Servpro was recommended to me by my State Farm agent, and they seemed professional enough - up until the point right after I signed on the dotted line. Their laborers showed little or no courtesy to the couple that was housesitting for me while I was out-of-town (i.e. arriving late or without notice, leaving the front door & windows wide open when the left while my housesitters were out, damaging property that wasn't impacted by the water incident, etc.). However, their unprofessionalism paled in comparison to that of Servpro's office staff and even the franchise's ownership. Gil Morrissey, the owner, refused to address specific concerns and even had to be told numerous times to do something as basic as having puddles of water removed from kitchen cabinet interiors. But the absolute worst part of my experience came when they tried to sneak their padded bill past me. Long story short: the bill started out with more than a $6000 total, and by the time I analyzed it, they were forced to reduce it by nearly $2000. For example, they initially tried to claim that the kitchen in my 2000 sq. ft., 8-room home measured over 600 sq. ft. And of course they were charging by the square foot for their crap service. One would think and expect them to re-examine their billing on their own after I pointed this out, but no, they demanded that I spend a Sunday afternoon going through their billing on my time to expose their errors. Upon my doing so, I identified an additional $2000 in inaccurate charges, including charges for services that were never even performed. Take my advice and opt for other alternatives should you ever require the services of a damage remediation company. It's a trying and stressful situation, and outfits like this particular Servpro franchise only make it worse. My biggest regret was having to turn away other companies that undoubtedly would have been better than Servpro. I'm more than happy to discuss my experience with any interested parties.
