Were very professional, prompt, responsive, and skillful. #1 they answered and quickly responded to my initial call, which is unfortunately rare in my experience. #2 they quickly did an onsite estimate and answered all my questions. #3 they did quality work leaving no mess and almost no dust. The floors look great.

Anthony and his Crew are TRUE PROFESSIONALS not only in their trade but also in the way they do business. This was a hassle free experience. I got same day estimation appointment, Anthony was right on time and explained the current condition of the floor and was precise about what needed to be done. This put me at much ease being a first time home owner I did not feel that I was going to get into a huge expense for anything that I did not need. Him, his brother and staff did exactly what he promised to do and kept me updated throughout the process. the work was completed exactly on time and it was EXCEPTIONALLY EXECUTED. They even did a great job cleaning up after them. Professionals like him are very rare in my experience. Angie's list should be thankful to him as I am a first time subscriber and his services have instilled a lot of confidence about seeking services from other providers on this site.

Amazing job! I had just purchased an old farmhouse and needed the sad, old oak floors sanded and stained super fast-before I moved in-and Anthony was right on it. I called for an estimate, he quickly came out and said he could get it done before I moved in. He and his brother were knowledgable, courteous and friendy. The finished stained/poly floors exceeded my expectations and I could not be more pleased. Thanks, guys!

Excellent job. Due to urine stains from animals a number of boards had to be replaced. All aspects of job went great. Result is beautiful

they came and did estimate promptly, scheduled, arrived exactly on time, sanded the entire 1st day, 2nd day sand and 2 coats of water based poly, 3rd day 2 more coats of poly. was able to walk on it 2 hours later and brought furniture back in later that evening. No mess, no dust and NO SMELL! great job

Acme Wood Floors did top notch work. The owner Anthony, his brother Pasquale, and their third employee were timely, efficient, and extremely attentive to detail. We had a pretty large area of our house that needed old, worn flooring refinished and they worked solidly for nearly three days. They don't cut corners and the results are absolutely wonderful - our floors really look like new! All three men were extremely pleasant and professional. They kept us updated on the process and progress throughout the job and gave us full details of how to treat and preserve our new floors. They even left some extra finish for us to keep should we accidentally scratch or scuff the floors down the line. It was a pleasure working with the guys from Acme - we would recommend them without hesitation for their excellent work, fair prices, and pleasant service. We will be calling them again!

Job went very well. Tony Littlejohn and his brother did all the work. Very easy to work with. Left the job each day only after cleaning up. No dust anywhere. Loved the result.

Anthony arrived as planned & with his 2 helpers completed the job in the time frame promised. The men were polite & worked diligently. They are very good at what they do. We had expected a lot of dust, but there was hardly any. The floors look spectacular! Great job! Pleasant to work with.

The owner of Acme Wood Floors, Anthony Littlejohn, was prompt, professional, and responsive to my communications, throughout the job. He Was extremely fair and helpful in pricing and payment arrangements. His brother, Pasquale Littlejohn, who did most of the refinishing, was personable, professional, and he worked tirelessly each day until the job was completed. He took great pride and care in his work, with attention to detail. Great craftsmanship! I can't sing their praises enough. Would recommend them without reservation. May use them again in the future for refinishing the 2nd floor flat.

Anthony Littlejohn and his brother and worker did a wonderful job. It took them three days...one entire day of sanding. It was a hot, humid three days and they worked continually. I love my floors! These men are artists...and have pride in doing a great job... The cost for sanding and refinishing was $1795...additional $300 for molding. The cost was worth every cent.

The owner Anthony was responsive, fair in his pricing, and punctual (as was his team). Anthony showed up early on the start date and his team was right on time. They did not appear to take any breaks from what we saw and worked tirelessly from 8am to 6pm each day until the job was completed. They were respectful of our house and flexible with our comings and goings and went out of their way to accommodate our schedule on several occasions. Unlike some of the other quotes we received, Anthony guaranteed a 99% color match to our 20 something year old hardwood after sanding and staining; the closest someone else guaranteed was 75%. Their work is impeccable and it no doubt added significant value to our home. The transitions between rooms are seamless and the color is gorgeous. I would strongly recommend Acme to anyone and wouldn't consider using anyone else if the need arose again.

The floors turned out horrible and they damaged my house in the process of refinishing the floors. They damaged my closet doors. They took them off of the hinges and they were the sliding doors and they could never get them back on the tracks. They ruined the paint job that I just had done in the place and they were pretty awful. The owner of the company refunded me my deposit and paid for the damages that he caused so I did not pursue it any thus far. The price was good and he was fair and that he did reimburse me for everything. It was a fair price. They were responsive relatively. They were punctual. He also lost my house key.

Anthony returned my initial call promptly, came out the same week and gave me an estimate . I interviewed three installers and Anthony's quote was higher than the other two installers. I decided to go with him in spite of the cost, his presentation was very professional and he was knowledgable about the process , he gave me the pros and cons on the diffrent flooring I was looking at. He was the only one who came with liability insurance and workmans comp paper work to the initial interview, a big plus in his favor, he came prepared! He works with his brother and one other guy, they were punctual and completed the job in 2 1/2 days. They clened up after themselves each day. I am very pleased with the work they did, and will use them again when I do my upstairs. I took pictures of the before and after I hope I'm able to post them, the floors are beautiful !

Pasquale was very accommodating in doing this small job on a weekend, working 6-7 hours on Saturday and 1-2 hours on Sunday. We had removed wall-to-wall carpeting from our stairwell and found that the stair treads really needed to be refinished. The job certainly wasn't an emergency, but my painting contractor didn't want to begin painting the stairwell until the stairs were refinished. I explained this to the Littlejohns and they were very considerate in squeezing our job into that weekend. ACME advertises "dustless" sanding, and they're true to their word. Very timely, professional, and courteous. I highly recommend them.

