When I last used Moving Man over a year ago, I didn't fully appreciate how efficient and professional they are -- until I used another Angie's List moving company. I had used other moving companies that handled my moves within Europe and back to the US, and Moving Man was on par with those firms. When I had to move out (again) very last minute to accommodate renovations, MM was busy and couldn't help me so I went to another company (SM). Although MM was slightly more per hour, the other company was disorganized and inefficient, using inexperienced movers, and the whole process cost much more. With MM I never encountered surprise hidden charges that jack up the price of the service. I would definitely use MM again, and wish I could have this last time!

Jose and his team were great. Fast, but very careful with our vintage furniture. If we ever move again we will use Moving Man again.

Fantastic movers. This was the least stressful and most professional moving experience my husband and I have had in our 20 years in NYC. Punctual, professional, handled our valuables with TLC and they were quick. If we ever move again, we'll call on Moving Man.

I emailed the provider through angie's list asking about a piano move. After a day I got a response that was clearly a form email (complete with "mm/dd/yyyy" embedded in the message instead of a real date) that did not even remotely address anything I wrote in the original message. If you don't want to answer questions via angie's list 'message a provider' option, just don't allow it through the site. Don't send something that looks like a blanket auto-reply.

The 7 man team arrived early and started the work on time at 9:00am. Everyone was friendly, professional and efficient. They were very conscientious about packing, especially the china and other fragile items. They were efficient, and packed 3 bedrooms, an office, a living room, a dining room and a kitchen in just under three hours. After a brief break for lunch, they moved all the boxes and furnitutre, and a piano) down a flight of stairs into two trucks. At the storage facility they packed the contents very efficiently, maximizing the space available. The entire job took approximately 6 1/2 hours, and they ended at 4:00pm. I am very pleased with the service, recommend them highly, and plan to use them again when moving my items back from storage.

They were reasonably priced and nice.

From the time they came to give me an estimate for the work, through the actual move and during the final set up in the new location, they were terrific. Completely professional in their approach and their estimate / final result was right on track (the final bill was actually lower) due to the fact that the move was completed ahead of schedule. The moving crew (6 men wrapping, packing and moving) and 2 drivers watching the two trucks were wonderful. They were competent, professional, careful and very quick. They explained the entire process and once the paperwork was completed, they proceeded to make the move as effortless (on our part) as possible. Once we arrived at the new location, they placed the furniture exactly where it was intended and even though there were some last minute revisions (i.e.".... we think that desk should go over there" or "...perhaps the double filing cabinet should be two feet over", etc) they did everything to accommodate us. [Moving can be very stressful] but I have to say this was painless. I had originally selected this company as a result of their previous record with Angie's List and I wasn't disappointed. Take a big bow.

I contacted this company for an estimate for my move, based on all the excellent reviews on Angie's List. Last week I scheduled an appointment for an on-site estimate today for a move later this month. I wasn't told who was coming and no one called yesterday or today to confirm the appointment. Jon showed up, very stiff and unfriendly, which gave me a bit of a creepy feeling right away. He walked in to my studio apartment, confirmed the date of the move, and proceeded to walk around, opening my dresser drawers, closets, cabinets, without asking my permission. After a few minutes of this I told him I was feeling very uncomfortable and this felt very intrusive. (I've had two other movers here before him and neither of them opened any of my personal space.) The thing that was most creepy was having him open my dresser drawers and closets, but even opening every single kitchen cabinet felt unnecessary and intrusive. I told him it was disrespectful to open my private personal drawers and closets without even asking me. He said, "You're right. Well we're not available on the date you want." I quickly escorted him out. Very creepy experience.

Everything was handled flawlessly! Even with pouring rain, the guys scrambled to ensure furniture did not get wet.

Above and beyond?can't ask for more than that. Everyone was handled in a professional manner and the work was performed without a single problem.

Excellent. Preliminary phone calls handled professionally. Vladimir came to my duplex to provide an estimate. He was punctual, professional and provided lots of information and an impressive folder of literature. His estimate was reasonable and he explained exactly which factors could potentially increase or decrease the estimated cost. A team of four movers showed up right on time and all were friendly, good-humored and very hard working. The final cost is largely based on time, but they worked quickly - they moved very fast! They wrapped and protected furniture and delicate items very well. I had some very large, heavy and hard-to-move items upstairs that had to be moved down a narrow staircase to the first floor. They did not grumble or complain at all - again, they were professionals (thanks guys). The final price was about 20% LESS THAN the estimate - largely because I did all the packing and even wrapped some furniture, TV and non-boxable items myself, so they finished earlier than expected and passed the savings on to me. They were great -- an A+ moving company.

