Robert was very responsive and fixed the problem to my satisfaction.

Not well. The technician kept saying that either the drain was clogged, or the dishwasher needed a new motor. I've had dishwashers since 1968, and even though things went wrong (and not draining was pretty common) none of them ever needed a new motor, especially after 5 years. he left (and told me he'd only charge me $120), with the drain only partially fixed. I'll soon call someone else.

AV Appliance informed me they would send us a mechanic before 3pm; he appeared on time, and told us what was needed to fix the refrigerator. It needed a new control board, and he told us he could have one ready to install by the next day. (He even cleaned the area behind the refrigerator when he pulled it out from the wall.) He returned on time the next day, as promised, and installed the board, guaranteeing it for one year. Told us to call immediately if we had any further problems.

I never got the work done. They were supposed to come between 10:00am and 1:00pm. just about 1 pm I called to find out where they were. "oh.... yeah..... um..... we're running a little late" was the response. "can he come about 2:00?" i said no. I had a conflict at that time and I didn't trust this company to show up. They didn't even call to say, hey, we're running late.

Victor called within hours of my original voicemail and offered to come same-day. He gave us a three-hour window and came a few minutes before the window. He fixed the freezer; quick and easy. Phew! My husband says Victor was a lovely guy; obviously competent! The price wasn't cheap, but I have no idea if it was on-target or not. We will definitely use them again. Easy to work with; fast; competent.

Contractor came out and replaced defrost heater. This worked for a while, but when we came back from a trip, the refrigerator once again wasn't working properly. I called AV and spoke to someone to tell them what was happening and they said they would call back the next day. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't heard back.

It went very well. The entire service call lasted 30 minutes as Robert quickly diagnosed an imperfect magnetic seal likely due to the door being in a bad position. He adjusted the door's position and removed the accumulated ice from inside the refrigerator. He also vacuumed under the unit, to help it continue to run effectively. My one small concern was that he arrived near the end of his stated service window, without a call, email, etc., which had led me to suspect he wasn't coming at all, but I was obviously mistaken. Still, with such a relatively late arrival in the cards, I'd have liked to know that's what he was expecting to do. (Aside: When I told him while making the appointment that I couldn't be there until an hour into the weekday evening service window that he suggested, he graciously offered to have the window begin, instead, when I told him I could be there, instead of, say, nixing the entire call all together.) I can't promise how often this would happen with others, but he ended up charging me just for the service call's initial amount (the "diagnostic") for this visit, which was very nice of him to do.

Friendly service; turns out I need my washer replaced completely, he showed me what was wrong & why it couldn't be fixed :/ They were able to come to me in NJ the day after I called; would recommend & use their service again.

AV Appliance Service did a fantastic job. I called on July 4th, expecting to leave a voicemail. Instead, a live person answered the phone and dispatched a repairman who arrived in my apartment an hour or so later. No holiday service charge either. My dryer had been making loud noises. The two technicians quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem, and then cleaned up after themselves. They did a fantastic job and I would definitely used them again.

Technician came at the time scheduled and perform the service as expected, all good beside the price which was extremely expensive for 30 minutes work and a replacements of a thermostat - $320!

I called in the am, Robert came in th afternoon, had the necessary part with him, and, presto, fixed it! I still can't believe how easy he made the whole process.

After speaking with a representative the technician responded within 8 hrs. I explained the problem exactly to Victor, he was able to diagnose the gas leak on my commercial oven & broiler was due to the electronic ignitions on both, they had to be replaced. The appointment was set for the next day, the window between 1200-1400. At 1000 I received a missed call from a different appliance repair company. I saw this missed call at 1345 & called AV appliance to confirm my appointment. At this time I was told the technician is running late and will arrive within 45 min. he did. A little less than an hour both parts were replaced.Victor was very knowledgeable and a great professional my concerns the cost ( which maybe justified as a commercial range ) and how did the second appliance repair company receive my number after I researched and committed to AV repair ,Angie's List ?

I was going to give him a B, but the owner resolved the issue to my satisfaction.

