri came highly recommended by Angie's List. I don't see how Petri could have a high rating on Angei's List. I will never call them again nor would I ever recommended them.

The radiators on my top floor stopped working over the course of a few weeks. I figured there was air in the system, but I didn't want to mess with the bioler myself. Looking up plumbers on Angie's List, I came across Petri Plumbing. Gave them a call and was met with a very friendly voice. Scheduled an appt for 3pm-5pm the next evening. At 4:50pm the next evening, nobody had arrived and I hadn't received a call so I gave Petri a call. Spoke with a bit of a curt woman at their answering service who told me she'd pass my message along. Received a more friendly call a few minutes later letting me know that they were running late. I'm totally fine with them running late, esp in the winter and it being the end of the day, but a heads up would be nice. I've had service providers just never show up for an appt so I like to be updated if somebody is running late. Anyway, Joe gave me a call a bit thereafter and confirmed that he was on his way. Once he arrived, we did a quick walk-through of the situation and then went down to look at the boiler. Joe also suspected that the issue was air in the system so he told me what the work would cost and, upon my agreement, began working on the issue. Joe was really great - professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable, etc. Even though the problem was pretty basic, he didn't rush through the work at all. Took his time, had me check things out upstairs and then did another round of bleeding just to make sure he could get out as much air as possible. Throughout this, he talked to me about my boiler set-up and gave me some suggestions on improvements (not a "you have to do this", but a "you could do this" or "you might want to consider doing this"). He also took a look at another issue I have which I'll most likely be calling Petri for when I'm ready to do that work. Joe did say that we would look into one point for me on that issue and come back to me on it so I'm hoping I'll get a call back with that info. The price for the work was a bit high, but I figured it would be based on the other reviews on Angie's. I've had a lot of house work done and I've gotten to a point where I'd rather pay a little more to be happy with the people I work with and the work that gets done. Overall, I'm glad I called Petri Plumbing and I'd recommend them.

Victor was punctual and courteous. He was thorough in his investigation, found the problem, and made the necessary repair. He stayed late into the evening to complete the work. I was very impressed by his competence. I will use Petri Plumbing again in the future.

They came out at the scheduled time and provided a quote and the pricing was great . Jr was prompt, explained everything in detail and worked really quickly to get the job done. He also advised us on another issue with the boiler . Will definitely call them again and highly recommend .

They are professional, reliable, and they take the time to educate you. It's increased the value of the house. He walks me through it and I know what the pipes look like. I have a much better sense of my house. I saved thousands with him and got another 100 years on my house. They give a 3 year guarantee on their work. I called them the day before Thanksgiving having problems adjusting to the new system, with a sewer back up into the basement, and they came out immediately. They always respond to your call. He gets very involved right from the get-go. He's a master plumber and his team is tight. It's the same people every time they call, which shows they're a small company but their turnover is low and they're excellent. He's working with me on the design and helped me find a tub. I can leave and they'll lock up, there's no problem with them in the house. They clean up, which is utterly the most important thing. The best find! I am definitely keeping. I call them my rescue team. You get what you pay for, and they will let you take payments. My plumbing and heating is tight and the materials are high-quality. There are no issues, and if there are, they come and fix it. They're worth every penny. He stands by his work.

Since I used Petri for previous work and was happy with the service, I decided to go ahead and call for another service. I called on Monday the 13th and scheduled an appointment for Saturday, January 18th from 8-10am. Yesterday morning, I waited until 9:30am before I called to make sure someone was on their way. I was placed on hold, spoke to the receptionist and informed her that no one has shown just yet, and was placed on hold again. After the receptionist returned, she informed me that the manager would return my phone call in a few minutes. I waited until 11:30am and didn't receive a call....so I decided to go about my day. Needless to say, I was on the train when I received a voicemail indicating that was someone was on their way in a half hour (this was approximately at 4:30pm). (I was no where near home) I was disappointed with the way this situation was managed & had higher expectations....it was a waste of everyone's time.

I called Petri yesterday because our toilet wasn't flushing (and we couldn't see how to fix it ourselves). They were able to accommodate us and come on a Saturday, which was perfect. I mentioned on the phone that we have a Toto, and asked if the plumber would be prepared to fix it (plumbers don't usually carry Toto parts with them). They assured me they would. Joe showed up on time and with Toto replacement parts. He was professional, friendly and courteous. I will definitely call Petri the next time we need a plumber.

Joe is great: punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, clean, friendly, communicative and more. He just left, but everything is working fine. If a problem develops, he said to call back since Petri guarantees its work. When our kitchen faucet broke, I ordered a replacement from Amazon and searched Angie's list for a plumber. I noticed that those companies with rave reviews also had comments that they were costly. I concur the price is high, but the cost is worth getting someone who knows what they are doing and does it well. I left a message for Petri Plumbing on a Sunday night and received an immediate reply. The next morning I called and their friendly receptionist, Jeanne, scheduled an appointment for the time that I expected to receive the faucet from Amazon. When the faucet came a day early, Jenna rescheduled my appointment for the day earlier. Although Joe got a little lost getting to my apartment due to road closures, he phoned me and actually arrived within the expected window of time. Upon arrival, Joe donned covers for his shoes and laid out a cloth. Everything was very clean and he offered to take the broken faucet with him as he left. A small plastic part in the faucet I received from Amazon was broken, but Joe was able to reuse a perfectly good congruent part from the old faucet. The most important aspect is that Joe listened to what the problem was and fixed it. Once the faucet was replaced I commented that the water flow seemed weak and that it had been weak even before the faucet broke. He agreed and he discussed the possible causes including the old rusty valves or the building's pipes. I probably will get the valves replaced in the near future, but he never exerted any pressure. In fact he said, that since it's working now I should try to see if it was the building's fault. He gave an estimate for the valve replacement.
