Friendly team, professional - knew what they were doing - great customer service, also took care of possessions.

They were very careful. I don't think there was any breakage from the move at all. It took them a little longer to complete the move than I think they thought they would. We had to kind to get an extension of the elevator time of the building that we were moving in to. It didn't cost us any additional money, it was just a little stressful knowing we were kind of pushing the limits. They worked it out and it was good.

I found the advance person to be very professional. I found the office staff to be helpful when I called with questions. I found the moving team to be a mixed picture--at times, the boss of the team was impatient with the whole process. He did forget and left some items in a closet. He was friendlier the second day than the first. I would have appreciated that the first day, as well. There was one item missing, but we're not going to claim it because it would be too much paperwork. Also, there was some paint scraped off the front door and in the front hallway. Initially, the head guy denied it could have been done by his men, but reluctantly agreed. Their price, however, was better than other estimates.

He was by far the best. His prices were the most competitive and he had a storage unit which seemed very convenient in New York. He seemed to be very knowledgeable about protecting my furniture against breakage and bugs. He was great. He was very prompt. We had an appointment at 10:00 a.m. he was over at 10:00 a.m. He sent me back a list the next day like he was supposed to.

Except for traffic ( which no one can help), the entire move was as good as could be expected! Excellent efficiency.

Everything went well. Traffic restrictions delayed the move a bit, but the end result was perfect.

They picked up in Staten Island NY and made two stops in Westchester County to drop off furniture. The experience with Moving Men was great from beginning to end. They were responsive, on time, reasonably priced and extremely professional. My furniture arrived in perfect condition. I would definitely recommend them.

3 guys show up an hour and a half late (10am): Jose, Giovany, and Carlos. Jose disappears for a while. Two hours later, Giovany says he has to go (he's only being paid until noon). But in the meantime, Giovany has packed stuff randomly and not labeled (or let me label) anything so now we don't know what's in the boxes. The guys take 1 1/2 hrs to get to LI near JFK. So, they get there at 6pm. At that point, they're really in a rush to be done. I didn't ask them to unpack anything in Manhattan and the only things they unpacked and assembled were the bed and the TV. They "don't do electronic work" because they don't know that stuff. Yeah, nobody saw when Giovany disconnected all the cables from the TV/stereo either. Carlos did do a good job packing the glasses and dishes. No damages there. And they did disassemble an old bed to put up the new one, but they made faces about it. And considering that they didn't have to unpack anything else, they couldn't complain. Not sure how I faired compared to other companies and I tipped generously (esp. Giovany for just 2 hrs--I was sorry about that later), but I didn't feel so great about things after the fact. The estimate was $900. I paid $1100.

If there was an Olympics of Moving Companies, these guys would get the gold medal. I just can't fault them. You don't need to look any further for a moving company. I was instilled with confidence from the moment that Jon Stout, the manager, insisted on coming to look at my apartment and belongings to ensure a watertight estimate. Jon came: punctual, smart, focused. The whole estimate took less than 10 minutes. And the price was very reasonable compared to others. Because I contacted them through Angie's List, I was given free boxes for my move which were delivered 3 weeks before to give me plenty of time to pack and plan. A significant cost-saving right there. On the morning of the move, Jose and his team arrived punctually. Before they did anything, they came and introduced themselves to me; they were polite and friendly and assured me that they'd take good care of my belongings. Again, I was instilled with confidence because of their professionalism. These guys earned their money. They were fast, focused, and efficient. I lived in a difficult co-op and there wasn't a mark on the walls or the flooring when they finished; they were so careful. They checked the apartment conscientiously before they left...And through it all, they were so pleasant. At the new apartment, it was just as efficient. They didn't dump my belongings anywhere; they asked where I wanted them. And when they saw me looking at the desk in the corner of the room, wondering if it was in the right place, they cheerfully offered to move it to try it in different places...I really appreciated that. Before they finished, I was already thinking what value for money I had got, and then Jose told me that they had finished the job UNDER the estimated time, so I actually paid LESS than I thought I would...so I was very happy to give the extra money to the guys in tips because they put in 120% effort. Look no further; Moving Man Inc is your next moving company.

Dispatcher never confirmed start time which was very frustrating, but the movers themselves worked hard and took extremely good care of my stuff.

They were pretty good but it was a little bit more above the estimate than what I wanted. It ended up taking longer and there was more traffic so it was higher. The workers also misunderstood the exit signs. They went two exits out of the way. It was 45 minutes to an hour that I had to pay for. I let it go because I didn't want to get the guys in trouble. The estimate was truly an estimate. The workers did a good job. They were organized and professional. They were clean. It was just the price was a little higher than I expected. They were an hour late so there was more traffic because it was the Friday before Memorial Day. They were very professional. I would possibly use them again but I would look at others.