It took them 5 days for them complete the work. We liked everything about them. It could not have a better experience. They finished the whole downstairs so that everything matched. Price wise they were a bit high and they ran into a bit of problems.

Anthony arrived on time to give an estimate and was able to start a week or so later. It took him 1 1/2 days to sand and polish three bedroom floors, floors that had probably only been vacuumed since the house was built in 1953. They also did the closet floors which I didn't expect...everything looks great. There was hardly any dust and they cleaned up and took their trash with them. These floors will definitely help in the sale of the house. I have referred ACME to several people and hope to have him to work in my own home soon.

Contractor provided estimate, we approved and the flooring was delivered exactly when promised. Contractor arrived on time when promised and installed wood flooring quickly and professionally in three days,

Acme was punctual in returning my initial phone call. Anthony came up and gave us an estimate and explained the processes for everything they were going to do. Dates were set and agreed upon. Pasquale and Anthony called to ask if they could come up early and start to take the carpet out and do preliminary work. They were always here when they said they would be and continued to meet with us to explain what would happen next. They worked tirelessly to make sure the job would be completed when they had said it would be. All sanding was "sandless" and attention was paid to keeping the chemical fumes to a minimum. Whenever there were windows opened for fume reduction, Pasquale would let us know which ones he had opened and when we could go in to close them. More than that , these two brothers are talented craftsman, artisans. They selected beautiful wood, did outstanding work and cared about all the details that would leave you, the homeowner, content with the finished product and ready to entertain! We will definitely choose Acme again.

The estimate went great and their timeframe to do the work was perfect. I found them both through Angie's List and had 2 personal referrals. I had selected 3 samples of finish before deciding on the final color. After the first day of sanding, they stained the samples for me to choose from which was great because I decided on a darker color than I had originally expected. I liked the communication and the updates that were provided to me. In total, they worked 4 complete days and did an excellent job. I would highly recommend them based on their reliability, communication, and quality of work. I trusted them in my home and with my 70year old original oak wood floors. Thank you!

Tony came to measure and assess the floors on a Friday. He and his brother did (and do) all the work. They started on Monday and thought that he would be done by Wednesday. The floors required more work than he originally thought so it took a bit longer, but he kept me informed during the process. They came out great. I felt bad taking the Angie's list discount that they have because it took him longer than he thought it would! Great job

The job was started on the planned day, and finished when promised. The floor looks new. There was no dust or mess or damage of any kind. We have used Anthony previously for three other jobs (one in another apartment, and two in our home) and we completely satisfied every time.

Our neighbor was having Acme work on his floors. I knew that the company was listed with an A rating on Angie's List. My husband went and grabbed Anthony for a quick look and estimate for our floors. That was on a Wednesday and they were here at the stated time on Monday to start. We had a walk through before they started to review what was to be done and I added a few last minute repairs. Plastic was taped to keep the kitchen from dust. There was really no dust. (Last refinishing there was dust "EVERYWHERE" and it even seeped in cabinets.) After sanding I was given a choice of stain colors. We had dark walnut stain on the floors for 30 years and my husband wanted natural. I had to be sure and after getting to see the color samples on the floor, I decided on natural. The products used are very low odor. We had nice days and the windows were cracked for venting, but really wasn't needed, not like thirty years ago when you really couldn't stay in the house. I was able to walk on the floor in the evening to use our only bathroom and sleep in my bed. The Littlejohns were very professional and courteous. They answered all my questions. I must admit that I was a little nervous when the floors were done, wondering if I should have gone with the dark stain again. After living with them for a few weeks I have come to really appreciate the beautiful natural oak color. I really can't comment on the pricing because we didn't get more estimates. Originally we were having some new family members from out of town refinish the floors. Due to various delays and a house in disarray, price became a non issue and getting the job done was more important. We still have two rooms left to do and we will have Acme finish those knowing there will be no problems. I would suggest to pet owners that they consider an alternate place for animals because of the noise of the sanders. The weather was nice so my cats and I stayed outside during the day.

The floors came out great! Anthony was very professional and responsive - Acme was the only company available to do the work when I needed it done, and everything was done when they said it would be. They sanded the floors and then stained small sections so I could pick what color stain I wanted, and finished the floors with satin, water-based poly. The price was a little high, but competitive (and I used the Angie's list coupon). I have only two minor complaints: first, the stain splattered a little on one of my white walls when it was applied with the floor buffer, so I have to paint that room/wall (which I was probably going to do anyway) and second (very nit-picky), they left a lot of masking tape in place over moulding that I had to take off. Overall I was very happy and would strongly recommend Acme.

They are professional and prompt. They stained my floor with several different shades to give me an idea of what it would look like and custom mixed a stain for me. After choosing the color, they re-sanded the floor and finished the project. They missed a small spot but returned within a day or two to fix the problem. I would definitely recommend this company.

If you are looking to get hardwood floors re-finished look no further. The Littlejohns are the best. Our house was built in 1929 with oak floors through out. They had been covered with carpet. We removed the carpet and readied the floors to save a little money. Anthony came over two days after my initial contact, explained the work they would perform, measured and gave us an estimate (which was very fair). The job was scheduled for 3 weeks later. Anthony and his brother Pasquali (sic) arrived on time and started work. There was NO DUST thanks to their state of the art vacuum. We have used others in the past and they left a mess. Not the Littlejohns. The job was finished in two and a half days as promised. Our floors never looked so good. Thank You Acme wood flooring.
