He fixed the leak with the cost being over the top $380.00 but the nut was cracked to the valve to the hot water coils in which there is now a leak. The valve is the one connected to the hot water coils. I called the company again to come look at the leak and instead of just replacing the broken nut which costs almost next to nothing, he wanted to charge another $250.00. He stated that he couldn't just replace the broken nut; the whole thing needed to be replaced. I think the nut could be replaced. This company is a milker - I would not use them ever again. I think that $380.00 is over the top on the price of just fixing a little leak and $250.00 to replace a valve when just a new nut would be just as sufficient. Besides the fact that I think the nut broke while the valve itself was being turned off at the time of the last service but I can't prove it. He stated that he never touched that valve but it's clearly the one connected right next to the hot water coils. So I don't know if he's telling the truth or not.

They came. They installed. They left. The workmanship seemed to be good, though I thought it was somewhat pricey. About a year later, the circulator pump failed and told it was not covered. I paid for them to put in a new one.

I had an emergency leak in my shower. After calling several plumbers, Bob at Herber was extremely helpful, even suggesting some other plumbers when he thought he couldn't help me soon enough. When Herber did arrive, the plumber--John, was terrific, ultimately doing what was needed to solve the issue. Afterward, Bob called to verify I was satisfied with the work,

IT WAS AN EMERGENCY CALL, AND I DO UNDERSTAND THE COST FOR AN EMERGENCY CALL. IT WAS 175.00. IT WAS SAT. LATE EVENING. HE HAD NO PROBLEM REPLACING THE GASKET/BUSHING IT WAS SIMPLE. HE WAS GOING TO REPLACE THE OTHER AS WELL BEING HE WAS HERE AND CRACKED THE TIP OF THE PLASTIC HANDLE AND FEARED HE WOULD NOT HAVE ON IN THE TRUCK. AFTER LOOKING HE LOCATED ONE AND RETURNED TO REPLACE THE PLASTIC PIECE. INSTALLED THE HANDLES REVERSED AND WE TOLD HIM TO LEAVE AS IS IT WAS LATE ALREADY. WHEN HE CAME BACK WITH THE BILL I WAS SHOCKED. 515.96 TO REPLACE A BUSHING/GASKET THAT TOOK LESS THAN AN TWO HOURS. FELT LIKE WE WERE STUCK AND PAYED. EXASPERATED AND DISTURBED THAT SOMEONE CAN TAKE ADVANTAGE OF CUSTOMER IN NEED. QUITE IN UPSET IN HOLTSVILLE, NEW YORK.

horrible company stay away at all costs

Work was performed relatively quickly, but at a ridiculous price of $245 (including tax). I checked with a local Independent plumber who said he would have charged only $80 for the same job.

They were very helpful. I think they are very reliable. I will have them back to replace a toilet.

Again called 3 companies and picked this one. Bob Herber , owner came promptly and answered all questions. When we were finally ready to do project he met with us again and went over every thing with photos and clear explanation of what was needed. He did a measurement of home to determine correct heating requirements. He even tightened a pipe that had a small gas leak in basement. Once the appointment was scheduled, a week prior the team head Dave came to check out all details and plan the job. The crew came around 9 am to start. They were supposed to stay until 4pm and finish the job the next da, maybe into the next day.. Since the setup of the house provided ample access and room to remove and install during the job they were well ahead during the work. At one point there were 5 trucks including the owner who came to check progress, he also came at near end of job.. Besides the plumbing crew a electrical guy was there too. The added man power had the job was completed by 8:30 pm.. During this time they also included a repair to the leaky gas pipe that was more severe than thought. We had gas smell off/on there and even had gas company check out few years back and they didn't find anything.Great these guys found it. The plumbing install was great, new gas burner working great, plumbing of pipes very professional. Crew was respectful and professional. The only minor issues were some electrical wiring left hanging ( not used for anything) , bucket of waste water from burner, tool left behind, air vent that was not secured properly, and some general clean-up. The majority of the cleanup around the areas where the old oil tank and burners were fine.These issues were minor, and Dave came back to resolve them. Given the work was done in a day without us having to do without gas service, or heat the minor issues were understandable. I would definitely recommend these guys. They are hard workers and perform the services they promise.

