On the day they were scheduled to come I received a call and a text message to let me know the name of the plumber that was coming. Them the plumber called to let me know the estimated time of arrival. The plumber that came was extremely professional, before he came into the house he put on shoe covers. He took a look and told me his assessment and also gave me different scenarios and options. He also asked if there was anything else I wanted him to look at or if I had any questions or concerns. Note: there is a small fee of $59 to come and inspect, which I was made aware of when I called to schedule the appointment. I highly recommend them and will use them in the future.

After losing heat during a particularly cold week, Bill had someone at my house the same day. First, I should point out that the company itself is extremely professional. Not only did Bill work hard to get me a same day appointment, but the company send along emails and texts so that I would know not only when to expect the staff (Dan and Jose), but also who to expect with pictures to verify their identity. This was a great touch especially since I am new to the neighborhood. Dan and Jose were great, they arrived as expected and got straight to work. I expressed an interest in wanting to understand what was going on with the system and and they ran with it explaining to me exactly what they were doing and why they were doing it. They were also incredibly patient with my incessant questions. It turned out that the system needed a few parts replaced and a good cleaning. I found the cost for the parts, as well as the flat rate fee for the work, to be reasonable based on other places I called and research I had conducted. Additionally, Bill called as a follow up the next day to make sure that my heat was once again working properly and that my experience with his staff was positive. A small detail that was very much appreciated. I would absolutely call this company again for any of my plumbing needs, heat or otherwise.

They were professional, punctual, clean, very responsive and friendly, but unfortunately could not do an appropriate maintenance for my particular brand of boiler (Laars Endurance). If you have one of these, they are unfamiliar with them, so best to call a specialist instead, even for "maintenance". I have had repeated problems with it since they were here, though I can't say that this was their fault, it could certainly just be a problem that would have turned up anyway, but in calling for maintenance I was hoping to head off such problems. After some discussion the owner did agree to give me a partial refund which I very much appreciated. For other types of work and more common boilers I would recommend.

They were very responsive by email however, the ad said that the price was for Brooklyn and Queens only. Yet when they emailed me to set up an appointment, they insisted on a $59 additional trip fee; and said that they were not responsible for Angie's List mistakenly not putting that trip fee in the Big Deal ad.

I called on a Wednesday and got a call back same day. The gentleman I spoke with, Bill, explained their pricing and told me they would have a technician out the following morning (Thursday). One small issue: he said he would call me back to let me know either 8-9AM or 10-11AM. He never called back, which left me uncertain about the appointment. That said, the technician arrived (around 9AM) as promised, was very professional, very respectful of my apartment (he even removed his boots before entering), and worked efficiently to get the job done. The price tag seemed a bit excessive, especially because they charge a $60 dispatch fee just for the guy to show up, but I'm confident the work was done well and the tech was conscientious about cleaning up the work space when he was done. Great experience, pretty expensive. But as they say: You get what you pay for.

This is not the first time I used A Good Plumber.? I got them from Angie's List in 2012 and I am very satisfied with them.? They are always prompt, professional and courteous.? They also explain everything that they are doing.? I will definitely use them again.

Called for an emergency beginning at 5:30pm on a Saturday (burst pipe). The answering service said I'd get a call back within 2 hours. I called twice more and finally gave up at 10:40. It's now the next day. Never even returned the call.

We had a leak or thought we did. The dripping was not constant and seemed to stop, but I wanted a plumber to check it out nonetheless. Bill, the owner, in an excellent communicator and responded promptly to emails and calls. He was also upfront about "dispatch fee", which I am fine with. You can't have someone come out and look and not pay a dime. It turned out we did not need any leak fixed now, but our pipes are old, so that day will come. I have peace of mind. Also, it should be mentioned that these are real deal professional and licensed plumbers. Now I feel that I have a plumbing company I can call on.

Professional and trustworthy. Explained everything. Quality work. Will definitely hire again.