The men showed up on time the day of the move. The foreman was not who we requested and were told would move us. Despite that, things started out fine. The men were courteous, professional and efficient. However, during the move, many items were scratched or otherwise received mild damage. One expensive item in particular was damaged more significantly and taken back by the movers for repair at no cost to us. It was returned to us with a reasonable repair after after two months, though with some new damage which the manager offered to fix. After that, it took another six months for the company to return the item to us, and only after unreturned phone calls, unreturned emails, contact with the parent company, and a letter. The quality of the moving service was fair in my opinion; though they company management fails for responsiveness.

Came just slightly late but very helpful and eager to assist. They disassembled and reassembled at new address. Gave assistance without complaint. Very courteous. Price was just under quote. Hopefully will not to need to move again.

Moving Man Inc. is incredible! I will never use another moving service again. I've used many moving services in the past and NONE were as cooperative, prompt, professional, or efficient as the guys from Moving Man. I especially appreciate the booklet with all the movers names and pictures! Each of them was so polite. I felt very comfortable having them handle my belongings. They were careful with everything that might be considered fragile and used an appropriate amount of protective wrapping. Not one thing was broken! Not one thing was lost! Pretty much everything was placed in the new apartment where it was in the old apartment. It was like a dream! Best of all, they worked with me to agree on a price that was feasible for me being that I'm a senior citizen. Moving is already so stressful, do yourself a favor and use these guys so things can run smoothly!

Excellent ! We were truly happy with the service provided by Moving Man Inc. We found them on Angie's List. Their Customer Service and Price were the best as compared to the other providers , also picked from Angie's List. Jon was very courteous and gave us an on-site estimate. Eric went out of his way to accommodate the changes in our dates of moving. The moving crew was very careful with the furniture and the house in both the places. We appreciate the excellent service and would like to acknowledge the smooth and tension free service they have provided. Thank You.

Once they arrived, they got everything together & was ready to go. Unfortunately, our freight elevator went out & they found alternative ways to get our items downstairs. They even waited around to bring the last of the items downstairs. Overall, they were great & patient to make sure the job got done. They had to be here longer than they should have because of the elevator, but didn't complain just waited it out & asked if we needed help with anything else.

When I called, Jon came up from the city and gave me a quote. It was part of a package that not only had information about the move, but showed the breakdown such as the number of movers, the hours they would work, number of boxes I would get, etc. I was impressed not only by this, but his quote was about 1200.00 less than the competitor I called (who just emailed with a flat rate). Two days later, he stopped by with all the boxes and I confirmed the date and time we expected them to show up. The day of the move, they were supposed to be there at 9. At 10, I was getting nervous and called. The person on the phone put me on hold, then came back and said the crew was on their way. About 1 ½ hours later, they showed up. Now, I was becoming panicked and started moving the boxes downstairs so they could get everything done in the one day. I have to say that Alan, the crew leader put me completely at ease. He assured me they would get it all done that day. And, boy, from this point on, I could not have asked for a better experience. They were fantastic. I would use words like efficient, professional, and, at all time, upbeat. Within 1 ½ hours, all of my belonging were on a truck. They went through and made sure the items that I did not pack (like the mattresses, big screen tv) were wrapped and boxed properly. I was amazed. Once loaded up, they told us they were taking a quick lunch and would meet us at the new apartment. We got in the car and high-tailed it into the city. Once there, I was asked by the super to make sure the floor in the lobby was protected and they did not overload the elevator. When they go there, they put paper down in the lobby and were careful with the elevator. As they brought up the dollies of boxes, they would start in one room and we would direct them into each room to deposit the stuff. When they finished, they were 1 hour ahead of schedule and it actually cost 200.00 less than quoted. I was a very happy camper. I cannot recommend them more highly. But, I would tell you to call the day before and confirm the date -- just in case. I will definitely use them next time.

MM was very professional from estimate to move date. The crew was efficient and very careful packing fragile items.
