They never answered my phone messages let alone showed up. I would never work with this guy again.

They never called back. I am about to stop the payment because they are unresponsive.

Not to well,confirmed appt & they didn't show up I called was told uncle kid died so can't come. I asked if one man show why can't someone else come He stated I will check will call back. Then said be there in 1hour no show. They called said we will be there at 5:30 pm. They show up at 6:15 they filling hole with plaster no support to keep it from falling in. My husband gave them wood to put in to support the piece of sheet rock& the piece of sheet rock Then I noticed they stuffed hole with plastic bags by heat pipe . I made them to take it all out. The really don't know how to fix minor work.

AL General Construction is the best! I would Highly recommend to anyone needing anything done. it was very refreshing. They were on time, polite and got straight to work on any spot that needed it. Could ask for anything more.

The contractor never contacted me in regards to the purchase I made. I was disappointed but went ahead and did the work myself. I requested my money back from Angie's List.

The Offer was for 8hr of Services to remove Pop Corn ceilings in my Apt. To read further get a bowl of your favorite Pop Corn and enjoy the details... AL general Construction arrive 2 1/2 hours later than agreed. Of course traffic in NYC may have caused their delay. However, after 2 hours of work I was told, "We have to stop now we have another job to go to." What? I was left with no choice but to accept AL General Construction's "We Have Another Job To Go To!" The Other job was never mention when I sent payment by Paypal for the offer of services. I requested they clean up and set a return date to finish the job. I was assured they would confirm the appointment to complete the work 2 days later. Further AL General Construction Left a 6' ladder, a drop cloth on my terrace and a water pump in my apartment. When I called AL General Construction of my displeasure with the Bait-and Switch and diversion from the original Angie's list agreement I was told, Pay us direct at $50.00 per hour for three men to complete the Pop Corn Removal. Finally I put my consumer's foot down and said NO! Don not finish Pick up the equipment left in my apartment ASAP and move on! Since that conversation 2 reminder calls have been made to AL General Construction's voicemail reminding them to pick up their equipment. Their equipment remains with my buildings security Dept. I am now looking for a Pop Corn Removal contractor interested in performing the services of Pop Corn Removal as agreed!

I bought this service as a big deal. They never contacted me and would not respond to me when I tried to contact them. This was a big ripoff.

Excellent! Job was done two months ago and there is no flooding along driveway. I'm very happy. I know when winter arrives I will not have to worry about icy patches or black ice. Thanks guys!

It went very well. They were extremely good. I was very happy with them.

I asked Mia via the Angie's List messaging system if he serviced customers in the Bronx, to which he responded he did. I called him Friday, September 30, 2016 to ask about availability to start the work which is no more than 2 hours by two people and described the work in detail to him, and asked if he had any questions. He asked if the work could be reached by his ladder which extends to 20 feet and I said yes. He provided the date and time of Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 0830 to 0930 hours. On Monday, October 3, 2016 I confirmed the appointment for Tuesday, October 4, 2016 with Mia, asked if he had any questions, and he said he would be arriving at my home between 0830 to 1030 hours. On October 4th I called Mia at 1045 hours to ascertain his whereabouts. He said he would be at my home in 20 minutes. At 1123 hours he arrived with one other worker. I had prepared my home's exterior by moving everything out of the way, even allowing his coworker to use my bathroom. I didn't mention the lateness because I needed the work to be done. Mia came unprepared to do the work stating his ladder was not tall enough and after about 20 minutes upon arrival they said they would be back the next day, Wednesday, October 5th "around the same time" with a taller ladder. On the morning of October 5th, while waiting for them to arrive Mia sends me a text message at 0834 hours stating he was declining the job because he did not have the means to bring the appropriate ladder on the parkways (he could have brought scaffolding). This is unprofessional and is not simply a matter of getting a refund because I am a working person and have other appointments and responsibilities as well. Mia was on scene to assess the job site October 4th and should have told me October 4th he would not be able to proceed with the job. But instead he was late (without notice), unprepared, and failed to tell me WHILE he was at my home he did not want to or could not proceed with the job.

Wonderful job the guys were so nice and respectful and did everything promised. It was done on time and they cleaned up so nicely. I would recommend them highly. I would use them again and know I have nothing to worry about. I did check out a few others but from the first meeting I knew I was in good hands I'm very happy and thankful for choosing them.

It went well. Al came to look at the steps, we agreed on a price and a day when the work would be done. He and two other men came on time. They redid the steps neatly and efficiently.

After looking at the job Asif told me that I really didn't need the whole sidewalk redone at the time. He could just cut out the damaged section and repair that. This simple solution saved me a lot of money. The back steps are now safe and look very good. He and two workers arrived on time for the job and cleaned up well after themselves very well.

The contractors were to complete the work which I prioritized by project, repaving the and resealing the patio being the highest priority. Not only did the contractor not prioritize the patio, he left the patio exposed and undone throughout several severe rain storms causing me hundreds of dollars in water damage. The patio was completed by a subcontractor the contractor used and the sealing to this day remains done improperly still causing water to still leak to my basement. Additionally, the contractor did not show up multiple times without any notice and without any explanation causing me to lose money as I took off from work to be present at the house. There were delays and rework done on the project and the project remains undone and certainly not to my satisfactory. I even sent the contractor an e-mail a week ago indicating my frustrations and the contractor still remains unprofessional and does not communicate effectively.

First widen crack to refinish. dug up old chalk and rechalk approx. 100 ft with self leveling chalk.

In answer to a Angie's List deal of $149 for 4 hours of masonry work, AL crew arrived punctually, repaired sidewalk nicely as requested, stayed around until cement was stable. Polite, professional-- several weeks later their work looks great. With a pneumatic hammer to remove old patchwork, they did a much better job than I would have been able to do-- it was a pleasure to make their acquaintance.

AL General Construction arrived on time and did an excellent job of describing the work that they would do. They went right to work and did an excellent job of repointing all the brick work as well as replacing needed bricks. They also did a great job of cleaning up afterwards.

I have recommended them to family and friends. They did great job! They are very professional. I found the owner to be a gentleman.

Asif came and gave me a reasonable price. Started the job and finished on time. Painted my dirty rusty siding. It looks great now.
