I called to make an appointment. When the woman heard that our chimney is basically new and I didn’t have any problems, she didn’t think it was worth it for me to spend money to have the chimney swept. She was very kind. She didn’t have to have told me that I didn’t need to spend the money.

When I had a problem they came out right away. They are a new company and are very reliable.

They were very polite, on time, and cleaned up after themselves. They did a great job with the repairs, too. I can't really grade the quality of the work, however, since I've never had this kind of work done and can't inspect the work.

I had scheduled them for a chimney sweep and inspection. They were on time, professional, and courteous. They arrived to my house only to find out that my chimney was in need of major repair. They gave me an estimate as well as a discount for finding them through Angie's List. I have not scheduled them for the repair yet, but I will be doing so within the next few weeks!

They really try to work with you to make sure you are satisfied.

Bobby and his staff were excellent. He showed me video on his cellphone prior to doing the work. I certainly wasn't going up there and that was refreshing. Price was reasonable and work started quick. Nice friendly office too.

Not only did he explain what he was doing, he advised me about what I needed to do if I wanted to switch from oil to gas after I told him we were considering making the switch. I called in the morning, Bobby showed up on time later that morning and gave me a fair estimate. They came back that mid-afternoon on schedule to perform pointing. With no pressure, Bobby recommended waterproofing at a reasonable discount (because they were there already). I approved, and they finished after taking the time to do an excellent job and attended to my every request (inspect this, touch-up that, etc.). Great service!

Bob Bruno and his crew were punctual, knowledgable, and completed the work within a few hours. The job site was cleaned up after the work was completed. Office staff kept me informed by phone when the crew's arrival time was moved down several hours; showing respect for my time as the customer.

The repairs were performed smoothly and on time. It involved removing and rebuilding substantial amounts of brick and mortar from a 1950's chimney and refitted with modern liners. Ageless Chimney people arrived around 10 AM and were finished about 4 PM. All were polite and unobtrusive. The crew was supposed to put plywood sheets to cover the corrugated aluminum roof on our screened lanai and protect it during demolition of the chimney top, but I wound up with an avoidable quarter-size puncture from a chunk of chimney that fell from the roof. It's not a big deal, but the plywood never went up despite my reminder to a crew member. To repeat: The work itself was nicely done, but I just wish they were more thoughtful about where those big chunks of concrete and brick were landing.

They were great. Quick appointment. Good communication. Punctual and neat, quick repairs. A pleasure to deal with.

Before and after the work they provided a video showing us what it looked like before and after. We were completely satisfied with the job. We ended up paying a little more than the big deal pricing but we had a lot of repair work done. It was totally worth it.

No complaints. Very responsive and easy to set up the appointment with. Punctual. They did a great job. Honestly I wasn't home but my wife was happy with the work. The workers also alerted us to missing shingles on the roof (from hurricane Sandy).

Very well, only one glitch, we needed to add to our electric panel that was not included in the original estimate. Sherwood is very responsive and it really makes the room look so amazing compared to the way it looked before.

I called for a cleaning and estimate on repairing the crumbling mortar at the top of the chimney. Someone from the office returned my call that same day. When does that ever happen? She was professional and courteous and gave me an appointment for later that week. I even got a confirmation call the day before the appointment, and on the day the work was scheduled someone called to let me know that Bobby and Sherwood were running a little late. It didn't matter in this case, but I appreciated the thoughtful heads up. That's just good business. When Bobby and Sherwood arrived, they were friendly and took the time to show me the rubble at the bottom of the flue and the deteriorating clay lining at the top--even helping me up the ladder when I wanted to see for myself. They cleared out the debris, installed a new stainless steel liner, fixed the mortar, and installed the chimney cap my husband had bought previously. The job took only two hours, they cleaned up beautifully, and the chimney looks good as new. Great day. Ageless Chimney was professional from the first phone call to the finished job. I'd recommend them to anyone needing chimney repair, and I won't hesitate to call them for the other types of home improvement and repair work they do.

Purchased coupon for chimney sweep/inspection. They arrived on time and were courteous. Provided service as well as suggestions for additional work to be considered without pressure. Would hire again.

I am very satisfied with the work done by Ageless Chimney (Sherwood + Rob). I had FIVE estimates (they were the last one). Ageless was the O-N-L-Y one who actually went up to the roof TWICE to do a thorough inspection of the chimney -- each side, up and down, looked inside, tried to lodge bricks/mortar loose, etc. Again, they went up TWICE. In addition to that, they were the ONLY ones who came inside tp check INSIDE the fireplace and down in the basement up the vent with a flashlight and iPhone to see what the cause of the problem was, and if there were any other issues -- there weren't any (they could've told me the chimney needed cleaning to get a few more bucks out of me but they said it was clean and no need to clean, which I appreciated). It took them a whole 25 minutes (!) to check out the chimney from all angles before they even wrote up an estimate. All the other companies took about 5 minutes to "inspect" -- they refused to go up and even look at the chimney, and they gave me estimates of what needed to be done by "inspecting" it with a naked eye from the street. Two insisted that I needed to rebuild the chimney (a LOT of money), while the other two insisted that I would just need pointing, and no rebuilding. Really -- how's it possible to give a good faith and credible estimate by looking at the chimney (25 yards away) from the street with a naked eye???? So Ageless truly won me over before they even gave me the price for the estimate because they showed everything to me, took pics on the iPhone, explained everything, told me the problem, what caused it, how it should be addressed, what was unnecessary, etc etc. Sherwood told me the chimney didn't need to be rebuilt, only pointed, and that the aluminum duct inside the chimney would need to be replaced (something the others didn't even bother to inspect). And Ageless' price was reasonable, especially as compared with the other estimates I got -- other companies gave wild fluctuations of estimates (which gives the consumer zero confidence that anyone is doing any legitimate work) and other companies also had "coupon" "one-day-only" and other gimmicks which, again, makes the homeowner feel like he's getting scammed. As soon as Ageless gave me the estimate, I accepted right there on the spot and they turned to the work immediately. Given my experience with others, I didn't even bother to negotiate with them to lower the price. As for the work itself, they were professional, courteous, straight-forward, punctual and quick. They explained everything very clearly and rationally -- no use of industry jargon; just plain English (contrast that with another estimate I got where guy spoke little English and couldn't explain the first thing about why it is I needed to spend $4K(!) to rebuild the chimney). Also, there were no surprises, hidden charges, gimmicks, hard-sells, bait-switch, etc. What you saw was what you got. Like every other job, of course only time will tell whether the brick/mortar work on the outside lasts for years to come, but I expect that it will. Nice Job.

I thought this Big Deal was for chimney sweeping but the ad was misleading it was actually for a boiler sweep. The tech was almost an hour late. The receptionst said I could pay the difference but the tech wouldn't let me call them because he was in a hurry. I didn't feel like they were there for the customer.

I called them because of rain noise coming from chimney. The ladies went up the roof and did not see any structural reason for the noise. They removed some twigs on top of the cap and cleared the surroundings. I have not experienced any more rain noise coming from the chimney. I can sleep again when it rains. I am super happy.