In the major work they have done here, they get the job done in the time they designate and our development has great confidence in their ability to get the job done properly.

I showed representative all items in need of repair, there were five in total. He gave an estimate for all five issues, the quote for all five far exceeded my budget. We negotiated down to three items above to be repaired for $400. Repair work was done quickly, he explained what he was doing, was very conscientious and completely cleaned up afterwards.

It went very well. They were very neat and clean. They replaced it. They were here when they said they were going to be here. I would say they were pretty good. However, they were little expensive. They were fast, efficient and neat. They came when they said they were going to come and it was the exact price they said it would be. Even though they were expensive, they did a great job. I was told it was riffed off but when I called other plumbers, everybody else said that was the average price. I would definitely use them again.

This company really came through for us. Due to complications the work took over two days....But they (the crew) really followed up and got the job done. Most important, to me, their work ethic was Top Drawer....they wanted to get the job done and get it done right. Very nice and polite (no negative attitudes) Very hard working guys. Thanks

Called at noon to get emergency repair of baseboard heating system. Reported a broken circulator pump coupling (note: this part costs less than $20 retail). Repairman arrived at 2PM, replaced coupling, and left at 2:40PM. Service was acceptable. Price was not. First quote by serviceman was $275 plus tax. After negotiating, price was reduced to $225 plus tax. Weather was cold and I was not in a position to refuse. The charge amounted to a labor charge of $200 for 2/3 of an hour, or $300/hour. In my opinion these people are thieves!

A very nice fellow showed up on time. He proceeded to unblock the bathtub drain, which has pretty much been slow in draining. He also showed me how to maintain the drain so as to avoid having to call a plumber to repeat the process.

called 8 am, said they'd be here between "now and 12 noon". came about 45 min later which was excellent. after seeing what needed to be done, was given estimate which i thought was high, but whatever, who knows? maybe anyone would of given same price range, he's only one i called cause was local and on the list. performed maintenance in about 45 min time, serviceman was polite and knowledgable. they give no guarantee with drain blockages, but maybe thats norm.

I found them in Angie's List. They re-did the bathroom in my mother's house which I inherited. They used to fax me the proposals in Maryland and I used to talk to them. I used to travel back and forth to my mother's house in New York. They were very good. They only do plumbing and don't do wall work or anything. They had to synchronize the work with others as they could do their work until the others finished and so on. They worked very well and the bathroom is really nice looking. The price was little over than what I had anticipated but I've never felt that they were taking advantage of me. They were very punctual and few of them had come even earlier.

They were fantastic. I have never seen so many guys walking in and out of a house with something so big and filthy. It was a big job they did. They wee here all day and they did the job so well and clean that you wouldn't know they were here. I was amazed. They put better gas lines than the previous one which was done by somebody else 2 years ago. The work they did was fantastic.

Really well. The plumber was professional and courteous. My only complaint was the tracking of dirt across my living room carpets. When brought to his attention, he promptly produced a cleaning solvent and scrubbed the spots in the carpet clean.

I have used these guys since 1975 and they have always done an excellent job. They have kept the quality of their work high for so many years and I'm always satisfied with the way they do their business. They have 24 hour service which is excellent, they're a bit expensive, but it's worth it.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY MANY TIMES BEFORE. THE SERVICE PROVIDED BY THIS COMPANY IS VERY GOOD. THE PLUMBER IS PROFESSIONAL. THE PRICE IS A LITTLE TOO EXPENSIVE.

THESE GUYS WERE AMAZING! I HAVE NEVER SEEN PLUMBERS BE SO SPOTLESS. I DID NOT HAVE TO GO BEHIND AND CLEAN UP OR EVEN REMIND THEM TO DO SO. IT WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE! A NICE CHANGE OF PACE.
