The Moving Man operation was spectacular from beginning to end. Theiir crew was energetic, intelligent and careful. They called to alert us to arrival times, worked quickly and cheerfully, and performed exactly as we had hoped.... Actually, BETTER than we had any right to hope.What a pleasure to deal with: on time, on budget, and done right, with no surprises. We should outsource the logistics of our foreign military operations to them.USE THESE GUYS!

Everything went perfectly from estimate to completion of services.

Very well. Great on phone, very flexible and understanding, and guys who showed up were personable and hard-working. They brought energy and attitude that I couldn't come close to matching after packing for a week.

They were punctual and got everything done very quickly.

The 1st stage of our planned move has progressed nicely. The company gave us a reasonable estimate for our complete move (1st many items into storage and a final move to St. Louis at a later date) and was accommodating in that the fixed price move will be honored past their normal time period. This was critical in that we needed the 1st move into storage to enable us to stage our home for sale, and being this is a Cooperative apartment, through to the final sale which can take up to 4 months after contract signing. We are quite happy with their service so far and will add additional comments once the 2nd and final stage of our move has been completed.

Moving Man arrived to pick up my daughters belongings in Brooklyn, carefully wrapping all the furniture before loading and then took it directly to the storage space. I was told the men were very nice, courteous and efficient. Initially I had been given a quote for a small storage space in their facility but it turned out to be too small so the company called me and said it would be an extra $10 per month for a larger unit and I told them that would be fine. At the end of May, my daughter called and scheduled everything to be delivered to her new apt. The men were to arrive between 3 and 5 pm. They actually arrived an hour early, at 2 pm, and were unable to get in touch with my daughter so they called me. I then contacted her to let her know they had arrived at the new apt. It all worked out very well and I was told that the men were very nice, fast and efficient. They brought everything up and even reassembled her bed. Would I recommend Moving Man? Absolutely. I give them an "A".

Vladimir came on Friday to give us an estimate, but the actual move happened the next Monday. Everything worked like a beautifully choreographed magic show. These men are pros. We are very happy.

They were great, friendly, clear explanations of plan, very careful.

Overall it was great. We had worried about getting our belongings safely to Florida, but we picked this company based on Angie's List recommendations and we are glad that we did.

We obtained several bids for our move. Only one firm sent a person to actually see what we had to be moved ? Jon from Moving Man. He provided us with his estimate within 24 hours of his visit. Moving Man made a follow up call, but when we told the representative we were still considering other bids, the representative was respectful. And unlike other shippers, we were not in contact with Moving Man again until we contacted them with follow up questions. Our move involved a number of twists. We had many questions about how these issues would be addressed and how much it would cost. Because of the nature of our move, which involved two interim stops along the way to Nevada and our inability to precisely identify ahead of time what was going to be picked up, pricing these extra moves was complex. But Moving Man gave us a clear explanation over the phone about how they arrived at their prices. On the day of the move, the Moving Man crew was very good. Although our cost did not depend on the actual time they took, they worked quickly and efficiently. They handled the piano very well. When it was originally moved into the apartment, a reputable company moved the piano but had lots of trouble getting it through the front door and foyer. The Moving Man crew did it easily. They also appeared very careful with their wrapping and padding of the piano. Indeed, they spent a lot more time on this than on any with any other part of the move. Moving Man was the agent for Wheaton. Unfortunately, we had a bad experience with them. Items were damaged and lost in the move. We would have liked to have a more professional response from this crew. They also damaged a corner and a wall in our new home during the move, while one of the crew could say nothing more than, "OK ? I think you've made that clear!" Since then, we have continued to have unsatisfactory communication with Wheaton. Since this is a Moving Man review and not Wheaton (whom we have also now reviewed), I will simply say that Moving Man did a good job overall but should farm out the remainder of their work to a company other then Wheaton.

I had to find a company to move a piano. Their representative was very professional and they were very good to work with. The price was incredible; they moved a 4-room apartment to three separate locations. They also put a bed together and moved some furniture in my home as well to accomodate the bed.

After reading the glowing reviews, we wanted to give " Moving Man"a try. But because of poor customer service, rude phone etiquette, red lining questions and a request for a $200 deposit to hold our moving date; right out the gate I had a very bad feeling. I mean we hand't even had an on-site estimate appointment on the books and already we were being asked to leave a deposit. Not a way to earn new clients for sure!

