I was given a 9AM-12N time slot, but he did not arrive until 1PM, after I sent a reminder message. Other than that, it went very well.

.I called AV Appliance mid-day on a Monday, explained the problem, and was given a three-hour-window appointment for the following day. Shortly after the beginning of that three-hour window, I received a call from the repairman confirming the address and saying he could be there shortly. Ten minutes later, Victor arrived, and within 20 minutes had diagnosed the problem. Unfortunately, he did not have the parts (sparkers) -- no surprise with an stove this old, no longer in production -- and after taking a $100 deposit, said he'd call sometime in the next two days after locating the parts. Early the next day he called and returned, completing the repair within 20 minutes. Every contact with AV Appliance was smooth and efficient, from initial call, to the repairs and explanation from the repairman (Victor).

Great !!The fact that he could fix an air conditoner that wasn't a whole house built in system was a miracle. I called at least 6 other companies who don't fix individual units. He was prompt, kind, very knowledgable.and neat. I'm so glad I found him and will totally use him again.

I described the problem when making appointment so the repairman brought the right part when the repair was made. The repair went very fast. The repairman was highly knowledgeable and efficient. Will use this company for appliance repairs again in the future.

When I came home late Friday afternoon, I found the ice in the freezer melted and the frige was warm. I was panicked. I called a couple of servicemen I used before, but I only got tel messages. Then I checked Angie's List and found AV Appliance and called. I was so glad to talk to Robert. He was sympathetic, but he said he couldn't come at night, but would come before 9 next morning on Saturday. He came shortly after 8 and found problems- a fan and computer- and fixed them. It's very difficult to find a capable service person who are willing to work on weekends. We appreciate AV Appliance very much and highly recommend to anyone.

The repairman came almost exactly within the time frame given and was very knowledgable and efficiently repaired the issue. I called on Friday and he came out the very next day! I am very pleased with this company's work and will use them again in the future!

We were in a panic as the fridge and freezer just stopped cooling on a weekend, and we were about to leave for a trip, and didn't want the house sitter to have to deal with the issue. The repair went fine, and the repairman was prompt. We chose to go with AV appliance service because they had an Angie's List coupon for $40 off. When it came time to discus the cost and payment, the repairman had no clue about the coupon, and proceeded to call the main office and shout at the person on the other end of the line about not telling him about the coupon and not to send him out on these jobs anymore with the discount. In Spanish (presuming I didn't speak Spanish). In the middle of my kitchen. For 10 minutes. It was an uncomfortable experience to say the least.

The service provider never contacted me, I am now cancelling the service.

Basically they forgot about us and we never heard back from them. They took cash and wrote out a complete formal receipt so nothing illicit in that regard. They were very nice and professional while on site. But then nothing. Made a call some many weeks later the dispatcher asking for help in getting them to supply and install the broken part but never heard back from that call either. Our role in this: we lost the original receipt, and we had a faulty voice mail for a couple of days around the time of the service. So we made it a little difficult. But they took our money and must have ordered the part(s) we needed... if the job was resolved to be unresolvable, they should have returned (a portion of our cash) and I guess we'd have to accept. The problem that angers us is we were simply forgotten. It's not up to us to chase them down. And we've had no ice all summer. My guess is this review will spur more action than simply calling again.

They were great!! The problem was kind of complex and they came back 3 times to make sure that the work they did was correct. Their diligence was well worth the price.

They showed up promptly, although there was no work to be done. I am sure they would have done a great job.

Everything perfect. Technician on time and friendly; provided exactly what was needed.

The repairman diagnosed our problem and said we needed a new starter module, or some such device. We hired him to replace it and paid up front. Later came to find out that the company no longer made the required parts and that they could not be sourced elsewhere. Company was prompt in refunding our payment.

AV Appliance was very courteous on the phone and came out the next day to diagnose the problem with my washing machine. They were professional, respectful, and seemed to be very thorough and methodical in how they approached the problem. They gave me an estimate of what the parts and labor would be before ordering the part. When they came back to install the part, they discovered there were fewer issues than they originally thought and only had to install one new part. They were honest about the fact that the repair would be less than the original estimate they gave me. And of course I was excited to hear it was less expensive! The washing machine has been working great ever since! I would definitely use them again. They are responsive, professional, polite, and no drama. They came in, assessed the problem, fixed it, and went on their way.

He was able to fix the problem of 2 burners not igniting. Another burner he couldn't working any better than before but its an unusual problem. The final burner fell outside the scope of the repair but he said he could come back and fix that another time if I was interested. I think the repair was more complicated than he originally thought as it seemed to take longer than expected. Robert was professional and courteous.

After I told the gentleman who called that I had a Bosch oven he informed me that they didn't work on Bosch ovens and that I should contact Angie's List for a refund.

The repairman didn't have the exact part on his truck but he defrosted the frozen compressor so that I had adequate cooling until he was able to install the replacement heater. He returned after the 4th of July weekend and replaced the broken heater and thermostat. His temporary fix had worked perfectly. I couldn't have been more pleased (unless the cost of the part and repair was less). My 18 year old refrigerator is now purring happily along again and I should get another 5 - 10 years out of it...

They did great job. One technician came out and it took him about 45 minutes.

I asked about the big deal discount $49 for $100 credit. He denied that it was still available. He told me I could not use more then one discount. He was giving me an estimate on my repairs and also said the if I used the $49 that he would charge me $80. He was very unclear and kept changing his stories around and was not consistent. He wasn't even going to tell me about the senior discount until I asked him. I was very unhappy and I would not go with his services.

They haven't responded after several weeks. They are the worst company I've dealt with. A total waste of time.
