Considering i did telemarketing for a chimney sweep company when I was a teenager, I was naturally very hesitant to trust anyone, after all the horror stories you hear and see. My perception was 100% changed by Ageless. They are VERY trustworthy and honest. They did a PERFECT job on my chimney....rebuilt, and pointed as well as a new liner and clean. My neighbors have even complimented the perfection of their work. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND AGELESS CHIMNEY! PERFECT WORK!!!! Thanks again guys!!!

Excellent & professional would recommend

We purchased the Angie's list coupon for a $79 tune up. The coupon states that they would repair popped up nails. Sherwood came here, spent 15 mins on our roof and popped back only 10 nail heads. Proceeded to tell us that we needed to replace our whole roof by the winter! We know this cannot be entirely true because we just moved in and just had the roof inspected by an inspector and our insurance company. Inspector said the roof had 10 years left, and insurance company pointed out minor fixing that needed to be done. They gave us a ridiculous estimate for a roof replacement of our very tiny detached garage. Not worth that $79. I feel completely taken. Will never purchase another coupon.

Sherwood showed up promptly for the estimate. He was clear about the work performed and an agreement was made on a fair price. His guys showed up on time and performed the work. The work site was initially not cleaned well. Numerous splashes of concrete were apparent on the building and surrounding area, and debris had not been cleaned. The new wall did not pour perfectly leaving a bulge, and the stucco blending within the entrance area was not done well at all. The edges on the cellar wall were left sharp and not relieved or rounded. Common (not polymeric) sand was poured into the paver joints near the new drain area. The experience left us very frustrated. But this is not the end of the story. After reporting these issues to Sherwood, he was deeply concerned and showed up several times to address these issues. His guys cleaned the building, picked up all debris,re-stuccoed the entire wall, rounded off edges on the cellar entrance, cleaned and applied polymeric sand to the paver joints. In short, they pretty much gave me the best job possible and made good on trying to make me happy. If the measure of the contractor can be seen through the lens of how he stands behind his work, then Ageless deserves an A+. While it?s true that the initial work was imperfect, Sherwood got right on top of that. I would use Ageless chimney again for the confidence and professionalism they showed in the end.