I had a broken air conditioner making a terrible noise and not cooling. I called Robert and described the issue in detail. Less than 24 hours after I called, Robert sent out a tech to my home, he took his time to diagnose the issue, and it's working perfectly and quietly - maybe better than ever! Thank you.

Very impressed that I called on a Saturday (after checking five other places that weren't open), a real person picked up the phone, got my info, and said he would call back. And then...he DID call back! In less than ten minutes. Very nice. And said he could have a tech out to my place within a couple hours, probably--and he'd call if that wasn't the case... and then a tech came out to my place, right on schedule...ID'd the problem, went right to work, tipped the machine up, drained it, laid down on the floor, pulled out a broken pump, explained it to me, and put in a new one. Bang, fast. I didn't even ask to use my Angie's List coupon, I was so happy to have something done so well and so fast. In conclusion: they did what they said they would do, and exceeded expectations.

Robert came to our apartment as scheduled, diagnosed problem and made an adjustment to our refrigerator to correct a mistake made by another company. Immediately worked better but suggested a new thermostat and freeon and now unit is running very well. Older unit I thought I would have to replace but hopefully it now has a new long life. Professional, courteous and followed up with me the next day to see how machine was working.

Robert from AV Appliance was great. Did the job quickly and professionally.

Victor called me within hours of calling his office and came in the afternoon to assess my broken ice machine and my stackable washer/dryer banging issue. Unfortunately (to no fault of Victors) the ice machines line was copper and to what he could see without ripping out my floors or ceiling to find the water line, the copper had corroded. I am going to live without an ice maker. Victor was able to fix the banging noise of my washer by replacing the three springs and making the bowl even. I am very happy I was able to fix the washer and not have to purchase a new one. Thank you!

I called about 20 min before the end of the service window just to make sure they were coming. The guy on the phone assured me someone would be there within minutes. No one showed. I called 5 min after the end of the window had ended and they said they'd find out where he was and call me back. No one called me back. I called again 30 min after the end of the window and they guy said he'd call back (again). I then got a call from the service person a few minutes later apologizing and saying he was around the corner. The service guy was nice and personable, but changed his story a few times from "your microwave is fine-- it just needs a new rotary motor & light" to "your [whatever that important part is] is dying and you need a new microwave." He wasn't sneaky or trying to get away with anything but he was very casual and seemed young and I didn't feel super-confident that I was getting the best assessment of the situation. Further, he had to call the company to get any story about costs. Perhaps the biggest bummer of all was that the company just didn't take care of me?even if I'd bought a new microwave from them they were NOT willing to deduct the $81 I was spending for the service guy to show up (late). I think they were charging me $81 no matter what path I chose with them, which seemed very uncool. Again, I did not feel swindled, but the lateness and not being taken care of with the service charge was weak.

Two servicemen came on time, assessed the problem, had the part with them and fixed it in a little over an hour. Ice had to be melted out of the framework, so it took a little time. They were neat, polite, responsive, and clean. I would definitely use them again.

Appointment scheduled for day after my call. Repairman arrived toward end of scheduled time, but within promised time slot. His diagnosis: defective motor. Suggested that we buy a new machine, and offered recommendations. It's an old machine; I'm not surprised. Charge: $80 for service call.

Went very well. They were prompt, professional, courteous, knowledgeable, clean and neat, overall a very easy process from start to finish. My fridge is working again in no time at all.

Robert sent Victor a few days after our initial phone call. He came right on time. He first looked at the dryer, found an easy fix (reattaching a plastic baffle with a longer screw)- working great now. He then looked at the dishwasher, which was physically unsteady, and making a loud noise at start of cycle. He wasn't able to do anything about it (short of asking me how much a new dishwasher would cost), and suggested that better the owner (Robert) come take a look at it. So he didn't charge for the dishwasher, but I felt he overcharged for the dryer. After that, Robert never called to schedule a follow up visit for the dishwasher, and the problem got worse (reading an error message, water not draining, and leaking). I contacted someone else through Angie's list who came that same day and fixed all issues!
