On Time Carpet

Nathan is extremely dedicated and hard working. We had a wet basement rug that smelled like mold. It was a stubborn problem. He was thorough. Although it required him to return 2 times and treat the rug 3 times, he would not quit and did not charge extra until it was right. We also hired him to clean 2 stairway carpets. They look better than they have in many years. I will refer him to friends and family. Don't hesitate, call Nathan! Note: $375.00 for basement carpet. $200.00 for 2 stair carpets

Their services were fair. The workers were nice. Their work was not effective. They had to reschedule our appointment.

They did well but one man said he will call me and explain but he never called. The bring in a huge equipment for steam clean but for a small apartment. We need someone who can do the edges.

It went well, he was very attentive, and if there was a spot I wanted him to address more he did. He was all about customer satisfaction, and making sure I was happy.

Nathan was very responsive to my Angie's List message, and we scheduled an estimate with same-day cleaning as an option if we decided to go with his service. He gave us a 3 hour window, called to let us know when he was on his way, and arrived within the allotted time. My expectations were low and Nathan definitely exceeded them. He explained very carefully the different processes he intended to use, and assured me that he would be able to get the spots out. He got them out, and restored the carpet to a beautifully clean state. He uses some pretty heavy duty equipment and cleaning agents, and seems to definitely know what he's doing. I wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.

It was terrible. They came about two to three weeks after I purchased the deal. They did not really honor the big deal which is $225. They said that they will come out to clean the carpet and they cleaned it but they had to charge an extra and they argued with my mother. When we refused to pay them extra they poured water in the carpet. So we did not pay them anything after that. We agreed on the big deal but they wanted more money and when we refused to pay them extra they jumped dirty water in the carpet.

They were punctual, professional and did an excellent job.

Went well. On Time carpet cleaned & deodorized 3 rooms of carpeting. took about 1 1/2 hours to complete cleaning. Very professional.

He called to tell me he was runnning late due to traffic. He then called to tell me he couldn't find a parking space. I told him to park in garage of apt building. He arrived and after going back for his equipment he began. It took about 30 min I then asked him to do a small area rug as the coupon was for 4 rooms. His helper used the bathroom for a long time He then needed a Band-Aid. The rug dried stiff but was fine after it was walked on. It was hard to get in touch with him as he said he did not have my phone. I said he should have emailed me or contacted Angie's List for the info D

I'm not 100% sure on the price because it was a while ago, but I remember that it was extremely reasonable. The guys were extremely nice and accommodating - NO PRESSURE!! We had the choice to clean other areas at a very reasonable price but we chose not to clean those areas.

I bought a coupon on Angie's List. 2 guys came. They were on time and courteous. They did a reasonably good job on my very dirty carpets. There was some light furniture I think they could have moved around a bit more. There was a small narrow hallway carpet I also wanted done that connected the bedrooms. For this they charged an extra $80, which I did think was a bit excessive. Also, the lead guy had an annoying habit of complementing his own work in every other sentence! As the customer, I kind of think that's my place to do! Overall the job went well and I don't have any big complaints...but sometimes the little things count.

They did a good job on the floor area but not on the steps, which I had paid extra for. A When I complained about the steps they came back a few days later and redid them to my satisfaction.

It was a disaster from the get go. It was so bad, that we have considered dropping Angie's List altogether. First, we were under the impression that the vendors in this district of Angie's List were from Connecticut, specifically Fairfield County. These people came from Brooklyn NY. I did not find this out until the day they were coming. I couldn't fathom how a bunch of carpet cleaners from Brooklyn were going to cover their costs doing a job in Newtown for $139. The answer is they can't and we must bear some of the responsibility. My wife made the arrangements. The deal was $139 to clean all your carpets or certain amount of square feet of them. My wife did not take note of the caveat and to be fair, they were up front about it, we missed it. Nevertheless, when they arrived they told me the additional carpet cleaning would cost more. I instructed them solely to clean what was covered for $139. I pointed out two stains. They quoted me a price to remove the stains. I forgot what it was, but I thought it too high. I thanked them but said to clean what is covered by the $139 offer and no more. Naturally they were looking to upsell me for how else could they justify a trip to Newtown CT from Brooklyn NY. I kept politely declining, but they made what appeared to be an attractive counter offer. They said they would clean everything for $300. I asked, all the carpets and the stains. They said yes. While I was not happy I thought it fair. I would get the whole house clean and the stains for more than the $139 deal, but far less than their earlier quotes. What I did not realize until I agreed and the job was done, was that my wife already paid the $139 before work had begun. It wasn't $300 total, it was $300 on top of the $139 that was already paid unbeknownst to me. Look the carpets were clean. I can't say they didn't do a good job. I can say, that I could have done the same job by renting a machine at my supermarket for $100. Instead, I paid almost $500. Part of this was our fault. My wife and I did not communicate clearly, however, they were relentless in their upsell. Beware the teaser deals: If the rate seems to good to be true it probably is. Now we triple check to make sure any vendors are from Connecticut and we will no longer avail ourselves to any deal that requires any upfront payment. If you live in Brooklyn and want a good carpet cleaner go ahead and call these folks, but there is no good reason to have them come to Connecticut. They will look to sell you additional services that may or may not be of value, but you are not getting way with the $139 deal without an aggressive effort to compel you to purchase more services. Beware. By the way, I threw out my receipt in disgust. I do not remember the precise date of service but I believe it was in February or March of this year.

Took him two hours, couch came out beautiful.

Terrible service, a totla waste of money. Employees kept complaining all the time because the house was cold (I was moving), trying to sell me a new carpet or more services because they admitted themselves that the one on Angie's list was kind of useless.Will never use them again.

The provider was punctual, professional and my carpets look like brand new. I was very satisfied with their service. Recommend highly.

My experience was okay. They asked too many times for me to upgrade. I think it's okay to ask once, but they asked 3 or 4 times. I felt like my arm was being twisted. The job they did was okay, it was not great.

the cleaning was fine but the communication could have been better

He arrived on time and did a good job. He called me in to see how it was going several times and explained that a few stains would be hard to remove completely. I appreciated knowing that before the job was completed. I did feel a little uncomfortable when he took off his shoes and proceeded to work in his bare feet , walking through the house to the kitchen for water. Maybe it's me but I have never had a worker in my home remove his shoes especially with no socks ! Other than that, he was pleasant and did a good job. I would recommend them but would request he keep his shoes on !

Nathan is professional, courteous and thorough. I used his services last year and will continue each spring. Recommend him highly. His support staff is also top notch. His use of non-toxic, odorless materials is a big plus. He follows up with a phone call the following day to check on how we felt the job went.

Nathan was prompt in responding to us. His father had just died 2 days before and he was taking time to handle family business. That was understandable and he e-mailed after that and we arranged a mutually acceptable day and time. That was today between 12 noon and 3:00 p.m. He called us and said he would arrive in 25 minutes. And he and his fellow worker (Angel) arrived right on time. Big hellos with a handshake from both young men. Very pleasant, hard working young men. They started in right away in setting up their equipment and cleaning our sectional sofa. Seeing what great workers they were is when we asked about cleaning other upholstery and rugs. They all look wonderful!! We would definitely use On Time Carpet and will recommend them to neighbors.............yes, even though they are in Brooklyn, they do work in CT, too.
