"at least the customer was honest about the fact we were punctual. best of luck to them."
First time was to detect a leak in our shower pan, so that we can determine where the leak was, in order to get the insurance company to reimburse us for the bathroom repairs. The cost for this work was very reasonable. He basically only charged us for the dispatch fee.
The second time was for unclogging a slow draining bathtub in other second bathroom. He did a great job and now our bathroom drain works really well. The cost was $374.57 and that includes the dispatch fee, plus the Angie's list discount. I was hoping that it would be around $200, but I guess plumbing work is always more than you'd expect.
No complaints about the service provided though. Punctual, friendly, and professional. I would definitely call them for any plumbing work that I cannot do myself. We trust them, and we think they are great.
"Thank you for the review. While there are many unscrupulous people out there who do "plumbing on the side" and try to undercut a licensed professional, we strive for honesty and building a trusting relationship with our clients and we are happy it seems we have achieved that here."
"Thank you for the kind review. It was a pleasure dealing with you and your tenant. We strive to solve problems and make people's lives easier in the most effective way possible. Some customers (as this one) get that, and appreciate the extreme effort we put forth each and every day to serve our customers honestly and help them out. We look forward to working for you in the future."
"Thank you for your review and we look forward to serving you in the future."
I've used them in the past, and although they are pretty expensive, they have done quality work. I"m not sure what happened this time around, but we're going to go with another provider for fixing this issue. Like I said, they've done some really quality work for uis in the past, although very expensive, but this visit was a bust. Maybe next time.
"We have contacted the customer and explained our secretary was away and we contacted him on our next business day when we were back in the office, a day later than normal due to a hectic schedule. We apologize for the delay and will hopefully continue to work for him in the future. Thank you!"
We'd hire Warren again in a heartbeat.
"thank you for taking the time to review us and expressing your satisfaction! it was a pleasure to serve you."
"thank you for taking the time to review us. it was a pleasure serving you!"
The young man who arrived was his son, who very quickly diagnosed the problem and snaked out three sewer lines, making sure they were clear before closing them up again. An enzymatic powder was spread on the floor to destroy sewer bacteria.
All in all, in about two hours the problem was totally eradicated, efficiently and tidily.
I totally recommend this company.
"thank you for reviewing us. it was a pleasure dealing with you and thank you for noticing the little things we do differently. we go the extra step to make sure our customers are happy!"
We had a shower pan that had a leak, and the water spilled under the floors into the adjoining 2 bedrooms. This caused major water damage that required hardwood floor replacement of both of our bedrooms and gut renovation of our bathroom.
We filed a claim with our homeowner's insurance, and they were putting obstacles in our way, making it difficult for us to get the needed funds to repair the damage. Before digging up the shower pan, they wanted proof that it was the shower pan that was leaking, not some pipes, etc.
So I called the Good Plumber and Thomas came out to help us.
We also called a technician from another company that deals with water damages and had access to infrared imaging device.
Thomas filled up the shower pan and ran the water, while the technician with the infrared device looked for the source of the leak. After a while, they were able to see the leak originating from the shower pan. Mission accomplished.
Thomas from Good Plumber was great! He was professional, extremely friendly, honest, and very knowledgeable.
Their prices are reasonable, and they are very responsive. Next time we have any plumbing issues, we will call Good Plumbers before calling anyone else.
Showed up on time. Super professional, courteous, well mannered. Wore little booties over his construction boots to protect my home from dirt...which I loved. My main gripe is on the price I was charged. I was in a tough spot: House had 2 toilets. One toilet was completely clogged--second toiled was on the edge of becoming entirely unusable. This was in my elderly father's home and I needed to make sure he had at least one working bathroom. I feel that I was grossly overcharged. Bathroom had a wood floor and when they caulked the new toilet to seal it to the floor, I though the job was done a little sloppily. After a few days the caulk pulled away from the flooring and created the tiniest of gaps in a small section between base of toilet and the wood flooring surrounding waste pipe. Gap was big enough to drop a small stud earring (or even a dime) through. The issue was this: When you pay over $3000 for any type of service, you expect the execution to be flawless. I did not find it flawless. I have no doubt that if I called them back they would have re-caulked free of charge --- but I was so upset with myself that I actually paid so much money for what seemed like a pretty basic job. I didn't want to deal with the company anymore. I felt like a fool for not calling a second plumber to get a better price. Other than the sloppy caulking and the price, I think they do pretty good work. Toilets worked perfectly after they completed the job. Customer service was excellent. I didn't like the toilet seat they placed on the new toilet and they sent me a check for $30 so I could pick out my own toilet seat. My bad experience with this company may be mostly my fault---because I agreed to pay that price before they started the work. But again, I was in a tough spot.
Another thing: They plumber noticed when he was clearing the waste pipe that the home had a lead water main leading into the house. Told me the lead pipe should be replaced and it was a "$10,000 job". I eventually replaced the lead water main with a different company and the entire project cost about $3400 (which included breaking through the concrete driveway and pouring new concrete.)
"I am most sorry to hear of your issues and do appreciate your feedback. The prices we charge are a fixed national price guide and comparable with many plumbing companies in the area. Yes there are cheaper and yes there are more but we charge what we mus to remain in business and all these prices are presented to our customers up front. The issue with the floor we would have gladly come back to repair it. No one is perfect and if we are not perfect, we will make it right. Unfortunately we were not given the opportunity. A wood floor flexes unlike tile, which is most likely what happened. We actually don't use caulk, we use plaster to set the toilet on a nice secure base. As for the water main, there must have been a misunderstanding. We actually first off don't do that type of work, we simply recommend to get it done and will refer a subsurface plumbing contractor. A water main, correct, is about $3500-$5000 depending on the run and breaking, etc., not $10,000 unless it is some extreme circumstance. Thank you for your review otherwise and hope we can serve you at a later time. We tell all our customers, all the little things we do differently, having excellent technicians, etc. all affect the price. I can guarantee if we hired people at $8.00 an hour and our prices were lower...almost no one would be happy with us."
"Thank you for your kind review. Dan is one of our best technicians and I am glad he made us shine. We try our best to exceed customer's expectations on a daily basis. Hope you serve you in the future."
"thank you for your review and should you need us in the future please give us a call and we'll be more than glad to service you!"
