It was just like a Whirlpool water softener. It works pretty good. It's not really a water softener to be honest, it's a water filtration system, but it does remove chlorine. I connected it up through the plumbing in my basement. It's just like an inlet and an outlet. The water filtration system worked well, but I am starting to see now where I'm getting that same effect as I did when I first moved into the house, such as the dryness of the skin. Because that's what the hard water does to you. It dries out your skin and makes your skin itchy. So now I'm trying to see where it's not as effective as when I first installed it. It is all internal, so I can't see where it is building up. But it is a unit that basically recharges itself, so there is no filter that you change or anything. It's just a carbon bedding. It did give me some release, so I like it, but there's just no indicator or anything to tell you this thing has ran out. I was pretty satisfied. I was looking at other units that were thousands and thousands of dollars so I thought it was good to pay $275 versus thousands and thousands of dollars.

The installer was a little late due to problems with an earlier job, but that's no big deal-things happen. He came and did a great job installing the door and cleanup. He explained some little bits of info regarding the door (maintenance, etc)

They did an excellent job. The very next morning he was here. He showed up at 7 o'clock and was completely done and gone. I have a big house by 330. They came back on Monday and then installed rain gutters. It made me feel looks good. I know they solved it out. They could probably tell me where the guy was. They subcontracted the job to another contractor who did a wonderful job. Some people say that we can put a new roof on top of it. I void my warranty on the new shingles if I do that. They'll come back and say "Well, we put it over someone else's work and maybe it was their work that failed." He was right upfront about that. We had some raccoon damage with some old wood. He said that it would beat the raccoon from chewing off the wood. It all looks beautiful. They gave me 84 months to pay it off. They put in a good work with the deal. There was like a $500 - $600 difference between the architectural shingles and just the plain flat shingles. I said "Let me get the ones that look the best." I did the difference and got the architectural. It was nice. They were good. I went with them because I had a Lowe's card. This is like over my $2000 Lowe's card. I went to the desk and she said "Okay, let's see." She didn't even ask me where I work or my salary. I said I haven't used the card that much. I pay it off. I used it to get the discount on appliances that 10%. She said "Okay, you've got a $10000 credit allowance." I was absolutely shocked and scared too that they gave out money that easily. They call to follow-up and ask how I liked it. Their professionalism is excellent. I spoke with the boss. He had such a huge group of young men working on the house, that's why he's done so quick. All the guys are very polite. They were very good and I would highly recommend them. I intend to use them in the future.

Overall, I have had a very good experience with them. We were caught in a flood here, so we needed a lot of material and part of it was bought from another store and part of it was bought at Lowe's. We would go there for floor tiles, and they would really get on the phone and call all over the island to see who had what we needed and then we went there and picked it up. They were really good with that. They were good with their prices too. If you use their Lowe's card, you get a 5% discount and if you show the Lowe's card at the other store they will also honor the 5% discount.