Was forwarned that they might have to cut away or break up part of the tile floor to get at and replace the toilets closet bend which was probably installed when the house was built in the 1920's. Jose and his assistant, sorry I did not get his name ,put in the extra time and effort in the basement to cut away the old pipe in very tight quarters and install the new closet bend without having to cutup the bathroom floor. Since that floor was installed in the late 80's the tile would have been impossible to match ,so it would have ment redoing the entire floor or try to convience the wife that it would have been a focal point, which was not going to happen. Thanks Jose for saving me a lot of money, time and work. Their clean up was better than mine usually is, so I'll have to try harder in the future. A good job all around , always.

AMAZING company! These guys are top notch, super friendly and really responsive in emergencies. They clean up after themselves and are utterly reliable. They are a little more than other plumbers I've found but whenever I try to cut corners when it comes to plumbing (especially) something always comes back to bite me in the a** and I end up paying triple in the long-run. I know when I call these guys that the job will be done really well and professionally. Also, my wife hates being home alone with guys she doesn't know and she has felt really comfortable with every single person from this company. Awesome , good guys who do solid work.

Mr. Plumber performed maintenance service on home boiler. Upon initial inspection it was discovered the the boiler's wiring and water discharge system was not adequate. The technician doing the initial inspection suggested and called in one of his wiring specialist to explain to me in details what issues he found. That technician was very knowledgeable? of the system and fully explain to me what was needed to correct the problem. Overall Mr. Plumber did an OUTSTANDING job with the repairs. All technicians were very professional and courteous. I will use this provider if the need for plumbing service is needed again in the future.

Just too costly |replaced a short pipe under basement sink ($199) and a copper fitting |($66) plus a "dispatch fee) $79. and, of course, tax. |Work took about an hour. He explained what he was doing, came on time, seemed knowledgeable.

They came out immediately and tried to help. Very professional organization.

Everything was professional, upfront, and smooth. One of the owners, Bill, worked hard to actually reach me -- each time he called I seemed to be unavailable, but he persisted in a kind way. When we finally spoke, I explained the issue. He was very upfront about how the company works, claiming himself that they weren't the least expensive but they also weren't the most expensive but that the job that actually needed to get done would be done. And that is entirely correct. I believe the technician who showed up was named Jose. Extremely professional in every way. And let me say this, I have never used any provider of this sort who left my home exactly as cleaned as when they arrived. I was amazed. I really detest haggling and shopping for "best prices." Honestly, my time is more valuable than that (as everyone's is, I think!) For me, I look for people who are honest, reliable, do the job they set out to do and stand by it. This company did that, and more.

Good Plumber is EXTREMELY professional. They are a high quality plumbing ORGANIZATION. They don't claim to be the cheapest around, which is good since they can end up pretty expensive. They use a system of grading (or flat fees) to diagnose issues and give you a straight forward price before work starts. This seems great but depending on the work, can put you in the higher flat fee bracket while falling into the low end of the actual work necessary. For my particular situation, I had a very old Boiler (1960s) that would not ignite the burners. After an onsite inspection and price quote for $770, I decided to go with another company to perform the work for substantially less. I ended up paying about 65 bucks for them to come look at the issue and provide the proposal. This charge would have been removed from the estimate if I would have went with them to complete the work. I definitely can't complain about Good Plumber's professionalism though. They were punctual, responsive and communicated issues and problems very well. In my particular case though, they misdiagnosed an issue or perhaps were just being very overly cautious on the approach to resolution. I would definitely recommend them for Tenant/Landlord type situations where you (landlord) want to remain hands off and allow the professionalism of the plumbing team to handle/coordinate with tenants but for personal plumbing, I would not want to pay for that additional overhead.

They were very professional. The service guy was very nice and he was very thorough and he went over everything and really took his time. The Big Deals that I purchased, I wish that I would have waited as I spent the $400.00 and they have to come back as I do need to get everything re-piped. They are excellent, I would definitely recommend and use them again. They stick to a list of preset prices. They have a Diamond Club which is a discount program they have that gives coupons and you get one visit to check the system out. They are very quick and I spoke with Bill Sobolow who was able to diagnose the issue and he was very knowledgeable over the phone. The experience was very good overall. They showed up on time and the guy that came Jose Ramirez called before coming to my home as well.