I don't know how this company got super service awards, but since they had, I didn't hesitate when Robert informed me during the appointment for the estimate that he could complete the work that same day. His estimate was about the same I had received from two other top rated companies, so it seemed like a good idea. This was not a good idea. Basically it was the end of the day and they quickly (hurriedly, and sloppily) went up on the roof and got to work. Since the other two similar estimate I had received included removing and replacing the cracked bricks, as well as chiseling out the chipped mortar (which is the standard practice for repointing a chimney, I assumed they would do this. They did not. What they did do was slap some concrete into the spaces, very sloppily, leaving gaps and cracks unfilled. From the ground I saw that they had missed a corner section and yelled to them, "what about that over there?" Robert's response was, "oh, we can do that for you" as if he was doing me a favor, rather than doing a job for which he was being paid. Ridiculous. This arrogant, condescending attitude would truly reveal itself later, after he got paid. They removed my square stainless steel cap and replaced it with a cheap circular one to connect to the gas line and left the tubing sticking out. Plus, it was crooked. When I pointed this out to Robert he told me my chimney was crooked. It isn't Once they left I had a chance to actually go up on the roof to check out what they had done and I was disgusted. My 3 year old could have done a nicer job with the mortar. It wasn't tuckpointed, and there were places they didn't even fill. I took pictures, see below. The next day I called Robert to let him know my dissatisfaction and, let's just say, he wasn't interested in hearing it at all. I told him he needed to come and fix the problems and his response was that he was at a family party and I was lucky he even picked up the phone. Seriously? Then he informed me that they could come back to fix it, but since it was already November, it would have to wait until the SPRING, because from that point on the weather would be too cold to work with concrete. Keep in mind that the temperature that very day was in the 50s. Obviously he was trying to blow me off. I said, "so there are going to be NO days before the Spring above freezing?" Preposterous. When I persisted, he told me to call the office and schedule an appointment. I did, and surprise, surprise, suddenly it wasn't going to be too cold to do the work. I was so incensed by Robert's attitude that when I called the office I informed the woman I spoke to of the situation, Robert's attitude, and even went so far to email her the copies of the pictures. All she kept saying was, "wow, that doesn't sound like him." Could anything be more meaningless. Cause it was him. I told her that when he came I just wanted to show him the poor workmanship in person, but BY NO MEANS should he expect to do any more work on it. Fast forward to the day of the appointment. I was late getting home, so when I arrived (10 mins after the scheduled time) Robert and his partner were ON MY ROOF. Exactly what I had specifically, and repeatedly told them NOT to do. I told them to come down and explained to Robert that the job was done poorly, that he didn't cut out the old mortar or replace any cracked bricks as is customary, nor did he tuckpoint the chimney. His demeanor was hostile and defensive. He claimed that none of that was customary, and that his work was "up to code", that my chimney was 100 years old, so it wasn't going to look so good (it's only 80 years old)." "Be that as it may", I said, "it looks like garbage. I had two other companies give me estimates for brand new chimneys that were around the same price, but I went with you." Then he demanded to see the estimate for a new chimney that was around the same price. Demanded to see the estimate? Seriously? He was like "that's not possible, there's no way, show me the estimate, go get it, come on, show it to me." Nice attitude. But then, what he said next was the best. After I told him that I had two other estimates and that I had gone with him instead he said, "well you could have gone with them, but you didn't. You went with me, so now you have to deal with that." So he gave me crap and since I chose him I have to live with it. Then he added, "we have tons of great reviews on Angies List, but I guess you can't please everyone" So, in effect, he said he was not going to make this right, nor did he have any . At that moment I realized that this guy didn't give a crap about my review or anything, and that if I wanted to chimney fixed properly I would have to hire someone else to do it. At that moment I stopped arguing. I told him to go back up and finish the repair work (might as well). When he came down and was about to leave he came to the door and his attitude was gone. He said, "you know, you didn't get ripped off. We did a good job" I said, "well, that all depends on what you define as good." A few weeks later I had another company come out to give me an estimate to make the chimney look as I had expected. They said the job wasn't terrible either, that it was passable, but cheap. I agree. I haven't yet had them come back to install a proper clay chimney extension and square cap and fix the godawful repointing, but I will. In the end, I'm going to wind up spending exactly what I would have for a brand-new chimney without the brand new chimney. Lesson learned. Super Service awards are not all they are cracked up to be.

the was heat coming back to the water heater vent, which means there is a small amount of co2 being pushed back. They checked the chimney and confirmed it was ok. The venting needed to be re-angled so there would not be hot air coming out. they corrected the issue and fixed the problem.

He came gave me an estimate and did the work one the same day. They cleaned up. Work looks great.

After checking with 5 other companies, all listed with Angies List, I settled on Ageless, not because of the price but because of the first impression that Sherwood had left. Ageless was the last company to give me an estimate and to be honest, I had just about made up my mind to choose another company. But obviously that changed. Sherwood spent a great deal of time with me during the estimate inspection. What changed my mind was the fact that he went down to the boiler area and checked the base of the chimney along with all off the vent connection points. None of the other companies did that. The job was scheduled to start on Monday March 30th, however I received a call on the previous Friday that it would have to be rescheduled. Normally this would be very aggravating but the young lady that called me from the office (and I apologize for forgetting her name) was extremely professional and explained the reason to my satisfaction. I was able to adjust my schedule without a problem. It was rescheduled on for Wednesday April 1st. The crew arrived early and went to work. By the end of the day I had a brand new chimney complete with liner and caps. The crew was very professional and aside from leaving me with a new chimney, you would never know that they were there in the first place. The roof, surrounding area, and basement were spotless. After speaking with 4 other companies I had a good idea on the cost and we definitely got more than our monies worth.

