Description of Work: Frozen heating zone. Been running space heaters for days. He answered immediately in this blizzard & agreed to come soon. Then magically heat came on. Description of Work: Dig a small area of yard and locate and fix a leaking propane pipe with minimal disruption to lawn. Honest. Professional. Excellent work. Saved the day for our family, because another vendor proposed an entirely new 170 foot propane line!!

Description of Work: My boiler was installed in December 2014 by Gleason Plumbing and Heating in Hawthorne, NY and I was verbally told that there would be a one year follow up regarding cleaning and that they would service my boiler in an ongoing manner. Today, I called and they said, they were no longer servicing Yonkers. I said, I would not have ordered a boiler from them if this was the case. I was assured and verbally told, no problem. Today, I was asked by Ryan Gleason, is it written down? I said, no. He assured me that they would service me. He told me, that if I reported it to Angie's List that he would sue me for public slander. Not, only do I feel outraged by the lack of agreement, but I am horrified that I would be threatened if I would report his company to Angie's List. This is not what Angie's List is about and violate's the Angie's List code. This threat was told to me today, by Ryan Gleason.

Description of Work: I realized at about 11AM that my heating system was not working. I'm a little handy and after a half hour realized it was beyond my capabilities. I check Angies's list and chose Gleason. First he's local and in his write up he states it's a family business since 1980 and then I read the reviews. I called and Ryan Gleason answered he said that he was on a job and would be there at around 3PM. He called and said he was running late and would be there at 4PM. Ryan and his assistant showed up and began to work on my 20yr. old boiler. It was an electrical problem and he made sure he got the parts before the supply house closed. I thought he would have to return in the morning but Ryan told me we'll get your heating system working tonight and he did. I have heat and I think the price was reasonable for 2 men and elec. parts

+ 0 moreRyan was very professional and with a constant smile on his face. He is very knowledgable, and was always available to answer any questions I had about the process. I felt his price was very fair compared to the amount of time needed for the project, and he made sure to clean up after the end of the day. After installing three toilets, it turned out one of the toilets ended up being loose and leaked the same night. I called Ryan, and he came back to re-caulk and re-set the toilet within hours of the call. I highly recommend Ryan, and will be using him in the future.
Description of Work: Split off natural gas line to two parts of the house. Removed and installed three new toilets.

Description of Work: I had a leaking pipe under my kitchen sink leading from the garbage disposal. The leaking pipe was of cheap material and Gleason upgraded to PVC and replaced the piping. He advised that the garbage disposal was at the end of its life but I chose to wait. Within a month of this visit the garbage disposal malfunctioned and stopped working needing replacement. I had Gleason obtain and replace with an upgraded model from the same manufacturer.

+ -1 moreFor the first appointment, Ryan Gleason didn't showed up for an appointment and didn't call to say that he wasn't coming. I left a voicemail after an hour past the appointment asking for status and no response. Needless to say that I was disappointed. But he called a few days afterwards to apologize for missing my appointment and scheduled another appointment. He was prompt and professional. Seemed like a nice guy. I recommend him going forward. I gave his "Punctuality" a C because he missed the first appointment but he made the second one without any problems.
Description of Work: installed a shutoff valve for a bbq gas line.

Worked cleanly, took shoes off to work in 2nd floor and didn't leave garbage behind and there was no damage done to floors or walls. Up to now, everything seems to be working just fine. Everybody was courteous and polite. Has 2 more things to do for me, let's see if he comes again without me having to prod him.
Description of Work: 1.-Supplied&installed new garbage disposal and new sprayer for kitchen sink. 2.-Supplied&installed new toilet parts for master and basement toilets. 3.-Supplied&installed new faucet stems for basement sink and 3 handle bathtub shower faucets. 4.-Supplied&installed new stems for 2nd. floor hall bathroom 3 handle shower faucet.

+ 0 moreOverall i couldn't be happier with the services performed by Gleason Plumbing, and will always use them in the future for all of my plumbing needs. They are very meticulous to make sure everything is done to perfection, as if it was for their own home. They were always on time and readily available by phone to accommodate all of my needs (on a few occasions i had to reschedule due to delivery of the new tub, and they were very accommodating). They were also very clean and made sure when they left that they cleaned everything up in the area they were working. I would definitely recommend Gleason Plumbing to all of my friends and family. And i have now found my Plumbing company that i will use for all of my plumbing needs in the future.
Description of Work: I was remodeling my bathroom and called Gleason Plumbing to handle all of my plumbing needs. The removed the toilet and sink prior to the demo of floor and wall tiles by another company. After the removal of the floor and wall tiles was completed by another company they came back to replace my old bathtub with a new one. They removed the old bathtub (which is a huge job because it was cemented in) and replaced it with a new bathtub. This included all new pipe work, drain work, all new fixtures, everything was done perfectly. After my bathroom was finished from the other company tiling it, Gleason plumbing the returned and reattached my toilet and sink. When reattaching my sink they noticed it was badly clogged and they fixed this problem with no additional charge. They are very professional, friendly, always on time, and very responsive to phone calls.

+ 0 moreRyan's service was excellent. Another plumber left me and my family without hot water for almost a week. I was recommended Ryan by the supply house where the equipment was purchased. I called Ryan and he showed up the following day to evaluate the situation. He was unable to start that day but he showed up to evaluate the situation and to see if there was someway to get us our water back. He was able to start a day later and had us up and running that night. He had to reschedule to later in the afternoon because his morning job was running late but he called me before hand to let me know he was running late. He stayed until long past dinner time in the evening to make sure our family had hot water again. I highly recommend him and thank him for going above and beyond.
