AV Appliance Service

I am very satisfied with AV Appliance Service and would use them again. I bought a $30 voucher for oven repair diagnostic. Total repair was completed in less than 30 minutes.

We were out of town but needed unit replaced before we returned, they came evaluated old unit, condenser was shot, which was what our super said when he looked at it. They got, installed new unit before we returned and took away old unit. They were prompt, professional and a real lifesaver. Price was reasonable and inline with PC Richards and they would not do the work unless we were present in the apt.

They did a good job. We only use electronic appliances unlike the old ones which just kept on going. The new, fancier ones are more sensitive. He gave me an estimate, we agreed to it then he did it. It seems that it still works, there’s another problem with our stove, another sensitive issue. The convection thing, the fan doesn’t go off unless you turn in off, set the timer and put it on the non-convection thing for 10 minutes.

It worked out very well. Eddie came and looked at it. He accessed what I needed and came back with the part. He fixed it and I was very pleased. They came when they said they would. He was very friendly and he knew his business. It went very smoothly. I had no issues with him at all. I called and they made the appointment. They came and did the job within ten days of the big deal purchase. The price didn't seem to be outrageous.

I called on a Thursday . They answered promptly and were able to give us an appointment for the next day. We had an old stove that we do not use that occasionally gave off a faint smell of gas. We wanted to have it turned off. The man who came was extremely prompt, calling me half an hour before to let me know that he was on his way, and then arriving promptly. He assessed the situation. Turned off the gas and left. It was not a complicated task but I appreciated the promptness and professionalism. I would definitely use them again. With our second use of them they were again extremely prompt - a call on Thursday led to a visit on Friday. Our tenant had a refrigerator that was leaking. They came, diagnosed it fixed it and left. Again, promptness and professionalism. I would definitely use them again

Unfortunately, the gasket repair did not work. Robert offered to refund $100 for the gasket cover, this was on January 15, 2014. I have reached out to him a few times and finally today 3/20/14 he has informed me that I will receive it no later than by the end of next week. I will edit this review then to confirm that he has indeed honored his word. . Yes, I did receive the $100 as a check from the manager during the last week of March. I was satisfied with Robert's resolution of the issue.

She was very happy with the service. He came. He fixed her refrigerator. He was very nice. He gave me a paper indicating how I could test the stove myself. That was fine. He was dressed professionally; no uniform but he was dressed professionally. He was very prompt.

Repair person was a GE repairman on leave from his job. He really knew his GE appliances, was patient with the trainee, & responsive to my questions. Also respectful to me personally & to my property. I don't know how long he'll be with the service company but they should keep him forever!

The thermostat on our 12 yeear old refrigerator stopped working. We contacted AV Appliance, and Robert replied quickly nad set up an appointment within 24-48 hours. He defrosted the rear grid of the refrigerator, and replaced a thermostat component. This was done quickly and efficiently.

Service performed in a timely and reasonable fashion.

They emailed me saying that they were unable to honor the deal.

Neatly. Also, I wasn't worried about the part, because they have a warehouse and a courier service, so that you get the part anyway even if they don't have it on the truck. Really pleased with them.

I sent them a picture of the part (a gasket) that needed to be replaced. They called me when the part was in and scheduled an appointment. The technician arrived and was finished in 20minutes

They were great. They were nice; they came in and took care of what they had to. The guy was honest and I think they were very good. I chose them because the Angie's List e-mail came through and it seemed like a good idea and I grabbed it. I would make a high recommendation for them. The quality of service was good. I have no complaints.

I had had a bad experience in the past with another authorized service company. I would definitely use AV again.

It was generally satisfactory but we opted to use another repair elsewhere. They didn't show up and they didn't seem to be...I don't remember because it was my husband who dealt with them. I don't remember what they will fix but I think it was the refrigerator or the dishwasher. I think it was the dishwasher since we were having problems with our dishwasher at that time.

13 AV Appliance Service was excellent. The technician was prompt, quick and efficient. I had a water drainage problem with one of my air conditioners that was beginning to cause a major problem to the wall that supports the unit. Despite my efforts I could not stop the water from draining in my house. Obviously the technician knew exactly where to look and unclogged air conditioner almost immediately. Thank you AV Appliance!

It went well. I think I got an Angie's list discount. It was quick, easy, and painless. The repair person was very nice and very efficient. This was AFTER I had contacted the official GE repair site. They sent a person, I paid the requisite amount, he vacuumed the refrigerator, and told me to wait a day to see if that fixed the problem. He also gave me a number to reach him in case it didn't. It didn't. And I could not reach him at the number he gave me. WARNING: The GE repair service doesn't work. This business is a much better, less expensive, more responsive way to go.

He looked at and within a half hour he knew exactly what was wrong. He had to come back to do the work but he took only about an hour to repair the refrigerator. Everything turned out great.

The serviceman arrived within the time specified, was professional, and responded helpfully to my questions. We agreed that it would be better to replace the unit. My only concern was the $80.00 + Tax for the Service Call. He said it was on their website and I should have been told when I called to schedule the appointment - it was NOT mentioned when I scheduled the appointment, and it is NOT mentioned anywhere on their website that I could find. The only possible inference is that the website indicates that estimates are not free. Where no service is provided a $30 - $50 fee for a 20 - 30 minute call would be acceptable; anything beyond that should be disclosed to a potential customer up-front. Angie's List should require providers to clearly state their fees for service calls where no work is actually performed.

Oven was not repaired as the age of the appliance and cost of parts/labor did not warrant cost. New stove was purchased.

Victor was very responsive, punctual, extremely thorough, and explained everything in minute detail?all at an attractive price!

Robert arrived the same day even though I called him in the afternoon and in Hudson County, NJ. He was professional and clearly knowledgeable about the issue. Fridge display stopped working and freezer stopped cooling in addition to fridge making a clicking sound and not keeping temperature. Robert also pointed out that the fan was not working. Fridge now works perfectly.

They replaced the refrigerator motherboard; I am pleased with their work.
