This Nassau County Licensed Chimney Contractor came to repair the attachment mechanism for our masonry fireplace door hat had been inadvertently damaged by another contractor. He was not able to safely repair it and recommended that we purchase a new one. He was nice enough to not charge us for his service call and the time he spent trying to fix it as well as the time he spent measuring the dimensions for a new unit. We will call this company again when needed.

Very well. Sherwood, co owner of Ageless Chimney, was professional, pleasant and efficient through the replacement of our chimney. He sent an estimate on the same day he assessed the chimney. There was never a moment of pressure. All of my questions were answered forthrightly. The date and time were set. Amazingly, they arrived to the minute. I had interviewed other companies for our job. Ageless came in at 1/2 the price of the nearest one for exactly the same work and materials. I was impressed by the professionalism, follow up and general courtesy of Sherwood and his associates. My experience with Ageless was positive throughout. I feel comfortable recommending them.

The company performed the work that was paid for. At the end they gave me a list of work that needed to be done along with the cost to fix it. I had scheduled an appointment with a 2 hour window. At the very end of the 2 hour window they called to say that they were held up on an emergency call and would need to reschedule. On the rescheduled day at the 2 hour window mark I called the office and they tried to reschedule. The services I was getting were prepaid so I told them I would just get a refund. They then said they would be there in about 20 minutes, about 45 minutes later they showed up and performed the services.

I was very happy with the service. The gentlemen for very professional, and did not try to sell me extra services.

Ageless came with all the needed supplies, Christian explained in detail what and how he was going to clean my chimney and then proceeded to my roof to check the size of chimney cap. Once he verified the size of the cap, he gave me cost, and then explained how the cap would be installed and secured. Christian didn't hesitate answering questions, He also vacuumed my boiler and referred me to plumber for a more thorough cleaning.. if I wanted. What really impressed me is that he stuck with the job that he knew and knew well without trying to convince me to purchase extra service which was not his expertise. After the sweep, he put everything back together, and turned the boiler back on. He left no mess or tools behind for me to clean up afterward, which was another plus. Christian also advised as to when I would needed to have another cleaning, and how that would be done. The price was within range of the estimate which was given over the telephone when I called to make appointment. The office verifies appointment the day before and also calls when the techs are on the way. Excellent customer service.

They gave me an appointment and called again before they came. Chris came exactly at the scheduled time. He needed to install the chimney cap, but he found an issue there. So, he made a pic from the roof to show me the issue and explained what other work should be done. The price was probably a bit high for 45-min work, but overall I am satisfied.

Clean, professional, prompt. There was no mess after the job was done. They even gave me tips on maintenance recommendations that I can do myself.

2. Men responded at agreed time and proceeded to resell area in question, also went above and beyond by sealing side of existing roof dormer .all completed as a follow up call with no charge

Pretty well. The chimney seems fine. They rebuilt about 10-12 rows. With regards to the front steps, they did a nice job but the steps are too high. There should be a height difference between the last step and my front door. They are the same height, hence, the B rating.

Very well, recommendations were made, which we could handle ourselves and the tech was very professional and friendly and arrived on time! There was no mess left for me to clean up and he checked the damper and brushed way up into the chimney and removed all debris. Spotless work!