Found roots by 2" mark and beyond. Found collapsing of sewer line starting at 24ft. Cleared the main sewer stoppage (14 day warranty) and treated with root x. Advised that replacement would be necessary and recommended a contractor for the work. Very thorough and very professional. Took time to explain situation in all details. Very helpful in setting up our future planning for this situation.

HE DID NOTHING ! NOT EVEN A CALL BACK !!

They definitely did something. They didn't go over weekly maintenance like they had mentioned. They did try to get me to spend $400 on a water release valve for an old boiler (aka a component I didn't need at all) and wrote me up a quote for about $1400 to provide all recommended fixes on the boiler, providing nothing but vague responses for how to do so. I have little doubt that they know their stuff enough to do some legitimate work, but I'm sure you can get more bang for your buck elsewhere. Update: To A Good Plumber CorpSep 15I said "not to say they didn't know their stuff" -- you did. I believe I gave a B for quality. I went to a college where students receive as many As as Fs. I found the work was good, the price was excessive and the attitude / communication was below par. He tested the system, but he didn't go over what I should do. The $400 valve was something the technician told me directly claiming it'll be good forever before I rejected it, but he didn't take to heart that I don't plan on having this boiler much longer. He said it with a smirk of 'this guy will totally go with it'. He didn't take to heart that I don't plan on having this boiler much longer. Quoted me loosely $10k for a new boiler when a local plumber quoted me $4k . I know that major companies have overhead that small independent plumbers don't necessarily have. I also know that I could have gotten all the work done more cheaply and of comporable quality. But I got suckered into another big deal. C is average. Sorry Also, I talked with a plumber and he said that the suggestions didn't make sense to him. I'm sure he's exaggerating to an extent, but there were some pipes that needed work mostly. The boiler'll run for another few years and then be replaced most likely. No need to sink over a thousand now

A++ There are many, many reasons why I'd recommend working with this company. Most notable for me was that they were courteous and communicative. In the past I've had extremely frustrating experiences waiting around for plumbers who don't show up, or who show up hours after the time they quoted to me without having the courtesy of calling to let me know. Generally I consider myself fairly easy-going and understand that delays happen. What drives me crazy is when people don't call to let me know they're running late. With A Good Plumber Inc., the plumber ended up running about an hour later than the window he quoted me, but had the courtesy to call and let me know of that in advance. When he finished his prior job, I received a text message from him letting me know that he was on his way. When he did arrive, he was both extremely friendly and professional, and took time to explain to me every step of the process (and the price) before proceeding with the work. He completed the job in a reasonable amount of time and provided me with recommendations as to steps I could take to prevent such problems in the future. Like I said there are many reasons why I'd recommend hiring A Good Plumber Inc.! I'm very satisfied with their work.

They diagnosed the problem, discussed options objectively and did what they said they would do when they said they would do it. Called the next day to follow up.

They were fine. I don't think we would hire them again though because we were given an absolute guarantee assurance that they were going to be able to pinpoint what the problem was and then when we had someone else do it, it was very clear that it was much more complicated issue than what they had diagnosed it to be. The price was quite reasonable, it was typical. He proposed what he could do regarding the problem. He suggested that he sneak through the toilet when we clearly had a trap that he could use. He didn't do a thorough check. We weren't crazy about the suggestion that he made for us. It took him a couple of days for him to finally come because there was some sort of a problem so they had to cancel. When he came, he was prompt, he was courteous and he was professional but when I explained what I understood to be the problem and he guaranteed that if he put a camera down, he could absolutely figure out where the clog was and how he could fix it and it turned out that that was not actually going to be a viable solution. He was responsive but he just wasn't accurate. He was clear about being neat and tidy.

They showed up promptly. They're very professional. They never called back and I made several attempts to follow up and they never got back to me but they came. They just never got back to me on some bigger works.