Iwas very pleased with the work that Chris G and his crew did on my stoop. They were very courteous. The work was done in a timely manner. The cleanup was excellent. I would certainly recommend these workers . You will not be disappointed

Ageless was extremely prompt and professional in giving us an estimate. Advised us that the brick work wasn't bad enough to repair and it would differcult to match.

I bought a $99 big deal for the chimney cap service and it went fine. They did a bit more after that, including putting in a chimney liner so it was another $1,200. I knew it was going to happen because I had not done anything with my chimney for 45 years. Everything worked out fine, though, I was happy. Everything was A-plus. They did the job without any problem, whatsoever and I was happy with it.

We had been told that we needed to replace our brick chimney. We also need a new chimney liner. We had gotten two estimates and actually chose this company even though their price was a bit more expensive. Their professionalism and punctually and description of the work was more complete. the job was postponed once - due to weather. Once re-scheduled, the work was finished in the time frame proposed in the estimate - one day.

The scheduling was fine. It didn't seem to be an issue at all. They seemed to be really knowledgeable. They were very punctual and very personable. They charged us partially for it. Also included in the quote was some masonry work. But because of the weather they were unable to do the masonry work until the spring. So we only paid a partial amount and we filled out the rest of the contract to do the masonry. Hopefully come spring they'll come back and do it. The total was $1300. But we only paid $1000 yesterday because the masonry won't be done until spring. So far so good. It was just yesterday. So I think we'll have to see if everything holds up okay. So far I'm sure we would recommend them. The pricing seemed fair. It was very comparable to the other quote that we got and they told us pretty much the same details of what was wrong from the other quote. I think they seemed pretty honest.

He gave me an estimate but he advised me against doing the job on account of the configuration of my chimney and boiler..I appreciate the honesty and if ever need other work done I would give them a call

They did exactly what I wanted and did everything the way it was supposed to be done. They were very professional and cordial. It was a pleasure dealing with them. There were two in the crew.

The value Vs. price was very low. Installed a thiner liner, and the canopy that goes on top is much smaller than the one already installed. They are very arrogant, because of high rating they manage to get on Angie's list. I am not picky; other contractors their job as expected in time and with a reasonable price. I would not recommend them. If you need someone, try other resources to find the right person for the job. Don't fall for their over confidence and high price.

These guys were wonderful. The woman that schedules service is an absolute GEM. I would highly recommend this team.

Should be called Painless Chimney. Called late Friday left message. Got a response on Saturday morning and scheduled for Monday. Came Monday in the exact middle of the two hour service window. In and out quickly, extremely pleasant and professional. Only problem is they forgot to turn the hot water heater back on which we realized a day or two later. Overall a great experience.

It worked out great. They were prompt, on time and can work out great. They were the only ones that did an excellent job. I would use them again in the future.

I WAS SKEPTICAL AT FIRST BUT ANGIE'S LIST HAD THE BEST PRICE SO I WENT WITH IT. I CALLED AGELESS CHIMNEY AND CHERYL ANSWERED THE PHONE, SHE ASKED IF I HAD HEAT. I SAID NO, SHE THEN MADE ME A PRIORITY BECAUSE IT WAS 18 DEGREES OUTSIDE. BOB AND SHERWOOD WERE HERE IN ONE HOUR. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, COURTEOUS, AND RESPECTFUL. THEY FIXED MY CHIMNEY AND HAD MY HEAT UP AND RUNNING WITHIN ONE HOUR. I WAS SO GRATEFUL AND HAPPY THAT I WENT WITH ANGIE'S LIST AND AGELESS CHIMNEY.

I decided to use Ageless Chimney because of so many positive reviews and also had a coupon special as well for a new Chimney Cap. Sherwood from Ageless came to inspect my chimney, but since it was going to rain outside, he did not want to install the cap and crown that same day because the cement would not be able to dry properly. But they were able to do the sweep. They came back on the day they promised they would and completed the installation of the cap and crown. I was very thankful that they were courteous, professional, and more than that...honest. I would recommend them to anyone.
