Description of Work: I have used Daniel at Floating Piano twice and he is thorough to a degree I have not seen in other piano tuners. We have professional pianists playing on our piano for informal recitals and they have been most happy with his tuning. I plan to schedule him again within the next month for another recital--and that is the best compliment I can give!

Description of Work: I scheduled online appointment with Tom (very convenient) and he was here at the scheduled time to tune our piano and fix some keys that were sticking. As an apprentice tuner, he didn't have the technical expertise to resolve the sticking keys, but he worked hard and improved the action (and didn't charge for the repairs, since they weren't complete). He did a good and thorough job tuning the piano (which was badly in need of it). Our piano sounds a lot better now. At some point I'll probably contact Floating Piano to have one of the more experienced tuners come to fix the keys.

Description of Work: It was easy to make an appointment on-line, and a piano tuner emailed back promptly to confirm. When he arrived at the house, he was knowledgeable and friendly, and clearly explained all the options. A week later, a friend who is a professional keyboard player said the tuning had been well-done.

Description of Work: They dropped my services on the day they were scheduled to see me. They said I was out of their range however they knew my address when we scheduled the service.

Description of Work: Isaac, of the Floaing Piano Factory, was faced with my very elderly piano which had not been tuned or played in ten years. Patient and persevering, he brought the piano back to life. He did several repairs and tried to save a string in order to save me the expense of a new one. He replaced several hammers. He brought up the pitch and then tuned everything. It was not an easy job but you would never know that from his demeanor. A piano tuner can be in your apartment for a long time and he was very pleasant company. And an excellent piano technician.

Description of Work: Mike was great. He told me he had never seen a piano like I had bought and made me feel at ease that he would have it sounding fabulous. He definitely took great care as he worked on the piano and listened carefully while he tuned it. I was so excited when I heard him playing a bit to test it out. I haven't played in quite some time and I felt very comfortable talking with him and he also taught me how to care for the piano. I was very impressed. I would definitely recommend and use again!

Description of Work: He had to raise the pitch on the piano, so the price was higher than a simple tuning, but he told me this in advance and I was prepared for it.
