Provider did a fine job and exceeded expectations for the price.

Fantastic in all respects. Easy to contact, arrived on time, did great job, and gave great advice.

We called them Monday,July 15th to make contact. An answering machine took our message. No one called back. We called again on Wednesday, the 17th. An appointment was made for Saturday, the 20th. On the 20th, no one came and no one called. We just assumed they weren't interested in our business.

They were able to accommodate arriving before work in a 7-9 AM timeframe. They came a few days after my initial call and within moments of arriving the repairman listened to the machine and said it needs a new blower. AND he had one with him - I told them previously it was a Maytag so he had a replacement to fit with him! Quickly took the machine apart, vacuumed it out thoroughly and put in the replacement part. Can't even remember when the dryer sounded so quiet! GREAT, quick, efficient repair! Thank you! I'll be using them next to fix my refrigerator door alignment and to do the coupon refrigerator cleaning job.

They called me soon after I bought the Deal and it soon became apparent that they can't help me because they are in the Bronx, New York, an I'm in Durham, North Carolina. He had a sense of humor that came out at that point, which I appreciated, but we didn't talk business after that.

The repairman showed up on time. He explained beforehand that the visit itself would cost $80. Parts and labor would be extra. After looking at the refrigerator, he found that the fan needed to be replaced. His first quote was $235. When I balked, he offered to replace it for $220. Finally, I talked him down to $200 plus tax. The actual labor took twenty minutes, and the refrigerator has worked well ever since. Still, it's clear that the original quote was inflated. Be sure to bargain.

There was a 2 technician team that came to my home. One individual did the tune up and the other did the cleaning. They were very polite and professional. They answered all questions and repaired our wine cooler as well. It was very satisfactory experience.

We were not able to be there during a heat wave, but needed new ac replaced before we returned to city, Robert and AV appliances worked with us and the super to get ac installed and old one picked before our return. New ac is wonderful, apt is cool and comfortable thanks to them!

the work was completed on a yacht docked in NYC. Very need and clean with a good personality. I felt very confident in his ability and he came on a short notice and was very accommodating with my schedule. He explained everything in simple terms and gave me everything in writing what needed to be ordered. This was the first time I felt like the repair service cared about the customer.

My refrigerator was not cooling properly made an appointment with GE to come out and do the service they wanted to charge $125.00 to come out plus parts and labor as my product is out of warranty. Agreed to pay but they could not send anyone before a week so I cancelled my appointment with GE and called AV Appliance Service. They gave me an appointment the next day, the person that came very professional. Checked the computer and told me it was working fine with saved me $300.00 and all it needed was to be cleaned. Very satisfied with my service.

The service was fine. They cleaned up after themselves. They were very good. He even checked my wine cooler for me without charging me for that.

Quick diagnosis and came with the proper part to do the repair immediately. The job was completed quickly and the men were professional and courteous. The refrigerator has been working beautifully ever since. I would happily recommend this company.

The technician's name was Robert. I did not notice when I bought the Big Deal, and he sort of grunted, but still came out to do the work. I paid him an extra $30 for the repair work. He said my motor for the ice dispenser had gone bad and said it was an extra $350, to repair it, but we may just get another refrigerator.

The provider contacted US -- we didn't have to go the trouble even of making a phone call. The guy came the same afternoon he called, which was Memorial Day (fine with us -- we were home). He cleaned all of the inside surfaces of the fridge and also vacuumed the disgusting dust and grease off the important electric coils on the bottom that actually make the fridge work. Great job from start to finish.

Robert saved my wife and me the trouble and expense of having to buy a new refrigerator. Ours suddenly stopped working in the afternoon of July 3. I hoped it would somehow return to normal, but when it was still not working the next morning I called several refrigerator repair companies on Angies's List and left messages for them; I suppose they were not in, as it was the July 4th holiday after all. I realized then that I had made a big mistake by waiting overnight instead of trying to reach a repair person the day before. I had almost given up hope of reaching anyone on July 4, but when I tried AV Appliance Service Robert answered the phone and told me he could come to our home that very afternoon. He did so and then quickly diagnosed the problem, a defective main board. He showed me parts of the main board that looked singed. As soon as Robert replaced the main board, our refrigerator began working again. Thereafter, he inspected the refrigerator's condenser coils and encountered the dust I had neglected to remove. While cleaning the coils, he explained to me that it was important for me to clean them myself on a regular basis, at least once a year. He said that the dust that had built up on these coils may have contributed to the overheating and burnout of the main board. So Robert not only fixed the problem, he showed me what I must do to try to prevent its recurrence.

It went very good and the repairman was very nice. He tried to schedule the appointment as early as possible. I was satisfied with his work. I thought it went well. It took them just a couple of days to come out. There were no extra charges. I would recommend them. I will use them again.

When I first called AV Appliance Service after I bought the Big Deal, they said I was too far away. Then they said they would do it. Then they sent me an email, saying that they had to pay a percentage to Angie's List and they wanted me to pay them the amount and not do it through Angie's List, just refund the amount I paid on Angie's List. They were kind of shady. I did have them come, because I already paid for it. They did an okay job. They said they would clean out the refrigerator and they did okay, not great. They missed a few things. They were not terribly prompt. He came and pulled out the refrigerator to see if it needed to be cleaned.

It went wonderfully well. Robert was punctual. He went "above and beyond the call of duty" in his services. My refrigerator had not been moved in over 10 years, so it was filthy behind and around the refrigerator. As I am age 74 and frail, he helped me clear out the junk and was patient while I cleaned the walls around the unit and the floor underneath. He diagnosed low Freon and supplied it right away. He was thorough in his work and very professional. Also, he is an excellent communicator, able to advise me on how to maintain my refrigerator for optimal efficiency. I am very happy with my clean refrigerator.

He didn't try to give us any solution. I'm not impressed with the service.

I had two problems: 1) Refrigerator wasn't keeping food very cold. 2) Air conditioner kept blowing a fuse every time it was turned on. Provider did a very good job on problem #2 -- the air conditioner no longer blows a fuse, at least so far. He wasn't so successful with problem #1 -- the refrigerator didn't get any better and I decided to buy a new one. That might not be his fault. It's a very old refrigerator, and maybe its time has come. Still, after paying $180 to fix the refrigerator, I was disappointed. Also, I was concerned that when the provider needed a grounded outlet that wasn't near the refrigerator, he had to drag the refrigerator over to the outlet. It would had been better if he carried an adapter. I must say that the provider was very polite and attentive.

They diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed the issues in one visit. The second time they ordered a part and called two days later to schedule the repair, weeks better than our former provider.