Truck showed up on time in AM Parking was difficult but the driver was patient and cooperative (this is Park Slope Brooklyn and parking is hard) We packed some items and left some to the movers to deal with and they were quick and efficient The move went smoothly and in just about half aday It was a 4th story walk up and they really made it look easy

They were competent, professional, and did everything right there. They were pretty expensive.

Our experience with Moving Man was, from the start, a positive one. Pricing was competitive, they were professional both in responsiveness to our questions and on the day of the move. We had a one bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side and in less than three hours, they had taken everything. A completely smooth and hassle-free process. Since we were moving our of state, Wheaton Van Lines (one of the nation's largest moving companies), handled the actual transportation and delivery to our destination. After Moving Man picked everything up from our apartment, the truck got weighed and placed in temporary storage as planned to await pickup from Wheaton. Moving Man ended up underestimating the weight of our stuff by about 1,000 pounds, but since moving company quotes are typically "will not exceed," it worked out in our favor. The original estimate of 10-14 days transit time, however, ended up being off by over two weeks. Because of a nationwide shortage of long-distance truckers, as we heard from our Wheaton driver, there was a delay in getting our stuff picked up in New York. As a result, everything was stuck at Moving Man's storage facility for almost two weeks before it even started moving west. There was a bit of back and forth with Moving Man and Wheaton to find out what was going on and why there was a delay. The Wheaton driver who had transported everything west for us was great; he was professional, efficient, and informative about some of the issues that all nationwide movers are dealing with these days. His honesty was refreshing, as Wheaton really never owned up to why there was a delay. In the end, we got what amounted to a 10% deduction in overall moving cost because of the delayed delivery. All in all, I'd definitely recommend Moving Man to anyone making a inter-city move in the NYC area. They were great. If moving from NYC elsewhere, however, I would try and get as much clarity as possible regarding transit time so that you're not left without your stuff for an extended period of time.

They came on wednesday april 25th, at the agreed upon time, packed 90% of our belongings, then came back the 26th and moved us. When we got to NJ, they unpacked most of our belongings. They were prompt, thorough, and good natured. Nothing was broken. Everything was efficiently done and well packed. I have had a number of unpleasant moving experiences in the past and this was far and away the best experience I have had to date.

My husband and I moved to our new condo almost two years ago. These guys were awesome. They were on time and worked diligently all day. They took excellent care of all of out furniture, including two LCD TVs, a surround sound system, and two large reclining sofas. They even took care of our crappy Ikea furniture that we were gonna throw out in the near future, wrapping it securely in moving blankets. I would recommend these guys to anyone and would definitely use them again.

The crew arrived at our co-op promptly on the scheduled date and quickly and efficiently moved all of our items out of the apt. They had a system that allowed them to work carefully and diligently. We had done most of the packing to save on time and cost. In the end, the actual cost of the move was about $100 less than the estimate. They took our items to their storage facility in Manhattan, and a couple of months later, they moved everything into our new house. It was the same crew, which was nice. I was extremely impressed by the care they took to move the items to the 2nd and 3rd floors via fairly narrow staircases. There was not one scratch or scuff on the new paint!! Again, they worked so quickly that we saved about $100. Also, all of the items they stored were in good condition. My one complaint has more to do with the high cost of the storage facility. One of the reasons we opted to go with Moving Man was because of a promotional free month of storage. The storage fee was something like $350/month, which was high. Still, we figured that with the free month, that would make more comparable to a self-storage facility. What I didn't realize (though it was on the paperwork--just didn't register at the time), was that there was a hefty loading/unloading fee for the warehouse (about $200). In the end, the free month didn't feel so "free." That said, I was so satisfied with the entire move that I don't regret going with Moving Man. I would absolutely recommend their moving services, even if the storage fees are on the higher end.

It went pretty well. They didn't break or wreck anything.

Timely on getting quote and estimate, date setting at origin. Completely underestimated the time to pack - estimated 4 hours for a 1 bedroom apartment. Actually took 4 guys over 8 hours. Very professional - just took twice as long as they said. At destination - estimated arrival was 10am - did not arrive until 12:30 due to lack of local crew arriving. Since they didn't unpack - I was disappointed to discover after they left, broken glass from a large framed print. This had to have broken at the origin because there was no glass in the box - would have been nice if they had mentioned it instead of just boxing it up. $100 to get reframed. Other than the frame - furniture handled with care and wrapped extremely well. Kelby (foreman) very nice and professional he was manager on the crew at my origin and at my destination. From what I have heard of other's experiences - this move - aside from the delays - was quite good.

They seemed to be very professional. The price was a little high.

The experience went very well. There is very little I would ask/require them to have done differently.
