+ -1 moreIt went really well. They are very clean. They did a beautiful job. I got my rugs in very good time but he's like the only one running the business so you kind to have to work with his schedule, like when you're going to be there and when he is going to be there. It's maybe a little more informal than most people would be comfortable with. There was no aggravation or anything. He did a nice job but I think he's also trying really hard to provide a quality service so his heart was in it which is a good thing. Pricing was good and better than bigger companies. I didn't really mind the way he went about doing things but I can't say it felt like it was professional. It seemed like a little bit more personal that professional in some ways which is not necessarily a bad thing.
Description of Work: He took 2 small oriental rugs and cleaned it.

I did spend more than the "Big Deal" I purchased. I spent $350 more. I had them do some items of furniture which wasn't on the original program. They came as planned and they were punctual.

+ -1 more2/25/15 After reading my "Angie's List" review Nathan called and wanted to come back to clean the spot. They came back yesterday with their machine and cleaned the spot. It is now completely clean without even a shadow. So I have changed my ratings of them for the better.
Description of Work: I own a small apartment building and I bought an $89. carpet cleaning from Angie's list big deal, in order to clean the carpet in a vacant apartment. The deal was for two rooms and I had three rooms of carpet but they were small and empty of furniture. In my emails with Nathan I was upfront about the fact that it was three rooms and I gave him the exact square footage. I was aware that he might charge me more and I was OK with that. When he came to clean the carpet he told me that the $89. coupon was just for steam cleaning and that he could do a better job if he used a cleaning fluid. This would cost $145. more. I said fine. They worked for about 90 minutes. When they were done they invited me to go in and see, but as the carpet was still damp and I had just been outside I didn't want to risk tracking dirt on to the carpet. "There is a cigarette burn in front of the other door." Nathan said. I hadn't noticed a cigarette burn there before, but I wasn't really surprised to hear that there was one. Two days later I went up to inspect the carpet. (The apartment was vacant and locked.) Some vague stains were still visible but over all the carpet looked cleaner and fresher and I was pleased. Then I got to the "cigarette burn" which wasn't a cigarette burn at all and had definitely not been there before. It was a sooty mark about 3" by 3/4". I think this mark was made by Nathan's machine. I got paper towels and rubbed the spot. The soot started coming up. Then I got some carpet spot cleaner and used it on the spot, working it in with my fingers, (there was no burned or melted spot) and then blotting it with paper towels. It is still visible, but much lighter. This spot is the reason that I give Ontime Carpet low grades. Why didn't they talk honestly with me about the spot? Why didn't they clean the spot? Having paid $234. to have the carpet cleaned I should not have had to clean that spot. Cleanable dirt should not have been left on that carpet!

There were a number of dirt and "kid-caused" stains on my carpets, and On Time Carpet was able to get them all out. I will definitely use them again, and would recommend them to my friends.

+ -1 moreOur building requires all vendors to prove they have insurance. They wanted me pay the $40 fee to prove they have insurance. I got the deal refunded because I didn’t feel that it was fair to charge me. They may do wonderful work, but we never got that far.

+ -1 moreOn Time Carpet did a terrific job. The owner, Nathan, called to confirm prior to the date, arrived on time as his company name says and he and his assistant worked efficiently. They were careful with our belongings and moved most of the furniture as they state that they will in order to get to all possible areas. Our 26 year old wool carpeting looks excellent now. I would certainly use them again.
Description of Work: The provider shampooed the wall to wall carpeting in our one bedroom apartment which included a foyer, a short hallway, a bedroom and the living room.

I was able to arrange the cleaning for the day after I called. The two guys arrived when they said they would, and were knowledgeable and courteous. I would highly recommend On Time Carpet.

He wants to make sure that his customers are happy and regularly checks in to ensure that this is the case. My hallway carpet in particular needed a lot of work, and he went over it multiple times until it was transformed. He made sure to clean underneath and behind furniture, not just the rush job on the apparent surface areas that some other companies will do. + 0 moreOne of the rugs was badly stained and they said they would work on it but could not guarantee that the stain would be completely remove, they said they would try to get the stain out completely and would return the rugs on December 15. On December 15 Nathan called to say they would have to do some more work on this one rug because they were not satisfied with how the rug looked. I told him it was OK to do more cleaning of the rug as long as I got them back before Christmas. The rugs were returned on December 22, they were beautiful! They did an excellent job.