2 men arrived on 10-16 am and setup. Sherwood began pointing as there was no need for cutout or removal of existing pointing. he came down to tell me that crown was in excellent conditon and he felt there was no need to do anything at the crown other then point the sides and work downward. this sounded good, as I had previously inspected area and also felt that there was no need to disturb he crown , but this work was reflected in the job cost. after awhile i went upstairs to look out the window at the upper chimney. there i saw about 5 feet of chimney ,the whole backside, facing the house with unstruck seams. the mortar was drying as installed in globs and lumps. I went down and told the helper that this area required a jointer tool to work the mortar into the seams and provide a finished product. he stated that “ its ok, well just hit it with the wire brush” little did I realize, that the job began with tooling but diminished into messy areas where the wire brush was apparently incorporated, looking at it now, morter has stained the brick in numerous areas. then the flashing was redone, and after they left for the day, i checked it and found the tar was apparently installed with their hands as the tar had furrows in it over the entire area. they called the next day to return to finish the job , and i told them to be sure to bring tar to redo area. One man returned,christian. he was setting up to waterproof chimney. he had 2 one gallon spray bottles. started spraying at bottom . pattern covered area about one foot square. continued here and there working his way UP. I asked if he had a taller ladder to work from the top Down but he said its ok. sprayer quit, I offered a large pump sprayer that would have been quicker, but he only had a certain amount of fluid. the sprayer required more in it to cover the pump with fluid. I told him Home Depot was up the block and I would accept Thompsons Waterseal, but he refused. I mentioned that the chimney crown is the primary area for waterproofing fluid. He said that the crown was replaced and it was,t critical. I corrected him and explained that the crown was not touched, and I received a “credit” of $20.00 for that. But he tried pointing out that the sides of the crown looked like they were done. (please note that I did not want any mortar on the sides of the crown as it does not adhere and falls off.) anyway, he finally went up and poured the sealer onto the crown and spread it out by hand. I asked about the tar. he said it looked good. I told him I wanted a smooth finish that will repell water , he insisted that applying tar with gloves was fine and the area was fine, I brought him trowels to use, but he refused. He cleaned the flue from the bottom up and vacuumed the area in the firebox. I paid him the remaining $330.00 due ,but he had no change and charged $320.00. so the entire job cost $970.00. I feel that more credit should have been extended for the lack of crown rework. the lack of tooling, between sprayers, fluid, jointer, etc and the lack of application/ knowledge, makes me wonder who has been giving the reviews or who else has been doing the work for this outfit

Everything went fine with work. Chimney liner went in without issue. The workers knocked off a nob on the boiler and didn't mention it. They also knocked out plug of deep freezer near by. I'm sure both were by accident so I didn't mention it. With chimney repair, the price to fix was less then quote. You don't see that every day. I guess things work out in the end as the savings evened out the lost items lost in deep freezer.

It went very well. Very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Took care of all of our concerns in a timely manner. Fair pricing.

The complete job was performed at and above my expectations.I had several estimates and they all were about the the same amount,but Bob one of the owners was very knowledgeable and explained the complete job.The job took about a week they showed up on time every day. As the work progressed they found more work that needed to be taken care of and they did it at the original estimate .Clean professional work

The finished job exceeded our expectations. For this type of work they call themselves Ageless Masonry. We could not be more pleased and highly recommend these folks.

Excellent work. Called on Friday to confirm arrival time then called again Saturday morning to let us know that Sherwood was on the way. They arrived at 9:10 and were finished by 10:40. Installation was very well done. Did need to do some jackhammering of chimney to re-pitch the furnace and hot water heater exhausts. Cleaned up like they were never there. Even removed remnants of an old TV antenna from the outside of the chimney. Would highly recommend.

Upon first showing up for the estimate, I knew Sherwood was the right guy for the job based on his matter of fact description of the work to be done, his self confidence, and the fact he was hands on and would be one of the people actually rebuilding our chimney. Sherwood, and his crew were polite, professional and really went after the task at hand. I must say that I don't hire many people, and do much of the work in my home myself and I am quite a perfectionist (I'm not an easy person to work for!) But this job was out of my job scope. We could not have been more satisfied with the work that was done! We didn't realize how bad the old chimney looked until we saw how good the new one did! And they left our property just as clean as they found it. If you need work done on your chimney do yourself a favor and call Ageless Chimney!

He "repaired" old cap after new cap has already been paid for. Refused to clean chimney, claimed problem was with another duct connecting to chimney. Regardless of what he thought the best course of action was. I took advantage of a promo advertised on Angie's List and ordered it online and paid for it online. The services I paid for should of been rendered and they weren't.

Ageless Chimney was very responsive and professional. They called to confirm appointments, arrived on time and did a great job. They did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. I was a little apprehensive as many chimney companies are not as advertised, but Ageless Chimney was a great company to work with.

FANTASTIC!!! Christian & Lewis did a GREAT JOB!!! Clean, neat, couldn't have went better. They were meticulous & performed their work like surgeons! It's a shame chimney companies on the whole get a bad rap, but these guys & this company were more that perfect! You would do well to hire them if you need this kind of work done. No hesitation, would hire them back in a heartbeat if need be!
